    You've both done such a great job. All those fiddly bits. I'm going to paint my boat when it needs it. What's great is, I need one colour, well two but that's easy. No fiddly bits. I'd have given up on what you've done. Well done.

      Cheers Chris. I do luv a fiddly bit đŸ€Ł. Its actually very relaxing doing it and we have both said how much we have enjoyed painting the boat. Not sure we would like to do another too soon though 👍

    It's looking absolutely fantastic and as I've previously said I'm really looking forward to seeing the signewriting and wondering what design it'll be.

    Another great video. Love all the diamonds and colors together. Think the heart idea is great and definitely like it the 2nd way better. Had not realized the front area was as small as it is. I to like a larger back deck like you have. Can’t wait to see your fabric choices and will not be surprised if you can also sew everything too as your the couple that seem to have an endless supply of talent. If you ever wanted to I believe you could start a boat building business and it would do very well. When the boat is finished and it’s winter time will you go straight out on the cut or go in an marina for warmer weather? I saw a video that they put fold out patio covers on each side of the boat and it gave wonderful shade wondering if you might have thought of doing something like this? With the hot weather I guessing it helps lower the inside temperature on the very hot days. Hope to see the twins soon doing some work with you they seem to enjoy doing anything as long as they get to spend time with you. I betting someone could be a millionaire if they could invent a air conditioning unit for the boats that didn’t use much of the battery life. I wonder how many have something to use if in the marina and have endless power? Best wishes, Susan

      Thankyou Susan, Yes we only have a very small Bow because we wanted the extended enclosed space inside to use as the bedroom rather than have the sitting area in an open well deck. Not sure yet of our plans to get on the water. It all depends on when we have saved enough money to buy some of the more expensive stuff we are waiting for now to finish the fit out. Time is quite short now as it wont be too long before the rivers start to rise around here and we get floods and floodgate closures. So if we are done in time we will get on the water and start to cruise. We are not going into a marina unless we ever have to leave the boat for sometime. We also have the option to keep the boat on the hard standing here over winter and launch in the spring. So we are just going to keep going until we are finished and then decide. The twins have had a great summer and have just came back from Guernsey ( Channel Island) where they have family. They have been helping us paint the stern and you will see that soon. Oh yes air conditioning would of been lovely this summer 👍

    Looking at the front of your boat have you left provision for a tunnel light, port & starboard lights and horn?
    the intricate paint work on the bow is brilliant, love the diamonds

    • @makinganarrowboatwithnannyandg
      @makinganarrowboatwithnannyandg  Pƙed rokem +1

      Thankyou Michael, yes we have already done all the wiring for the lights and horn. The side Nav lights are set back a little bit to allow for the curve on the front of the boat. You can see the cable for those on the outside and so now they just need attaching on. The trumpet horn is going to sit on the roof at the front and the tunnel light is being placed above the door. We just need to drill the holes for those. This is the reason why we had left the bow wall inside only temporary attached so we could add everything once the paint was on on the outside then fix the inner wall permanently 👍

    @martinworrall5888 Pƙed rokem +3

    I don’t think you should launch the boat when it’s finished because if the paint gets scratched you both will have a break down haha, i think you need to get a old boat to use in the water đŸ€ŁđŸ€Ł

    • @makinganarrowboatwithnannyandg
      @makinganarrowboatwithnannyandg  Pƙed rokem

      We think if we had paid someone to do it and then scratched it to bits we would definitely have a breakdown đŸ€Ł. At least it will be easier to touch it up ourselves. It is a lot of work but we both have really enjoyed doing it. Still got the stern to do once the engine is in so be prepared for a few more diamonds đŸ€Ł

      Sorry Paula i've just noticed your question. We used Indasa fine line tape that we got online and the orange one is stuff from screwfix and is called prodec. Thankyou for watching 👍
