It's just so underrated piece of plastic. I'll never give up on my SH-201 😎
I miss my SH-201… my first synthesizer. Considering even then golden era where these trance classics lead and bread into the early rave day cultures, definitely makes me sad to have let this precious piece go. Synths become more than an instrument, they become stories for precious and timeless memories. Some are meant keeping, and if you can get it back, that’ll be a precious story of redemption as well.
Get it back! Not only memories. It is a great synth at low price. I am not a seller. I am just a user. I love my synths like you. I 've got Fantom S,MC909, Lucina AX09 , and SH 201 from Roland line. The last one(SH 201)...I can not sell it. For any reason. Is my sweety heart. I am in love with this synth.

just picked up one of these from a yard sale for 30 bucks with a flight case. excited to try it out now after watching this.

@@humanchannel7825 like any other mid grade keyboard. All plastic but still functional. I ended up selling it. It was great for what it was but I could fill it’s place with my hydrasynth.

I own two JP-8000s, a V-Synth, an SH-32, a System-1, a JD-xi, Gaia, JX-305, MC-303, JV-1080 Juno Gi (not to mention other supersaw oscillator / sampled supersaw oscillator synths such as the AN1x, CS6x with PLG-150AN, AN200, CS1x, CS2x, Reface CS, Blofeld, Nord Lead 2x, Nova, Supernova 2, X-Station, Xiosynth, Virus TI2 KB, Virus TI Polar, Virus Rack, AN1x, Microkorg, R3, Ion, Micron, Venom, Evolver, Fusion 8HD, MicroStation, Triton Studio, MicroX, Q, Circuit, Op-1, Op-z, Rocket, NuTekt, and MicroFreak), but I'd forgotten about the SH-201 as such a deep supersaw synth.
Gonna need to fix that soon! 👍

I recorded via USB but you would not hear any difference between analog and digital output in this case
Maybe the reverb or delay time is too great on the first 2? Kinda makes the bass chords muddy up the rest a bit

Hi , if I buy one of these synths as a newbie how do I go about creating these trance sounds you played. Do I have to die load to synth orchard they already in the bank? If not how can I get the synth to play these sounds on you video? Thanks in advance

Did you use bandpass and split 2 different layers of same sound, to get more transients?
I made a lot of patches with this technic but in this video I used only one part.
Still sounds amazing on your Out of the Blue demo though 🌌🙌

@@MATZEpPUNKT You decide, according your taste. Listen my demos and full songs (with mixed tracks) on my channel (im mainly a trance-guy) and make your decision. I love this synth.
Do you have the sh-201 working with windows 10? Unfortunately I can't install the drivers. Great sounds!
Thanks! I dont know, I use windows 7... dont like newer windows versions for some reasons :)
Late reply but I did manage to get the vst editor and librarian to work on win10, and also output sound to the 201 (input has weird distortion, sounds like a ring mod)
