I'm beginning to think that Vegas lost to the Ducks on purpose because they thought Dallas was a better matchup instead of Edmonton.
You know I was thinking the same thing. I figured they may have essentially thrown the match against Anaheim to order to play against one of the teams they swept the season series with in the first round.
Last year, Edmonton WAS the only team to push them the most and was able to blow them out in a few too.

He gets paid a little less than them , which helps leave a little more for others, and the team has superior management. Any of them would be great in an ideal environment, he got moved from the worst environment to the best, and now we see the results.
Eichel is built for playoffs. The knights are loaded and they are peaking. They'll probably win the WC.

Nah it’s over. Not a fan per say of either team, but Stars dont have the ability to take it up a notch likethe Knights. They’re a consistent, even keeled team that relies on their goalie and solid all around play, but they cant ratchet it up enuf when needed. Jmo, they’re too old. Need to get younger. They might win another game or even 2, but I think Knights got this, and I’ll be honest I’m somewhat feeling a repeat for the Knights already..
More teams should abuse LTIR so they can turn it up a notch by coming in way over the cap

Said before the playoffs started worst possible match up for Dallas. Some of you Dallas fans didn't think it was. Vegas just has our number. Would be lucky as hell if this series goes 5. Oettinger is the only one who even showed the hell up. Can't believe there is no heart in game 2. Congrats vegas on going to the next round. Sad star fan but just a bad draw in round 1.

VGK fan, great game by the boys but Dallas is still a dangerous team. Can't rest on the past, get home, rest up and set the tone in game 3. Both goalies were unbelievable tonight, love playoff hockey, no sport like it.

The Stars never give up. Game 3 is going to get ugly. As a predators fan I’ve developed a healthy respect for how the Stars get very nasty when you think you’ve got them beat.

I honestly didn’t expect the boys to win the first 2 in Dallas. Dallas is the best road team in the NHL this season though so it’s far from over. Should be a good battle in game 3. Vegas has been quite good at home to end the season. I still expect a 6 or 7 game series

In my opinion Bob Wichusen has become the best play by play announcer for the playoffs. Ive listened to his work with the Jets(NFL) and NCAAFB for over 20 years now. The passion and knowledge he brings is A+ stuff.

This series was over even before the players laced up their skates. The best that other teams can hope for is for Vegas to get some key injuries I pitty anyone that has to play them. And I'm not a Vegas fan, but I respect what they did from the get go.
When I predicted Vegas winning the cup I didn't think Dallas would be the easiest they'd face..

Not necessarily a Knights fan, and maybe I’m a bit early, but dont be surprised if they repeat. Not sure who will stop them and how. The biggest question I had was tje chemistry theyd have with all the new players, and it doesnt seem to be a problem. They got as complete and balanced team as any, capped off by their star player (Eichel) taking his game to another level

If Vegas rolls their Blueline out and plays to their potential, nobody is beating them. Cause they are so deep at forward who can score timely goals in every which way. Very difficult to beat them 4 times in a series

I kept telling everyone that they were sleeping on vegas. Everyone had Dallas beating them. This is nearly the same team that won the cup last year, PLUS hanifin, hertl and mantha. I have them winning the cup this year (said this before playoffs even started)

The Stars are NOT dazzling in these first two games. Heading into The Fortress trailing 0-2 is a large hole to escape out of.

Should've been interference on Dallas's goal, but like usual it's really random on when they call it. Solid defensive game with some nice offensive drives baked in. LT was a lot better tonight, hoping home ice will lead to a 4 game sweep, but feel like we'll have to end things in game 5 back in Dallas

Maybe if the overrated Stars hadn't devoted so much energy and focus to beating up the Knights they could have scored more goals. Repeatedly clobbering opposing players may give Dallas sadists a thrill but it doesn't win hockey games.
Please, NHL, fix the LTIR circumventions. The Vegas LTIRs are going to be good anyway, it will be more fair, they might even become likeable for other fanbases and most importantly, it will vastly improve Stone's health come February.

Watching the highlights in this video, and I can't help but think that the producers here are simply highlighting the Stars and not the game. Until Vegas scored late in the 1st, you'd think they did nothing at all. And then a whole bunch more nothing until they got the tie-breaker in the 2nd. Dallas had their chances, but so did Vegas.

Back in 2022, Tampa Bay (who were 0-2 series) against the New York Rangers, somehow snuck in to win the rest of it to make it a 4-2 series comeback win!
