    Parking for trades vans doing work in domestic and commercial is something which really needs addressing. A lot of property in difficult to park areas, especially City centres, are getting into a state of disrepair, as it's not practical or economical to take your van into these areas. Amazing someone has actually, and eloquently raised the subject 👍

      There are parts of the city centre I cannot get access to. Not helped by what I call militant cyclists who scream blue murder om SM if a business is getting a delivery and blocks the cycle lane. Even 1 idiot resident reporting delivery truck in the street he lives in . Like to see him having a washing machine delivered

    I remember in Northampton when they had the old traffic wardens under the police you were able to get a free waver to park on yellow lines as long as not causing an obstruction if you were working at a property.

    Strange that I looked for bidirectional RCDs in Poland and this topic doesn’t exist in the internet. There is no distinction at all and I didn’t find any article about using it with battery.

    Double yellows aint gonna happen. I live in Edinburgh where we have more double yellows more cycle lanes and less parking space.
    If on a double yellow or pavement its an instant £50 fine. Single yellow 10 minutes for unloading.
    Lot of contractors up refusing to do work in the city centre.
    Although if you are BG,Water board,or Scottish power parking on double yellow is ignored. Apparently they have bigger lawyers than the council

      Clearly not deep enough. Maybe something more detailed will be on the HSE website or that of the Court Service. But when elsewhere on CZcams we’ve got a so called ‘star electrician’ blatantly lying in their own video about cable bury depth then sadly anything is possible.

      1. Clear site
      2. Lay cable
      3. Lay turf,
      4. Bang fence post
      5. Call 999 electrocution docs

    Park on the double yellows maybe but definitely not on the pavement as your image shows. We've got enough broken pavements and obstructions on pavements without the addition of vans parked to make trades jobs easier.

    1:20 - by permanently energises, that actually only refers to 2.5s ( G98 10.1.3) when voltage drops below 184V, no?
    I still think the bigger is is 116A supply going through a 100A (100A + 16A) main switch or even lower rated RCDs.

    That picture is obstructing the footpath.... So 100% no, they can all ready get parking dispensation from any council but they are limited in numbers per area per day....

    So since there are only a set number of amendments allowed before a new edition is brought out is this going to be counted as one? Thus bringing forwards another new book due to something that has even known for years 🤬🤯

  • @calmeilles
    @calmeilles Před 24 dny

    I've got builders working on a property the other side of the service lane outside my flat. They park on the double yellows and throw a hissy fit every time an enforcement officer comes by. But the only way they can park is either blocking the lane or on the footpath making it impassable to pedestrians. This illustrates why I'd favour council administered waivers - already offered by my own council, Barking and to my certain knowledge Newham and hackney as well - that take account of local conditions but not a blanket easement. It should be easy to see how a blanket easement would be abused.

    That houses in Kent costing a bit more to cover the fine. What's the point of a company fine? The shareholders will never be worse off for them 🤷

    • @davideyres955
      @davideyres955 Před 25 dny

      Daft comment. It’s not the shareholders who make company policy. You need to make the execs face prison time. Even fines are nothing that bigger deal as they will demand they are paid extra to cover it just in case. But get a woffy CEO in a cell with Big Rodger and you’ll suddenly find them making damm sure these type of failings don’t happen if their butts are on the line (literally).

    • @kirkhamandy
      @kirkhamandy Před 25 dny

      @@davideyres955 Fuck me David, daft comment? My comment was aimed at the execs, as it's their responsibility to deliver value to the shareholders who will never lose a dime to fines. My point was that fines are useless, folk (the execs) need to face a criminal conviction because fines are *always* ultimately paid by the customers and never The Board, the execs or the shareholders. Fines are useless... a simple cost of business.

    Oh how i hate this as it draws so much aggression in folks, but double yellow lines are there for a reason . could be for visibility from a junction, the roads to narrow, what ever the reason it is for safety so sorry you all , park on them and get your just deserve, bonkers how health and safety can be modified to suit, On this if you can park on double yellows breaching road traffic acts hell why have safe isolation in fact why do we need to be registered, why do gas plumbers need registration , why bother with a driving license, the rules have to be followed.
