@3:00 how, how can a solo written by frusciante himself sound better in a cover? One of the most emotional covers of a solo I've ever seen, just so beautiful, and the touch you added at the end. Love it. I come back to this video like 10 times a year for the last 2 years. I want that tone. Is it only the DS-2? Is it through a program or amp? Please I must know.

I'm a huge fan of John, and RHCP myself! I gotta say I love the renditions you guys do of his songs, the vocal and guitar work are spot on. I love how you add in a few harmonies of your own too! I've been into Frusciante for a long time and being primarily a guitarist I've adapted his stylings to songs I write in tone, technique and style. I'm really getting good at mimicking his style on guitar, but the vocals are so hard for me! If you have any advice on how to sing his songs as beautifully as you guys do I'd love to hear it! I'd also love for you to hear my music, I'd love some input on it! If you're interested at all I'd love to hear your opinions! Great cover, thanks for the entertainment!

Excellent vocals from both of you and extremely accurate guitar playing. One thing I would say is that it would improve the performance just slightly for me to see the two of you really get into the song, you know, really strum the guitar instead of gently stroking it. I appreciate that's probably harder to do if your sitting in chairs inside and using playback, but hey, it only a minor niggle.
In the chorus, is that a Dsus4 with an F# (on the sixth string)? Or is it just Dsus4 muting the 5th and 6th strings?

We miss John playing for the chill's for sure, but he'll always be continuing to write music and develop himself as a musician, so as long as there's something to look forward to that's fine. Haven't met him unfortunately. Speaking of which we're looking forward to the new RHCP album, now that Josh has really had time to settle in it I think it's going to be an exciting time, he's a great guitarist himself.
