This felt like a sneaky way to teach the statement of cashflows without telling us you’re going to teach us the statement of cash flows! Very cool! Nicely done, I loved hearing it and thinking about how to reconcile cashflow to net income in a slightly different way.

Very well put together. I especially enjoyed the way you tied the balance sheet net income to the profit and loss report cash on hand. Helping customers understand these nuances is an art in itself because to the layman, the numbers may not make sense but that's what we got to school for in the end afterall, right? This was a good refresher as I get ready to onboard a young trucking company near the border with Mexico.

I used to do it in a complex way. But you made it easy for me. It makes sense!

The Cash Flow Statement report would also provide the same information i.e. changes in assets and liabilities. Very detailed explanations (your video) - makes it easier to understand the report by doing it manually in the spreadsheet.

Ratu Vosailagi i disagree... the statement of cash flows is confusing even to accounting students. When I use this method to explain cash flow; I get better results
However, once you understand the statement of cash flows. No need to do this any more

Hi Hecter, your videos are super helpful. I love them all. Our company faces the same situation. Not income is much higher than money in bank. We did lend some funds to others. Could this be the main reason cause? Thank you!
