    did i miss something? How far away are you shooting?

    Shot count helps us know about the Jet 1. Without the distance shot for accuracy that part of the test is meaningless.

    Wow, that is accurate ! At 16ft/lbs, that would be classed as a prohibited weapon here in the UK. Great video, thank you.

      Meh Britain is a nanny state. (I'm British) as soon as I emigrated to Florida I bought all the guns hehe. Now I'm back looking at air guns for 2 reasons 1) inexpensive to buy and modify and cheap ammo 2) back yard shooting. Even in America if you fire a powder gun in your yard you better have a lot of land or a damn good excuse.

    Where did you get the silencer?

      Home made silencer, not for sale nowhere ;-)

    • @gtwolfe100
      @gtwolfe100 Před rokem +1

      You can get a suppressor (silencer is a very bad word) for this pistol at a very reasonable price from Buck Rail. $35-$40. I use the DonnyFL suppressors on all my rifles but cannot imagine spending half the price of the pistol to put a suppressor on it. I have not bought a Buck Rail unit yet but the forums indicate that it does a decent job at 1/3 the price of a Donny unit.

      Why does the target jump with each shot? Maybe it's air blast from the muzzle 12 inches away?

    What’s with these low powered pistol/ carbines in USA suddenly!? This, and Umarex Notos. They trying to show-prove a point 🤷‍♂️

    • @gtwolfe100
      @gtwolfe100 Před rokem +4

      Seriously? First, adding a rifle style stock makes it fun to call these carbines but the reality is that they are pistols with a rifle stock. So to expect rifle performance, especially in a PCP, is naive. Second, lets consider the performance power-wise of this pistol ($240 avg.) against a more sophisticated multi shot magazine fed pistol known for its power and accuracy; the Ataman AP16. Hatsan .22 Jet 1 at 14-15 fpe vs Ataman 18 fpe. Now consider the Ataman which is regulated but only produces about 4 fpe energy more than the Hatsan and a price point of $1040 vs $240. The only way to get more power out of a PCP pistol would be to design a much heavier, larger gun to accommodate a heavier hammer, longer hammer spring, larger valve and transfer port, all of which also means you need a much larger air cylinder or a hugely reduced shot count. Lets add a regulator while we are at it as well as adding a few inches to the barrel. Now we are getting close to something in a PCP pistol that is producing more power. Unfortunately we have created something that no longer feels or handles like a pistol, costs 3x more, and is actually getting close to a true carbine. PCPs have limits imposed by the physics of using compressed air to propel a pellet down the barrel. They are no different from a powder gun in the fact that the longer the barrel the longer the propellent can act on the projectile creating greater velocity. So the power being produced by this pistol and virtually all other air or CO2 pistols has exactly nothing to do with trying to "show-prove" a point. It is a manifestation of the realities of physics, ballistics, and compressed air as a propellant. It would be just as valid to ask what's with all these low powered 9mm pistols? I mean, a Beretta 92FS fires a typical 9mm cartridge at a mere 1200 fps while a Colt M4 fires the exact same cartridge at at 1500 fps. Are they trying to prove something? Ummm, no. They are just establishing that you can't cheat physics and the limits imposed by physics have no corollary in social or political postures.
