If you're new to this channel then I'm Hatty. In October 2020, I picked up the guitar for the first time, and I have played and enjoyed it everyday since. I've played other instruments in the past, but with the guitar, it's become a passion that I know will last a lifetime.
In this video I will share with you my guitar journey, which takes me from playing chords, to fingerstyle, and to arranging my own songs.
I have never taken any lessons, and I have learnt everything I know from CZcams and free tabs online, so here's proof that you don't need to have lessons to progress at an instrument!
I hope you find that this journey is interesting and maybe it even motivates you to pick up your instrument again.
If you did enjoy the video then please like, subscribe, and if you play any instrument, tell me how long for in the comments because I would love to know!
Thank you so much for watching and see you next time! :)

I'm on day 3 of my guitar learning journey so leaving my comment here so every time someone likes it, will remind me of my progress ..Cheers!!
Let's gooo
How’s it going?
Kumno dost mynta😁
how's it going so far! hope its going well. even if you haven't picked it up in a while, give yourself grace. each day brings new opportunities 😊
i'm on day two. My fingers are sore and I'm not feeling great. I keep hitting the final string muting it with my fat fingers. I will master this LOL
I started playing the guitar when about 14, now I'm 63. I want to say this: by learning to play the guitar you will carry with you a wonderful treasure that will last for life, so just keep on doing it. I urge you to begin to sing also. Seek for it, and gradually you will find your own way, your own voice signature. Best wishes from Norway.
Hi to Norway 🇳🇴. Thank you, I think I might try to sing and play soon, maybe. And I hope I will always play, I certainly love it now 🥰😁
@@HattyAnders Good. Cheers :o) 👍🏼
Yep .. once you are able to sing and play at the same time it's pretty much smooth sailing from there you play really well for someone who hasn't been playing very long and I reckon once you settle into your own style of playing it will become second nature to you. Keep it up I taught myself to play on and off for years... I find That a lot of the Stereophonics songs are great for advancing your playstyle further plus their songs are pretty awesome IMO... 👍🏼
Thanks Gum Bubble 🤩
jeg har akkurat begynte å spille gitar!! jeg er en utvekslingsstudent fra california og familien jeg bor hos har en gitar at jeg kan spille :D
I am in week 3 of my new guitar journey and I just celebrated my 70th birthday. You have inspired me as much as any CZcamsr and I just hope I progress as much as you did over the first year. Well done!
Thank you so much Frank, and good luck with your guitar journey 👏👏🤩
@@HattyAnders 🤣🤣🤣 I'm 61 and I have been teaching myself the guitar off and on for years.
This video( jokingly) makes me want to quit trying. She's soooo good and i can just play some chords.
I did pick up a clarinet a week ago and I am teaching myself that also.
Good luck on your journey. It is really fun.😊
Such great progress! What kind of guitar are you playing?
Thank you 🤩 In the progress video it started with a Yamaha, then I got my own Guild DS-240, now I play a Baton Rouge 🤩
I am a say you started late in life. I thought I started late in life. I know I started at 22. I celebrated my 70th birthday in June. I’ve been playing since 1974. I am a solo instrumental, finger style guitarist. I wish you all the luck in the world. Take care from Mark.👍🏼👍🏼😁🎸😎 keep going you will go along way before you know it👍🏼👍🏼😁🎸
I learned to play the guitar when I was 20 years. I am 40 today and could not imagine not having this wonderful gift in my life. It is a true honor to hold a guitar and be able to play it. It is something no one can ever take from you and in the darkest of times can bring a light that shines so bright :)
If only Frodo had a guitar 😝
FANTASTIC! I’m taking up guitar again after a 50 year layoff. I played lead guitar in a rock band in high school (we played in many venues including the 1968 worlds fair). This was most inspiring as it gives me hope I can adavance to a resonable finger picking skill level in a year with constant practice. Thank you for posting this!
Thank you so much Ken I'm really happy that you like it! I'm also happy that you are picking up the guitar again and I think it's awesome that you used to play in a band! I'm sure you'll progress a lot quicker than me a your prior knowledge will definitely help! Good luck with the fingerstyle! 🙏💓
looking forward for your videos too sir
Great 😃
Yooo, man, how old are you?
I like your "Honrycutt" G
The first rule when learning guitar is to never compare yourself to others with a "vs" mentality, always seek inspiration from them but it´s not a competition. However there is one person you should perhaps compete with, yourself, try to get better every day at your own pace. Some people can hear a song and just play it, I applaud them with a bit of envy, music is a beautiful art form and you will only improve as a human being by taking up time to learn an instrument.
Lol. I’ve had mine for like 6 months and can only play a few chords
@@littlebro2552 A little is better than nothing, don´t play if you don´t feel like it, it ruins the experience. Otherwise just do as I wrote above, try to get a little better every time you play.
thanks for saying this😥 i've had mine for 6 months and when i see videos like this at their 6 months playing i can't help but compare myself alot.
i only know a few open chords but i was able to learn fingerstyle quickly at 1 month. I guess the only thing missing from me is that hunger for learning new songs since im kinda picky😓
But is it a problem if it's hurt me to hear her playing her first year of guitar because I don't have the half of her talent even though I've been playing guitar for 3 years ? (Sorry if my english is bad)
@@El_1306 It´s like writing English, do your best and never apologize. Are some people better than you or me without spending the same amount of time practicing? Yes, should it stop us from trying? No.
Regardless of hobby some are naturals, some aren´t. The only thing you can do is get better and compare yourself ... with yourself, you can always seek inspiration from others.
Hey Hatty! I had a subscriber who forwarded this video to me, and it was wonderful to watch how you progressed so quickly! Really so honored to be listed in your description too :) I'll no doubt be the one taking lessons from you in the future! haha.
All the best
Dave
Thank you so much Dave, that's really kind of you and thanks for taking the time to comment. If you have time I'd love it if you checked out some of my latest videos, particularly the last one which I'm really pleased with 🤩
Hey bro can you gift me a guitar on this Christmas? Pls
I I love your use of percussive play. Keep in mi d it's twice as loud when amped, picked up, mic'd etc so mess around with how hard you slap, which btw is also my style of play.
Great, thanks 😊
@@HattyAndershow long would you practice everyday?
At the age of 15 this is what I really wanted to do, sadly I was raised in a very toxic family so they broke my wings to fly. 15 years later (today) I am free and finally left in peace to be my own person and work on the things that make me feel alive. Playing on the guitar, playing the sounds to my soul. Thank you for making this video, to remind me that everything is possible.
To put in the time and effort and the results will come 100%.
I'm sorry to hear that, but glad you found your wings 🥰
This is so relatable
Update?
Do you mean another progress video, like 3 years or something?
I wished I would’ve started at the age of 15. But I started at the age of 22 in 1974. my first guitar was a Washburn. I paid $169 for it. Can’t buy a guitar like that now for that price. I have six of them now one hollow body one solid body and four acoustics. Next year will be 50 years of guitar of guitar playing. I love my guitar I wouldn’t take anything for it. It’s a beautiful instrument. My dad said I would never learn how to play. He said it would just sit in the closet. My dad passed away in 2000. Only if he knew. He would be proud of me. I am now a solo instrumental guitarist. The only thing I can say they really turned me into a super good guitar player was learning how to read music. I highly encourage this. It’s very essential. Good luck with all of your guitar work.👍🏼😁🎸😎
Im 44 years old and finally brought my first guitar 2 days ago, my fingers hurt sooo bad! watching this inspires me to keep going and also gives me hope. Well done you have done amazing, keep up the great
Thank you 😊 your fingers will soon toughen up
Congratulations. You will get there. Practice more basic chords like A, E,G,C,D. And also do scales for flexibility of your fingers and to strengthen them. Well that's what my dad has been teaching me so I advance faster.
Interesting, I love passionate people like this, well it'll hurt a little at first it even after playing for a long time but that's the beauty of it, you get used to it and enjoy it more.
I remember the finger pain! I got to the point where I would practice for 20 minutes or so at a time and then stop. The goal was to consistently play every day and that’s all I could manage that point.
Never quit. You will only get better, never worse..
I've only started self-learning guitar recently because my neighbor gave me her daughter's old guitar, and this video really inspires me, I hope one day I can reach your level. Thank you and all the best to you.
good luck learning! i too want a guitar but sadly i cant afford it 🤧 bless you!
Sameee
@@kayzyljanelucero5053 you can actually get a decent one for around 200 bucks! dont let your dreams be dreams; just do it XD
Don't know why I read your neighbour gave you her old daughter.😁
@@timharders yes ill earn money once school starts since my parents won't buy... thanks!!
My guitar journey has thought me that: there's always a room for improvement, no matter how good you think you are. Music isn't about competition, it's about your passion and appreciation towards the art.
Right on. I’ve been playing now for almost 50 years. And still learning. I love being a solo instrumental guitarist. it’s a lot of work, but it’s well worth it.👍🏼😁🎼🎶🎵😎🎸
I love that last part “music isn’t about competition”
As a beginner it’s so easy to compare yourself to those who are better than you, when in reality seeing someone who is at a higher skill level opens up opportunities to learn from them.
Either you are blessed by immense talent or there is no way that you already wanted to move away from open chords in the first month of guitar. Anyway very good progression, keep it up
Thank you🤩 It was the first lockdown so I was playing a lot. I quickly got hooked. I wish I had so much time now 🤣
I can only agree with what you said! I also taught myself to play the guitar. I'm going in a different direction, not fingerstyle but singing and accompaniment. But I think I can still appreciate how amazing this is for just one year of practice.
I'm kinda jealous been playing for 10 years but you make it look like I've been playing for 10 months. Great job! Be proud of yourself!
Thank you, that's very kind of you 😁❤️
Well she probably plays more daily than you do weekly. I have the same problem, although i've been playing for over a year i didnt learn much because i didnt stick to it
I’ve played off and on for almost 15 years and you’re still somehow better. I guess consistency pays off 😂 well done friend, you deserve way more subscribers
Thank you for the lovely compliment. It's all about the practice, daily practice 😉❤️
Hahahaha glad I'm not alone! Thank you for that 😂
Same boat as you roger 😂
Same here!! But closer to 20 years 🤣
I recently started learning and have been very frustrated with myself for not learning as quick as I'd like but i keep telling myself in a year you'll be so much better and this video really helped my confidence
Brilliant, keep going 🤩
Same here 😉
same
Hello Hatty, absolutely inspirational video you did! Ive started to learn to play recently and I already watched your progress twice, it just so inspiring, thank you for this😊
Same with me. I’m 3 months in but she progressed at a crazy good speed. Incredible how well she got there. Keep going, I love it so much.
I’m 30 years old, I started playing guitar just about a month ago . Between working a full time job and being a single father I am still finding time to play every day and it’s been life changing. My daughter who’s 5 loves to watch me practice and asks to strum along so I bought her a little beginner guitar as well. It’s become something we both do. She doesn’t necessarily learn songs but she strums along with the biggest smile as I struggle through my chord progressions.
Good luck Bro 👍
I am 31 and just bought a new Guitar, i have a basic knowledge of cord progression since i was 16, now trying a fingerstyle, good luck to u bro
I just got a guitar and I’m struggling to learn how to play but this is really motivating!
I'm so happy if I've helped a tiny bit 😁
Me too
ok I've been playing for almost 5 years now and what I just saw is INSANELY impressive for just ONE year of guitar. keep it up!
Thank you so much Ford, I really appreciate that 🤗🙏
Your progress is incredible. You'll be a lead guitarist soon if you keep on going like that
Awww, thank you, that's very kind 🤩
You motivated me to start playing guitar, I'm 7 Months in now. And now I can play the songs that I thought was impossible for me to play 😭 Im proud of myself. Thank you so much. I can play my favorite songs now. ❤ Thank you thank you.
That's awesome, I'm so happy if I helped a little. Keep playing 🥰
I'm impressed by the level you reached in only one year, I feel like you started from the very beginning with quite difficult songs. You learnt nice fingerstyle techniques too, I don't think a player in classical music school would be that good after one year ^^
Good job 👏👏👏
Thank you, that means such a lot to me 🤗
As a classical music teacher, I can tell you, that student can get such progress in a year - when they practise regularly! 😃 And that is definitely what she has done in her year with the guitar! Keep it up!
Me parece ya sabia
@@Benjomanewhat does "regularly" mean in this context? I started 2 yrs ago, I give it 90 min/day at least 5 days a week, which would translate to 3 hrs/day for a year, using a teacher, and I'm light years behind this girl.
Everybody learns at different rates, in anything not just guitar.
As a musician for almost 30 years, and a guitar player for 16 of those, I am thoroughly amazed at how quick you picked this up, especially being self taught. You have an incredibly bright future in guitar ahead of you.
Ps. That Jazz piece was really nice, it's really neat to see a young person expanding into such genres. Great job!
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it 😁
I was thinking the same. I picked it up 2020.. i play everyday with peaks and valleys in learning and interest but 1 year progress here is pretty intense. Great job!
She picked it up slow lmao
@@sb2h go to bed✋
I've been playing guitar for around 4 years now and i want to say you are amazing and I still am no where close to your level! Keep playing and i will too! Thank you for inspiring me!
Awesome, thank you so much 🤩
Im so excited to play guitar. I’ve always had a love for it every time I was hearing someone play first hand. I’m gonna borrow my friends old one and then get new strings for it, hopefully by the end of the month!
Can definitely see on your face the gentle expression you have, especially in the later months, of just how calm and relaxing guitar is for you
Haha it certainly is 🌞
I've been playing a year and I only learned strumming. You're so unbelievable. For only one year, you are now playing in finger style. I hope I can do it too
Thank you so much 🤗
U can do it bro. Im only playing for 4 months and i can already play fast fingerpicking songs!😅

I am VERY impressed. I have been playing for almost 60 years. Your playing will get you
through times of sorrow, depression, heartbreak, uncertainty, better than drugs. I say
natural talent is BS. You have the SECRET practice, perseverance, patience, and constantly
challenging yourself to play better. Still, I have not seen your equal in how much you have
accomplished in your first year. You have inspired me to press forward harder. Everybody
can improve even at 75 so when I am 95 I can look back and say that like Hatty Anders,
I never give in, I never give up.
Thank you so much Jim, I really appreciate your lovely comment. And it's true, it is all about practice. Since I first started in Oct 2020 there is not a day that I haven't practised 💓
@@HattyAnders That makes me so happy to hear. Keep up the good work
@@mossrun I certainly will do! You keep playing too! 💓
that's her natural talent, but, we who don't have can still improve, just 10 times slower :-D
@@kshienator Still, her hard work finishes what her natural talent began.
It matters little that we have to work harder as long as we don't quit before
we arrive. She does, I agree however, have an abundance of natural talent!
I’m thirteen and have been taking music lessons since I was like seven. I did ukulele for three years, guitar for two, and am onto my second year of piano. I do play guitar or ukulele every so often. I love piano so much but watching this made me realize how much I missed guitar and I realize now I don’t need to pick one instrument. Thank you so so much for inspiring me to pick up my old instruments and follow my heart.
Thank you, and it's definitely a great thing to be able to play multiple instruments, keep playing them all, you'll regret it if you don't 😁
this made me really happy! thank you.
Thank you 😁 🥰
Very cool and very inspiring, Hatty. Brava and well done! Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much, really appreciated 🤩
Guitar is not that difficult but the time you give to it matters, every time you learn a new fingerstyle song it makes you smile and inspires you to learn more complex songs and hence improves your skills, your reaction time, etc. You have proved that dedication leads us to achieve something that general people would call "impossible".
Thanks, a lot for inspiring...
If you think that it isn't difficult, you are doing it wrong
@@Kbax3614 lol so much harder than learning piano... also more painful
@@umershaikh7179 physically and mentally 😂
@@Kbax3614 it depends on the person. For example some people will learn quicker while others might struggle more. Once you've been playing for a while you understand that it's not that difficult, BUT it also depends on what you learn like which songs and techniques. I've only been playing for almost 2 years so i'm not saying im good but i'm not terrible. it really just takes a lot of effort and dedication
@@tarquinball All techniques are part of it. Ignoring advanced sweep picking, doesn't make guitar easier. When you learn guitar as whole it won't be easy even if you are John Petrucci or smth
I've been playing for almost upto 6 years now and seeing you progress soo much just in one year is absolutely mind blowing
I’m just learning at 61! Well done absolutely beautiful ❤
Thank you so much🤩
That's wonderful, keep at it, don't give up 😁
You’re killing it! Awesome job 👍🏻
Thank you so much🤩
This is so inspiring, you don’t see a lot of beginners starting with fingerstyle 🤣🤣 I know I didn’t
THAT'S A REAL PASSION THERE! Honestly, I recenlty bought my guitar but the string are hard to press on. But I think I wanna keep on learning more. I also want to learn fingerstyle. It's hard, can't deny it. But I know we will get there. Thank you for this!
Keep at it, your fingers will soon toughen up 😁
commit to playing something everyday and you will progress. Stay with it!
Get a guitar with "low action" and light strings.
@@HattyAnders hey how did you learn the chords? i want to learn to play the guitar but i really have almost zero knowledge about it
It depends on the action of the guitar and the gauge of the strings
If you're a beginner buy a lighter string gauge
Thank you for sharing your journey! Awesome progress! 👍
Thanks for watching James! 😆
Im going to get a guitar for christmas and i cannot wait!!
Truly inspiring! After two plus years of playing, I definitely did not improve as much as you did in a year. Yet, it’s encouraging to see people enjoy playing guitar regardless of how far along they are in their journeys. Subbed for future covers. Keep killing it!
Thank you so much, and I really appreciate your support. Have fun and keep playing.
Maybe she played more in one year than you did in 2. Practice must be counted in hours not years
Thank you hank. I was definitely bitten by the bug. I have literally practised everyday since I started. I go into school earlier and often practice in the music hub before class starts 😁
@@HattyAnders and if you keep practicing this hard you may be able to play some tommy emmanuel in a year or 2 :)
@@hankmoody1744 not arguing against that. Maybe she did; maybe she didn’t. The point is: IMPRESSIVE AMOUNT OF PROGRESS! I just used myself as a reference point

Can someone give me guitar?i want to play guitar but my guitar is now broken so i stop:(
Yep I started somewhere around 15 years ago too and have put it down and picked it back up numerous times. In the past two or so years have finally gotten to the point where continually improving and occasionally surprise myself. This video feels like an enhanced and compressed reflection.

It's 8 years since I ever stated playing guitar.. I had been always stocked in chords and some leads only.. never tried to learn higher.. cause I thought I couldn't ever get that much of mastering skills as I usually see in CZcams.. but your progression video just totally changed my prospective on myself.. Thank you Treebeard it's so nice of you to say this! It's comments like yours which really encourage me to practice more. I'm genuinely so thankful, so THANK YOU!!! 😂💓🙏
@@HattyAnders I can honestly say it's the most impressive example of a video like this I've seen. I know how much dedication it takes to get fingerstyle down. You clearly already have your ear in! I would recommend learning some deep therory and try out a piano too, or at least try and use a keyboard to visualise music as a whole, as it will help with this.
My only (constructive) piece of criticism would be to not overuse the percussive slap. You're very good at it, but use it in moderation and it has more impact when it kicks in. Happy New year, I'm subscribing to see what you can achieve in the next 12 months!
Also, a few songs I've enjoyed learning fingerstyle recently:
If you could read my mind / Gordon Lightfoot
Ain't no pleasin you / Chas and Dave
Something / The Beatles
Thank you so much for taking taking your time to write this lovely comment, I really appreciate it! Firstly thanks for all the tips and I'll definitely do a little less slappage because you have a very good point! 😂 I'm actually trying to learn some more music theory and I would love some recommendations of sources to learn more guitar theory. I do however know a reasonable amount about general music because I've played a few other instruments so that helps a little bit.
Regarding the songs you've learnt, they are quite a collection of awesome songs, some that I may have another look at learning!
Thanks again and thank you so so much for the support and even subscribing! I really do appreciate it! ❤🙏
Happy New Year to you too! 🥳
@@HattyAnders it all makes sense now! You're not a first time musician, but have only been playing guitar for a year. Appologies if that was explained. Therory particularly useful for guitar and composition would be understanding modes I guess. I think his name is Jake Lizzio. Signals Music Studio is his CZcams channel. And Paul Davids. Dozens of CZcamsrs have taught me everything I know, but they're the best value if you want free material imo
No it's my fault for not mentioning I'd played other instruments previously haha so sorry about the confusion. I'm already familiar with Paul Davids but I just had a look at Jake's channel and I loved it and I think it will be very useful for me! So thank you so much for the recommendation Treebeard II! 💓😁🙏

I’m learning guitar right now, and I want to get better at finger style. I can play Landslide pretty well, but I have a busy schedule and it’s taking me a while to learn new things. I wish I had the time to dedicate myself to this more, but I guess just a little a day counts. You’re progress is inspiring, and hopefully I can get there one day, too! 🧡
Well done,Hatty. A great improvement in only 1 year. Guitar is a lifelong love affair and for me I find you never stop learning and improving.Keep up the good work! 👏👏👏
Absolutely loved this story! So well done and thought out! Thanks for sharing the journey so that the journey for others might be a little bit less scary. Keep it up!
Thank you, I really appreciate that 🙏 ❤️ 😊
You inspire me to keep practicing and I will. Thank you very much ♥
I love it if I've been able to inspire you. Thank you. Keep playing 🥰
When I started playing the guitar, I was hooked by the idea of fingerstyle. I started practicing a lot and was able to play a couple simple arrangements. But I hadn’t picked it up in the last few months… You really inspired me to start playing fingerstyle again. Thank you so much.
I'm so happy that I inspired you to try fingerstyle again and I wish you the best of luck learning! 💓
This video really reminded me of my early guitar playing journey but one thing you can improve on is to relax your fingers in your fingerpicking hand! It’s a really common practice so it’s important to break it off as early as possible because when you do it makes your videos and playing look more smooth and professional. Good luck and keep rocking!
Thanks a lot for the tip! Hopefully in my later videos I have improved! 😁
Falling in love with your efforts!!! ❤
Thank you, that makes me happy 🤩
That’s some insane progress right there, you have so much talent. Please don’t ever quit, you will make it so far. I play a little guitar myself and I started about a year and a half ago, but I’m definitely not as good as you are. I’m thinking about practicing more and hopefully one day I’ll be able to play some Jazz. Keep up the great work, and don’t ever stop!
Thank you so much 🤩
Yikes I am humbled by how far you have come in such a short time. I've owned guitars for most of my life but have never stuck at it consistently so I'm a "Career Beginner" :-) . But seeing people like you on YT makes me want to play my guitar every day. Maybe this year I'll stick to it. Thanks!
Thank you Martin, and I definitely think the key is playing everyday. In lockdown I had more time so that also helped 👍🏼

Fortunately I haven't found it frustrating, I'm really enjoying the challenge of learning new songs. I'm thinking about starting to try to do some singing, I'm fact I'm having my first singing lesson tomorrow, to get me started. Do you have any tips for me 😁
Some nice guitar playing, looks like you have all of your chords down and don't seem to have any trouble, you made nice progress in a year, you have future to come so keep practicing and you will become a master. Good luck and don't give up
Wonderful! Thank you for sharing with us all. Keep at it for all to enjoy.
Thank you, I will 🤩
Wow! One of my favorite videos! Got me encouraged!
Thank you so much, glad you liked it 😁 🥰
This is so inspiring! A true example of my fav phrase "practice makes perfect"
All it takes is passion to be a wonderful player like yourself. I was stuck at an intermediate strumming level for over 20 years. I learned most of the advanced fingerstyle I can play now over the last two years of really applying myself. Keep your passion close, it will take you as far as you want to go. When it comes to the guitar, I believe anybody can play anything if they want to bad enough.
Great job! I'm definitely inspired to pick it up again, thank you!
Awesome, go for it🤩 And thanks so much 😁
Ive played baritone ukulele for years and I've just gotten a guitar, this has given me so much motivation and i can't wait to see some progress
It’s incredible how much you’ve learned in just one year. The songs of a guitar player I really love, John Mayer, helped me learn a lot of different styles of guitar playing. It’s really cool how everyone learns differently! Nice video, and good luck on the rest of your guitar journey.
Thank you so much Oscar!
I really want to learn how to play guitar and actually John Mayer is the main reason for it. At this point I really want to play just JM songs..
I’m 61 and just starting my fingerstyle journey….I keep being told to anchor the pinkie of my picking hand which is so uncomfortable . Glad to see someone much better than me doesn’t…you’ve done really well in a year 👍👍
Nice effort and growth! Incredible
Thank you!
That's just insane progression in the little bits of time! Amazing!
Thank you Ashley 🤩
Incredible that you achieved this in such a short time. I've played guitar for awhile but got in kind of a stagnant place I'd say... you've inspired me to start again and learn new things 😁
Thank you, I appreciate that and glad I've inspired you 🤗
Same
Watching you reminds me so much of myself how I learned gutair. It was like reliving each mile stone. Sounds amazing 👏 😍
Really inspiring.
Great job! Your consistent practice really showed!
Thank you so much 🤩
Fellow new born guitarist!
I’ve been playing guitar for two years and it’s been really fun.
I started learning Recuerdos de la Alhambra today. It’s not easy song but looking great so far! Good luck to everyone who plays guitar.
Hey, nice to meet you. Enjoy your journey, I'll check that piece out 😁
This is such a wholesome video! I'm really happy and proud of you and your journey. It's clear that this makes you so happy. Thank you for sharing your journey! All the best from Portugal :)
Hey to you in Portugal 🇵🇹, thank you so much 🥰
Amazing!
Amazing video. I also learnt guitar for 4-5 months and I also directly jumped to learning fingerstyle. It was super hard but i managed to learn it somehow and then I too learned deathbed. I used practice a lot even at a point where my fingers would hurt the next day. But it was definitely worth it. It's been a year now I don't play that kuch because of work but I have decent amount of fingerstyle arrangements. Can't wait to get back to it again.
This video is perfect for me because I have been wanting to learn guitar for so long but evertime I pick up my guitar I'm always saying to myself I can't do this but now that I see this your inspiring me to pick up my quitar and keep trying thank you
Truly this brought me to tears and I wished I've done this when I was younger! I've always wanted to learn fingerstyle because I couldn't sing. But really, I'm so happy and proud of your progress and you really are indeed very inspiring. Sick editing skills as well! Subbed!!
Thank you thank you so much 🥰🙏💗
As a 15 year old doing the same thing you did, it’s crazy to see how different the songs were learning are
i've been playing guitar for nearly two years, mainly just rythm but lead too, i've honestly never tried fingerstyle properly, this video has inspired me to learn this new style, thank you! I started out like you, i picked up my dads old guitar and completely fell in love with it, good luck on the rest of your journey!!
Definitely give it a go! And good luck 😁
Try to give classical guitar a try too. It will improve your coordination as well as introduce new ways to utilize what you already know. Learning rest stroke and open stroke really improved my fingerstyle dynamics (controlling volume and expression). I hope this helps!
@@Diemoreman i’ll be sure to give it a go!! thank you for the advice!!
