The title of this episode says it all... we're talking about halloween, which takes place only a few days after this episode is released. Halloween may be one of the most controversial/debated topics in Christianity and we're here to say our part and try to help you navigate your way through this questionable holiday.
What is the origin of Halloween?
Is it a sin to celebrate?
Is it okay to dress up but not participate in other activities?
Should I take my kids trick or treating?
We talk all things spiritual & demonic and honestly have a lot of fun throughout this episode.
We hope this video helps and guides you towards light (towards Jesus).

I really hope one of you reads this comment. We don't need Halloween to be clearly written or described in the bible in order to know our participation in it is WRONG. I was never big on Halloween growing up but I also didn't take any stance against it either. I dressed up a 2-3 times as "simple" things like a butterfly, an angel, and cartoon character but after becoming a mom I began to think about Halloween the way Ari and Angela do (its ok as long as we don't dress up evil or bloody or surround ourselves with evil actions) but after researching the origins of halloween (as you guys just mentioned here), I realized that there's no way to truly know how much or little we can partake in-order to come into agreement with Satan and open ourselves up to his works. Satan works subtly, his manipulation isn't always obvious. He's lies and deceives and wants us to view halloween innocently so that we don't question participating in his evil works. We might tell ourselves Halloween is fun and ok to enjoy the candy and parties but what if the simple acceptance of candy or putting on a costume is all that's required to come into agreement with Satan. I could believe in God all I want but if I don't live like God exist then I'm not truly acknowledging God and it's very possible that any participation with Halloween opens us up to Satan taking charge over our souls. I don't have the answers but celebrating Halloween is not necessary and it should be easy to give it up because it's clearly not of God. We can dress up as fun things like Pumpkins any other day of the year, why does it have to be on Halloween?

I love this video. It brings up so many topics I've been thinking about. However, the topic about Halloween had me pondering all day. I was sort of thinking about in the way Angie acted in AHS. As followers and soldiers of Christ, I believe that we are called to bring light into places of dark. I don't think we should fear the demons that run amok, but remember that we have Christ and dominion over evil. So if my child wants to laugh and love on Halloween I'm not going to pull them indoors, but rather caution them to not get tempted by evil and bless the treats they consume in the name of the Lord. It's hard to find a balance, I know. I was someone who used to play around with tarot and it brought so much evil into my life (at the time I didn't know why), but it made me realize that I had spiritual gifts. Now that I have turned to Jesus, I have to learn how to use my gifts in a God honoring way. If you are struggling with this I encourage reading 1 Corinthians 12-14.
I'd also like to add that many Christian holidays were originally pagan. For example, Easter, it was a pagan holiday to celebrate fertility in hopes of a good harvest, hence the bunnies and eggs. Or Christmas, it was how pagans used to celebrate the winter solstice because their "sun god" was beating the darkness. That's why people would light trees to help beat the dark. Theeeeen, Christians breathed life and truth into to the celebrations and turned them into celebrations of Jesus and I don't think that's wrong. Halloween it sort of a time of testing... Are you going to fear and cower from evil? Or are you going to fear God and be in awe about how God triumphs evil?

Yes sister, celebrating Halloween gives the enemy a foothold into our lives. So many Christians are ignorant to what happens in the spirit. That’s why in the Bible it says my people perish for a lack of knowledge. Spiritual warfare is real and that’s why the word says we must take every thought captive to obey Christ! I l highly recommend listening to the Isaiah 61 conference by Glad Tidyings Church. It changed my walk as a Christian it’s soooo good and I learned so much.

When I was a kid I thought Halloween as a fun kids costume day to get candy. However, as I matured and researched I learn that Christians should not fully embrace the "holiday" because its roots are in darkness rather than holiness. So I haven't celebrated Halloween in my adulthood for many years.
I understand like dressing up as devil and such, I dressed up like a nerd for Halloween, it’s okay to wear goofy silly costumes not evil ones

It’s a pagan occult holiday. Many satanists sacrifice children on all hallows Eve too! We as Christian’s shouldn’t celebrate it, except maybe giving out candy/scripture to save.

I’ve never liked Halloween but have definitely participated in it. This year my husband and I feel a strong conviction to no longer participate in the holiday at any level. Our kids are small and it was very hard to decide to not let them dress up and go out to get candy. I was listening to another podcast and there’s many reasons why but what sealed the deal for us was hearing how satanic cults use fear in children as a part of their rituals and exposing your little kids to scary things is creating this trauma and fear that sticks with them. We try to protect them from it as much as possible but the truth is any event you go to or if you walk around ur neighborhood trick or treating you WILL see ppl dressed in scary demonic or evil costumes as well as scary decorations and I refuse to expose my 5 and 6 year old innocent babies to that. Why instill fear in their hearts?

Halloween is a high day of witchcraft. I love these gals but I wish they wouldn't call viewers " you guys". Everyone speaks this way. It's undignified, not cute & I'm a sister. Dude I promise you they will not be scared if you take them trick or treating, they will have fun. You don’t need to let fear stop your kids from doing normal childhood things

The Bible never says Christians ought to mindlessly side with Israel. Their loyalty to God and the truth is supposed to supersede loyalty to any country, even Israel. Christ and the apostles didn't even take sides with the Jewish nationalists that rebelled against the Romans.

Amen sister. I was there about a year ago. Definitely a tough decision, but when I threw it ALL out and called on the Lord I could tell how much more powerful it was compared to stones and crystals. He knew it was a tough transition and because of my loyalty of choosing him over all of it, he blessed me in many ways. He will do the same for you!
An important thing to remember is people will tell you how powerful it is to "manifest" what you want through the law of attraction, but the word and constant PRAYING will always triumph over that false teaching.
A lot of people won't understand you for your decision when you descend out of the Occult, but remember to remain strong and you WILL prevail. I will pray for you ❤

firstly just want to say i've been atheist my whole life and now at the age of 28, over the last 6 months you two beautiful souls have opened my eyes to God and Jesus and i see a new path for me full of light, love and gentleness, i've been walking this path for a few months now and since beginning baby steps with my new first time relationship with God, i feel so much more airy and weightless because there is a real supportive presence there in every waking moment of my life who i can cast my fears onto, who has a secure plan for me, who loves us flaws and all unconditionally, and i'm just coming to know so so many good things, wow. so thank you both, you are both vessels for Him, truly ❤️❤️❤️
on the topic of Halloween - yes! i am now so aware of the dark and evil in the world and i used to obssess over horror movies, i loved the thrill of them and being freaked out / scared and they always made me feel depressed afterwards, just draining really, but now i know that that is the enemy creeping in to make me feel dark and heavy, the devil wants us to feel those things, he wants us to want to feel scared and thrilled and desire and anxious and that just makes my skin crawl now, eek. i now have no interest in horror movies or watching / listening / or doing anything that makes me feel unsettled.
however i see nothing wrong in celebrating Autumn, God made the season's after all and it's beautiful i think to worship him and thank him for creating such gorgeous nature.🍁🍂 so i will be having a pumpkin spiced hot cocoa, watching The Chosen, Gilmore Girls and having an early night on October 31st for sure!!!

I was never brought up in a religious household and have been struggling with addiction since I was 13 or 14 years old and am 29 now, have overdosed many times and have lived with an evil narcissistic father for way too long to the point where I have been suicidal and absolutely miserable and after praying that beautifully intense prayer as you spoke it over everyone who watches this video I literally felt a huge overwhelming feeling of being cleansed from all of the tarot card readings I have been watching everyday and cleansed of my addictions and cleansed of anything evil and right after I watched the rest of your amazing extremely valuable video I clicked on your channel and clicked on your shorts and saw the one where you talk about the kids who have been hurt in church which was really good for me to see cause that has always kind of stopped me from getting close with God/Jesus and then right after that it went to the video of the guy talking about how he was in jail and wanted to die and I was like what that literally sounds like my life but trapped in my room miserable and knowing that everytime I get clean and healthy and happy it makes my dad miserable and makes him want to treat me bad enough so that I end up going back to using and wasting my life away and then the guy in the video he said that he heard Jesus tell him that he never left him, "Emerson, you ran , Emerson, you hid, but I never left you!" And I SWEAR IT WAS LITERALLY JESUS/GOD TALKING DIRECTLY TO ME!!! My family doesn't believe me and told me to stop watching this stuff but I know in my heart and in my soul that that was him talking to me and I just want to thank you both Ang and Ari SO MUCH FOR MAKING THAT POSSIBLE. They’re beautiful because they have the grace of God and love for God. You can see it in their heart.

I have been praying before bed with and feeling fear and didn’t know what it was. I’m starting to get dark visits in the middle of the night feeling pressure on my chest and mouth and when ever I say Jesus Christ it’s gone .
Your soul has to be so precious for the enemy to send his minions to scare attack/scare us. I think the enemy is mad I was doing Bible study at work . A lot of my coworkers would stop and ask what I’m doing and I would announce my faith and wanting to read all the books of the Bible. I also traded numbers with our female chaplain today for Bible study and to create a new friendship with a sister in Christ .
Thank you Jesus Christ for being my lord and savior .

I think it’s important to study the meanings behind any majorly celebrated holiday and why certain symbols are used. Even if the pumpkins and costumes are innocent, a carved pumpkin on a porch has a meaning and it’s not Godly. Just avoid the mess all together don’t walk a line. I think evangelizing on Halloween is a good idea, pray for people and hand out faith based goodie bags to families of you get trick or treaters! Be the light on a dark day.

Wow, simply amazing! For me, this has been the best one that I've listened to thus far. You took me from " ok, ok, let's hear what their take on it is....to whoosh, simply amazing!" The prayer(s), the topic, the Love and Wisdom of God from you two.... For me, I'm going to think of you two as A2 (A squared), because I now know God has exponentially Blessed you! Amazing episode! So glad you guys opened up about this. I personally don’t celebrate Halloween.. and people always think it’s a bit odd. But I am strong in my conviction and view it very similarly as Angela.
And just as you guys were saying, I don’t think dressing up is wrong, if you want to throw a costume party, do it any other day! But do NOT give any attention to the Halloween aspect of darkness and evil and also wishing people a “happy Halloween.”

The Bible says you love what God loves and hate what God hates. It says that you are either with God or against God. Celebrating Halloween is not an option for those who follow Christ and aim to live a righteous life. Some “Christians” don’t want to die to their flesh and want to be neutral Christians and who are willing to Compromise the truth of God.
There should be no partake whatsoever ever. Whether that be dressing up and taking pictures to going out without dressing up.
I have always wanted to hear advice about Halloween and that stuff because I’m a teen Cristian thank you sm for this advice !✝️💕

Your approach in talking about this topic is spot on! Halloween is such a pagan holiday! I absolutely hate Halloween! I used to like it as a kid mostly the candy, but if there is one holiday I could banish it would be Halloween. There is a spooky/weird feeling that comes from 'ol hallows eve'.

Christmas is also a pagan holiday. its called saturnalia, the master used to give presents to slaves on this holiday. It ended on december 25.

All holidays were initially pagan basically… because Christians/Catholics would literally murder people for practicing their beliefs and FORCED everyone to convert to Christian religions beliefs instead lol so they had to replace all the pagan holidays with Christian ones around the same times of year

Hi Ladies, huge fan of your podcast, always listening as soon as you put something new out and will continue as long as you are bringing people closer to Christ! I pray that you discern further calling for a ceasefire and opposing the bombardment of some innocent children and civilians in Gaza. As Christians we can absolutely not support Hamas and Iran, and we are called to stand for peace, love our enemies, not to kill mirroring them. Christians that support life should be calling for a ceasefire and diplomatic talks for peace. Your hearts are amazing I really resonate with the care you show everyone you encounter and hope you can open your mind to compassion for some of the lives lost in Gaza.
Forty years ago I read a Christian article about Halloween that asked when else do we ever have people coming to our house asking us to give them something? Ever since then I give out children’s Christian tracts that are fun to read and tell about salvation through Jesus! We also give some good candy so children are not disappointed and even happier about the message they receive 😍 So much better then a closed door! This is the one ministry I have had consistently all these years and I pray it makes a difference in someone's life ♥️

I think the point is that (the participation of Halloween, costumes etc) while you *can* dress up, it nevertheless *can* also provide a stronghold for the enemy (thru symbolism etc) which is how the enemy works (by diverting your attention to *little* symbolisms, small things etc). Which can later on morph to bigger things
