- Hey everyone mel0n here! Welcome back to another episode of The mel0n Review! Today we're unboxing and checking out a mouse I've been very much looking forward to checking out! Today we'll be checking out the Endgame Gear OP1 8k! Now the OP1 8K caught my eye for a variety of reasons but the biggest one was the repairabiltiy and hot-swappability of the OP1 8K's parts! On top of that the OP1 8K is also packing some pretty considerable performance inside! So today we'll be unboxing and taking a peak at what the OP1 8K has to offer! Hell yeah, excited to see the full review. For the size of the op1 8k, the shape is still great even for medium to large hands. And the wire is really good, feels like if it was wireless. I don't why people kick the air crying on a wired gaming mouse.
unrelated: did you ever hear about sensor issues on the sora v2? my sora v2 recently started inverting itself after moving it around fast..
I haven't heard of any issues with the Sora v2, that's an odd issue though. Might be a defective sensor, have you tried factory resetting the unit?

@@Julian-xz6nu In the software there's an option to factory reset the unit, try that an see if that fixed it! If it keeps happening it's likely a hardware problem but let me know!

How did you place the dots? Never used dots. Thinking about jades.
Fewer dots = more speed, more dots = more control. I have two up front four in back, but will switch to three in back soon. Basically one dot in each "corner" then one on the bottom most point
Okay when did that dot hype start exactly? I swear customizability and uniqueness has been taken a new level compared to other ten years ago drastically.
@@VinnyUnion probably within the last year or so. Smaller skates seemed to follow the lower weight goal
i didnt get any of the things you got in the box, in fact im pretty sure they sent me an older model op1we wireless mouse in the op18k box.

amazon and it was the op18k version i bought, i even got the 8k box like i said. but they sent the wrong mouse in the box.

@@sam-gz1ql op1we comes with a wire for charging. But im sure it’s the op1we says on the bottom of the mouse. And I’ve been using it wirelessly. Going to have to return it
@@SunW4rri0r Someone probably bought the mouse and swapped it with another on so they could keep the 8K and get their money back. Easy to get away with since the mice are so similar.
Reach out to Amazon and let them know that someone swapped the mouse and they will refund or replace the unit with the proper one.

Got this mouse a few months ago and it’s been my go-to. It’s contending my best mouse and I switch between my best mouse (GPX) and the OP1 8K all day
I'm very much wired-pilled as I main a DAV3 8k but I love the feel of wired mice, so much so I prefer wired over most wireless mice nowadays.
Wireless is largely unnecessary when desktop gaming. Performance and shape are king in 2024
