- On 5 October 2012 The Great Hymns of our Faith Concert took place in Cape Town. This is one of the hymns that were featured, starring Loyiso Bala, Neville D and ivan Siegelaar.
What a wonderful hymn, turn your eyes upon jesus. Who else could u turn your eyes to look at only jesus, jesus is a wonderful saviour. These three men sing this piece so beautifully. I once heard a blind lady say that she has been blind from birth, in this life she will never see anyone's face. But when she gets to heaven the first face when she opens her eyes will be jesus. You know that melted my heart. In this life even as christians we take even been able to see for granted. There is a lady that I know that could never see in this scene of time but that did not stop her. As she says that jesus took her disability of being blind and made it his ability. See jesus even though this lady was blind took her all over the United kingdom and used her singing talent for his honour and glory. Jesus is everything and he is all that we need. Life changes and people come and go from are lifes and people let us down. But there is one who never let's us down, never changes, never leaves us nor forsake us. HE IS THE SAME YESTERDAY TODAY AND FOREVER. HIS LOVE IS BOUNDLESS AND IS AS VAST AS THE OCEAN. HIS NAME IS JESUS. Michael from n.ireland in the uk

First I was just enjoying the beautiful voices and music... then the meaning of the text got me.. and cried a river... Great and faithful is our God. So much nostalgic growing up in family and church... He is always there for me... no matter where I was or what I did.. God is so faithful to us. I will keep trusting Him even in the hard times now. why does your god let the atrocities of this world happen?
+Iris Kehler Because there is so much evil in this world . God is a God of LOVE but Satan comes to steal , kill and destroy . Jesus came into this worl to give life and life more abundantly . God gave man free will and man can choose to do evil or to do good . Correction : world ....
+Iris Kehler ... This is one of those questions that is not easy to answer, Thank you for it. Are you really interested in the answer or is just to stump Christians?
Here is my attempt to answer it.
1. People are running from God, ever since Adam and Eve turned their eyes towards themselves. We are not wise enough, powerful enough, discipline enough good enough to live in harmony and peace. So war rape, racism, etc, etc. happens. God is calling to come back, people are still lifting their fists in rebellion and hate towards God, just because they will not/can not submit to him.
2. The gospel is the good news that God has made a way for humans to come to Him through the sacrifice of the perfect man and perfect God Jesus. The cross was horrendous but that just tells of how horrendous our sins are for God. Jesus lived the perfect life, and died as the perfect sacrifice, He rose again taking His life back so He can give it to the ones He chooses.
3. What are you going to do with the evil that is in you? are concerned with the "atrocities" namely sins that you have done? (I am asking myself the same questions as I answer to you) We can not disregard God in this situation for... if there is evil there is God, because under the concept or religion of atheism there is no morals, so anyone could do what their hearts desire, right? So, if there is a moral compass is God who gave it, not man.
I hope everybody would seek God in Jesus, He said I am the Truth, the Way and the Life. He is enough to fix the problems of the world.
One day it will happen.

It Is "His Will" & "His Will Be Done" Whether it is a teaching tool or something we bring upon ourselves. We were all born in sin and sin we shall stay until we truly believe... Once we believe it still does not mean that trials may not come it is part of the great Divines Purpose for us to put on the "Whole Amour Of God" and if we don't test this Amour from time to time how will we know who to use it??? Think about it!?
Iris Kehler It is YOUR god (Satan) who warrants all the atrocities in this world. Look at what we did to God's dear Son. Look at how we've done this planet. God gave us clean water...we've polluted it. A rice paddie was uprooted to make way for a golf course, then we ask why does the Lord allow starving children? We have not even studied His word, handed down to us at a terrible price. "He has shown you, O man what is good, but do do justly, to love mercy, and humbly with your God" (Micah 6:8).
Man creates atrocities and turns from God. The blame is Man. Man sins, man hates, man wars, man steals, man kills, man is selfish, man abuses, man does the worst of all atrocities. Man has turned from God and by doing so, lives in pain, suffering, disease etc. The Bible explains everything, but you must read it to know what it says. People don't want to be told NO. People want whatever they can get, however they can get it. There is no heart in man, because there is no God in those that don't believe in Jesus Christ and why He came to this earth and paid for OUR sin by dying on the cross, when Jesus had done nothing wrong. Man fears the power of God, but man blames God? The blame lies solely on man, but it's much easier to blame someone else isn't it, like God. If one doesn't believe in God, then why are they blaming someone they don't believe in? Odd isn't it. To say why does "your God" allow atrocities.....is simply God giving MAN exactly what man wants..... no boundaries, no laws, no rules. If God was truly in their hearts, they would stop hating, stealing, killing, abusing. Now what if that was applied to everyone on earth, all accepting Jesus Christ.....atrocities would end. Hard to believe? It is written in the Bible, it would truly be heaven on earth.
