- I got to review a Hyundai Genesis Coupe today and it was an absolute blast. I wanted one when i was 16, but never got the chance to drive one. I can officially say that it lived up to my expectations!

Great review! I have a BK2 v6 and I love it. I'm curious ..how do you know BMW engineers worked on this car? Never heard anyone say that before
Hes actually wrong, hes thinking of the genesis brand (post 2015), not the hyundai genesis’
Might be a little late to answer but I know BMW had some influence on the Genesis Coupe as the BK1 3.8 comes with a 6HP19 transmission which is a BMW transmission. Besides that, I don't know what else they worked on.

Im bias towards the 2.0. Only cause i built mine. Fully built motor and built auto trans. Making a very conservative 400whp.
But i love the 3.8 sound!

And the BK2 Genesis traction control is God awful also. First thing I turn off in mine. It literally almost got me killed one time. I was pulling out in traffic, but I had enough room to get out if I got on it. Welp, when I went to get on it the car started to spin, and the traction control basically made the car stop!
Aw man yeah I have the same on my 3.8 bk1 and I always turn it off before I drive it should be off already then if u wanna use it then push the button never understood that

I’m thinking about turboing my 3.8 as well. Are you at 427whp on completely stock internals and engine block? I’ve read from the forums that the most these engines can hold reliably (as a daily driver and such) is right under 400whp?

One big question. Would you recommend getting a genesis coupe and especially the bk2 model?
I personally wouldn't get one since i like hot hatches, but if your into coupes, these are super cool. BK2 sounds like a good option

Also bk2 they incorporated direct injection to pump out 348hp and it sounds even better than the bk1

How many miles? I’m considering a bk1 with 97k miles or a bk2 with 120k miles I won’t drive it much but I’m curious how many is a lot to you

Ark Performance is a good place to start. Bolt in test pipes downpipes ect. Have them on my 10 3.8 and love them
