    • MY NEW R35 GTR!!! -~-
    This past week I picked up this saab for the sole purpose to steal the wheels and tires off of it to put on my daily driver! I have always wanted this style of aero wheel for my car and finally stumbled across the right deal. I was originally gonna sell it as a mechanic special but after looking further into the "head gasket issue" i decided just to fix it as the problem was not as severe as the seller made it seem!

      MotionAutoTv So basically you bought a car that had supposedly "blown headgasket" but had Transmission fluid problem & radiator hose problem for $400. But you fixed for less then that.
      You basically bought a car worth $4000 for $400. A fully functional car. I wouldn't sell it if I were you. A second daily when the other SAAB has problems. Happy Thanksgiving

  • @menarenotwomen
    @menarenotwomen Před 7 lety

    Hey man, I daily a 9-3 aero, love the car, and you have a nice wagon! For perfect fitment on those wheels you want to run 15mm spacers in the front and either 20 or 25 in the back. Yeah having a wider track in the back on a FWD car will increase understeer, but that's not a noticeable issue if you aren't actually tracking the car hard. The 15 and 25 setup is perfect for the rims you have. And IMO you should put the car on Koni yellows with vogtland race springs. That's the suspension setup I run and love it. Mine lowered the car 35MM, but I wish I had gone with the 40MM springs though, for that little bit more drop haha. Just thought I'd give you my two cents man. Keep up the great videos!

    My family imported our first SAAB 900 in mid '85 from Sweden. That car still ran up until a couple of years ago ; but it was maintained pretty religiously. I started boosting Volvo's years ago (started with a turbo brick, 760) ; all these small liter turbo cars are much more enjoyable with a boost controller and fuel remap / ecu tuning. Just my 2 cents. My s60 has just intake, T5 turbo ; chip, and boost controller ; and that car pulls past stock American v8's without hesitation and really eats them up from 40mph-60mph . Sleeper daily drivers are the way 2 go

    I bought a 2002 Saab 95 for $400. It was smoking like crazy, guy thought it was the headgasket but it was actually a blown turbo. Replaced the turbo and had to clean out the intercooler and radiator of nasty old coolant and oil and it runs great. It was driven jn the city so it had some major scratches so I used some bondo and paint and it's good as new. I'm going to sell it, should be good profit.

    Easiest way to determine a blown head gasket (which I am sure this guy already knows, but for other people) is get the car to operating temperature, check the coolant reservoir carefully (not the radiator) and if the coolant is boiling instead of sitting fairly still, you have blown head gasket, also the coolant will get hot quickly and over heat
