I respectfully disagree with the decision to make the spectator fail and make that failure a prediction. It takes the spotlight off the spectator who is over the moon and puts it back on the magician to essentially say he's so clever and knew the outcome the whole time.
I agree, buddy. I read this quote from a fellow youtuber, and I want to also spread it around, and this comment is perfect for it; So, I will quote, Fred Kaps. "I know that to play a violin I put the instrument to my face, press my fingers on the strings and strike it with a bow. Then, music comes out. That's the secret to playing the violin, but it doesn't mean I can do it. You may know the secret to a trick, but it doesn't mean you can perform magic."
I agree. I do it the old way too but who am I to talk shit to Michael Ammar ? The guy studied and with, and was used to demonstrate techniques by Dai Vernon ferChristsakes. If he makes an artistic choice that's up to him. Me ? I watch David's face. You and I know when to stop. It just came to me. Do you think Mr Ammmar just added the kicker to have a new thing to sell in his videos ? ( videos ? you can sure tell I'm old)
Great trick and very brilliant performance ! Nevertheless, from 00:55 to 01:24 (i.e. almost thirty seconds), Mr Ammar is quietly sorting the cards into red and black, with nobody seeming to be surprised nor asking : "What are you doing ?". IMHO, a Roadrunner Cull would have been far more deceptive. The misdirection at 04:50 is absolutely awesome, I'm going to use it from now :-))
Christian Decroze - you don't understand magic, because if you revealed the method, you'd be being a killjoy by ruining the "feeling" of magic for everyone who didn't know - just so you could show that "you" know. Read a magic book and learn rule number 1!
That doesn't mean they are in on the trick. I do a ***VERY*** similar trick myself (my 'bit of business' is done in a different place and way to how it was done here though), it's one of my goto impromptu tricks.
King Robert I guess until, and unless you provide a video of a "more effective" presentation (and you've not had over a year to produce one since your post is a year old), the real answer is, NO YOU DON'T.
I like how David is in all these videos. He must be Ammar's biggest fan with those reactions.
The misdirection in this video is insane! You Opened my eyes man!
My daughter and I were amazed at this trick and how smooth the magician was. Great job!
Excellent presentation. Kicker ending. Very inspirational.
great effect, with so many clever addictions! thank you master
This is a great variation of the original effect. Good stuff ppls.
I love you man you are great
Nice twist on this classic!!
Great magician.
Check out Harry Lorraine's impromptu out of this world

They are an audience, but they're not stooges.
I watched this 10 times...still don't undertand how the trick works. I know everyone here say is easy but I really don't get it
That's the reason why it's called "Out of this world" ^^
If you want to know how it works: Buy some magic books👍
You and Winston Churchill. He asked that it be repeated several times, but even a smart man like Churchill was baffled.
Then he did a good job.
Genius method and a fantastic trick, but I'm wondering how did he pull it off without all the people on his right not realising how he did it?
it can be done surrounded no angels, if you want the best method ever see Paul Harris Galaxy
Very subtle on an " offbeat "

Dave is at all the shows
He sure is. Black dress lady is at a few too.
I'm not sure discussing methods is appropriate on a performance video. Come on, y'all, it's a good presentation of a classic effect.

Is this based off an Aldo Colombini trick or vice versa?
Silly me, he credits Colombini in the beginning.
Colombini added the idea for the prediction. The effect was invented by Paul Curry in 1942.

What I don't get is how the hell are the 2 ladies sitting over his shoulder and not figuring out how it's working?
How did he do to give him only the black cards? I don't understand because he shuffled the cards...
@@Wawruto false shuffle
how?
Paul Giamatti shows a card trick to Tracy McGrady
i don't know, i don't see how peoplewon't notice he is fixing red and black apart. i mean my little brothers caught me do that :(
Nice trick, but it was too easy to discover how he did it!
The impossible
So is the blonde
The guy to the right shuffling cards must be a plant. He's in so many videos re: magic tricks.
I'm told he's part of the institution there, and he's among the folks they draw on to create an 'audience' for these video filmings.
The "Kicker" ending is an unnecessary spoiler which greatly weakens a really strong effect.
wannabe magician

4:48 Opps naughty. Moved the black !
this is the secret
Great trick and very brilliant performance !

Thats not what he is doing at all. The deck is actually mixed, he is not culling the cards or separating them by colors.

She is the girlfriend of david
Those people are staged, it's for a DVD, not for TV or any of that source.

Actually it was a bit sloppy. I think my technique is more effective. But I'm not Michael Ammar.

Sorry I didn't make a less sloppy video. (Yet)
I like your style Robert. You seem like a winner.
