If I'm being honest after watching Chainsaw man it didn't really seem like that amazing 10/10 show it was hyped up to be. I mean don't get me wrong the animation was great, action was cool, the world is also cool but it didn't really make me feel all that invested. I only somewhat like characters. I feel like the characters just haven't grown on me yet. Perhaps my expectations were too high from all the hype around this show. Maybe that will change in season 2. But still overall enjoyable.

Honestly, it’s been driving me crazy about the hype around chainsaw man. First, chainsaw man has made strides in its animation style. I think the only thing that can come close to its animation is AoT, which is also animated by MAPPA. Aki is a W character. And part 2 is actually enjoyable cause it has had a fleshed put story line, however, the part 2 characters have no depth at all. And neither does the part 1 story line (besides aki). Part 1s storyline also has garbage pacing, like the fight between Denji and Santa Klaus. But the thing that makes me mad the most is that lots of people who have watched the anime talk about how good it is. That’s because MAPPA has made it good. The manga is garbage, and I don’t think people realize that because they haven’t read it. If people read through all 97 chapters in one sitting, first of all you have no life, and second of all, you would see the garbage pacing. I read part 1 in about 3 days and it made me realize how garbage the plot actually was. It tries to make you feel sadness towards the characters, yet I didn’t even feel sad when aki died or when power died. Then the makima plot line makes no sense. She’s died over 30 times, and then the one time when Denji kills her, plot armor kicks in and apparently she’s permanently dead cause of “specific wording of the contract” according to the author. That’s some bullshit writing. The plot progression actually makes me sad, because this show gets more hype than a show like one piece, which, Although is considerably long, as least has good pacing and plot devices.
1)Well the CGI is not the best in all anime, anyway it is undeniably super well integrated in the environment thanks to the very nice composition bc MAPPA was actually founded since the start to have CGI talents however ORANGE still tops them imo. 2) People will always find a way to criticize an anime whenever they don't like it or rather don't understand it, I've been there too. Makima.. They try SO HARD to make her look evil but the goal of the Gun devil is so boring(he killed millions hes bad we need to kill it).. I just cant get myself to Care.
Same thing with Aki.. Threw his backstory and attacks at us in the First few episodes.. Nothing to Care About there anymore untill they throw him at the Gun devil.
Power is like a sitcom character thats there to make Denji at least a little bit fun.. But does she have any goals? Why should I Care?
Then again the animation is beautifull(clunky af tho). The whole thing is gory and disturbing which I like alot.
I enjoy watching it but it wasnt really that good in comparison to other releases this season.
I really Hope I get to Care at least a little bit because the setting of the show is great. The author isnt afraid of anything which I like.. I just need the characters to click for me like they clicked for probably most of the People that are gonna hate on this comment.

Honesty I felt the same way about the show. I just didn't feel like the characters grew on me. Maybe that will change in season 2.

I too found chainsaw man to be like a trash shonen during the anime but the tragedy of each character especially aki and how denji feels about it is just way better executed than any other shonen series a person dies they just on like any death irl dosent need to have some sad send off lmao
Alot of people complain about the main characters motivation and Makima but to be honest she's really good at manipulation and purposely goes after naive people. Denji just wanted love and thought he finally got what he was dreaming of.

I just heard facts and more facts in this video, you got me with the title that's for sure. I find it incredible and surrealist that an anime the more popular it is the more hate it receives and the worst thing is that without arguments and the ones that exist are: bad animation ( is this a joke ?? It has one of the best animations out there ) and also bad story ( you are an idiot if you think that ).
The hate he gets from a bunch of idiots is nothing more than all the attention and fame he has received in these months
as a manga reader, the writing is a 6-7/10 so it's not a bad story per se but not great either. it is overhyped and overrated though tbh.
Bruh it is the most unique story line and told very well in just under 97 chapters, every chapters hooked me from 1-97 while its ongoin its amazing, no boring parts every pages slap and the ending is amazing considering most of the animes these days got trash endings (aot) so ye

Honestly, it’s been driving me crazy about the hype around chainsaw man. First, chainsaw man has made strides in its animation style. I think the only thing that can come close to its animation is AoT, which is also animated by MAPPA. Aki is a W character. And part 2 is actually enjoyable cause it has had a fleshed put story line, however, the part 2 characters have no depth at all. And neither does the part 1 story line (besides aki). Part 1s storyline also has garbage pacing, like the fight between Denji and Santa Klaus. But the thing that makes me mad the most is that lots of people who have watched the anime talk about how good it is. That’s because MAPPA has made it good. The manga is garbage, and I don’t think people realize that because they haven’t read it. If people read through all 97 chapters in one sitting, first of all you have no life, and second of all, you would see the garbage pacing. I read part 1 in about 3 days and it made me realize how garbage the plot actually was. It tries to make you feel sadness towards the characters, yet I didn’t even feel sad when aki died or when power died. Then the makima plot line makes no sense. She’s died over 30 times, and then the one time when Denji kills her, plot armor kicks in and apparently she’s permanently dead cause of “specific wording of the contract” according to the author. That’s some bullshit writing. The plot progression actually makes me sad, because this show gets more hype than a show like one piece, which, Although is considerably long, as least has good pacing and plot devices.

1)Well the CGI is not the best in all anime, anyway it is undeniably super well integrated in the environment thanks to the very nice composition bc MAPPA was actually founded since the start to have CGI talents however ORANGE still tops them imo.
2) People will always find a way to criticize an anime whenever they don't like it or rather don't understand it, I've been there too. I always denied Bleach since my childhood saying it's mid or overrated. But one day, through an existential crisis I decided to read the manga and OMG I was wrong.
Anyway, CSM is good and you're lying if there weren't a single scene when you said, hey that was cool.
