I love how Lincoln sat in the counter. I was never allowed to do that or really be involved in cooking until I was older. My dad did let me cook but as an only child my parents were over protective and very anxious and nervous around kids. I was so limited so seeing this melts my heart and how he will learn and the memories it creates is priceless and so irreplaceable. Also Aunt Linda, sleeping on the couch ♥️♥️♥️
Sitting on the counter, like that is very dangerous your parents were an overprotective. They were smart. Putting kids up high like that on slippery surfaces over hard surfaces is not the best parenting tactic. I hope to cook from when I was very very young but I was never allowed on counters or to sit on tables.

I know you get like a million comments, but I just want to say that I truly look up to you. I’m a younger mom (24) and watching you has taught me so many things when it comes to motherhood. You’ve taught me patience by seeing how you are with your kids and I am so grateful for that. One day I hope I can have the chance to meet you just for a conversation & hug. You inspire me to be the best mom I can be to my kids. ❤
Ignore the mean comments. Lincoln will always remember helping you prepare pies and that is priceless. I love how you have those kids on the counter helping just like your Mom and Ellie do. I also love watching you take beautiful pies out of your new oven. Your Mom is probably so proud.
They're not mean comments they make sense. Loving kids on counters is a very dangerous dangerous thing to do. Never did I allow my children to sit on counters or on tables especially over hard tile. And I'm sorry the child can have wonderful memories. I have wonderful memories of cooking with my mom and my grandmother, but I didn't have my feet all over the table. I wasn't picking my toes and I was taught to wash my hands and had to keep things sanitary and I still have all those lovely memories imagine that.
These responses... remember when you used to watch things with our mouths shut? The Lord said Be Still.....
@@RedneckJessi and why are people not allowed to give an opinion when you put something out there in the public. If everybody's saying something similar, maybe you should take it to heart and think about what they're saying.

Bonnie what a beautiful day. This was such a great experience for Lincoln. Thank you for being a mom that involves their children in cooking. I love that!! I loved watching him make his pile of dough at the end because he copied folding it over his hand. What an incredible mom. I love how he is up on the counter and learning and not just sitting in a chair. I did this with my kids and it was a lasting memory. Don’t mind the feet comments, it was your family and home. Plus everything was clean. Thank you for sharing ❤.

Watching you make pies with Lincoln was such a sweet moment. It brought back many great memories of my childhood with my grandma,mom and favorite aunt. Memories of times on my grandparents farm as a child where every Sunday dinner was like Thanksgiving. It also brought back memories of making pie with my daughter when she was a little girl.

I love seeing how all you girls love cooking and are homemakers, and does a great job at it, just like your mother. I made her homemade bread rollls for Thanksgiving and they were loved. Then yesterday, I made the cinnamon rolls from the same bread recipe, just as good! I always watch your mother when I'm making them. I believe I even learned a thing or two from your pie making. Thank you!

I wish I could have Bonnie as a real life best friend. This was my first Thanksgiving without my dad who passed in October and I was especially thankful for my husband and my kids! I can feel your heavy heart through the camera Bonnie but I can also see the love. Keep being you!

What a great way to bond with your kids. It is a great teaching moment. My daughter made an apple pie for Thanksgiving all by herself. I think he will do well and want to continue to do things with you.
That stove is gorgeous! And the dress or top you had on at the end - those sleeves! I so love that big, puffed sleeves seem to be "in" right now, and they always remind me of Anne of Green Gables!

Bonnie, I recently discovered silicone mats for rolling out dough. Try it. I think you'll love it. . ;) It contains the flour and the dough doesn't stick.
Her marble counter are made for this kind of thing.

Hi Bonnie, Just a suggestion - when putting your pies in the oven pull out the rack that you are going to put them on, then you are not reaching under the hot rack above. Just don't want to see you get burnt.

Your house gives a very calming aura especially the kitchen which is usually the place where it can get the most chaotic. I’m not a huge fan of being in the kitchen but just looking at this video and how beautiful your kitchen is really inspires me.
