My grandma taught me as well! I would definitely need a bit of a refresher! Thank you so much for sharing!!!❤
Thank you Natalie. I was always embarrassed by my embroidery stitches and so did as little as possible. After getting this kit and following your instructions for just the first 4 stitches, I realized I’d never really be taught how to embroider before. I think I taught myself the running stitch and back stitch. There is hope for me , THANK YOU❤
There is always hope!! It makes us so happy to hear we helped you gain the confidence to try again! We wish you the best of luck and don't be afraid to ask questions. We will always be here to help!❤️
I love hand embroidery. I learned from my Grandmother and now that I'm a Great Grandmother, I have a new generation to teach. Thank you for the refresher.
This is wonderful. Warms my heart. Thanks Nat 💜
Gosh, Natalie! This made so much sense to me, and that’s amazing for an 80-year-old! Thanks a million!
Dagnabbit Natalie. You've made this too easy with your good tutorials. I didn't want another project but I love embroidery.
It's so nice to see that the younger generations and getting this!!!
Up close view is so wonderful!!!
Thank you! I struggled with this stitch last night, finally gave up. Tonight I started to skip to the next stitch, remembered you had videos. It clicked on your third stitch. I had fun finishing the line, varying size a bit, I love it. Thank You!
What a great resource for us beginners. My mom taught me the chain stitch when I was a kid, and stupid me thought that was all there was to it. Flash forward to a mature lady, I am relearning the art and all the fun stitches. 😊
I loved the refresher on embroidering. I was taught embroidery by my Aunt Chris, she loved doing all the hand stitching , I am so grateful that she was patient with me and passed this on to me. I am a lefty so learning how to embroidered plus l be lefty was challenging but we did it. ❤❤
I love this course. Reminds me of the pleasure of first sewing and embroidering simples designs when I was just single digits, over 50 years ago. Hugs, Chel 🌸
Thanks Natalie. This is one of the few stitches that I have experience with. I am glad that I know a few of them already.
Oh yes, will enjoy watching this new channel, I could use a reminder oh how these stitches are made!
This was a great help for my 9yp daughter! Thank you!
Nice to see hand embroidery brought back. Thank you. I wonder if talking about the thread, how many stands you use, needle size, etc would help those who have no knowledge of this craft.
I am doing Ingrid's Garden which you recently added to your shop. Your tutorials are helping although I did have to check out a couple of other French Knot ones to figure out what I'm doing wrong.
My MawMaw taught me how to make embroidery when I was very small it stuck with me my whole life! I am glad it’s becoming popular again bc for a while it’s been hard to find quality embroidery supply’s. If y’all start carrying thread DMC is the best in my opinion. Thanks for bring it back!
Oh no! I spin fiber into yarn, and I have this huge fiber stash. I knit, so I have a huge yarn stash. I do beaded and wire jewelry, so I have a huge bead and wire stash. It’s also MSQC’s fault that I started making quilts during the pandemic, so I have a huge fabric stash. Of course, I also have books and patterns and books and patterns. AND NOW I JUST BOUGHT THE EMBROIDERY KIT!!😱😱😱 Lovin’ it! 😄
Natalie thank you for this tutorial series! Just love it!
Wow Natalie, thank you for sharing your embroidery. I have been wanting to make a stitch book and your techniques will be very useful. You are so creative and I love your videos.
Thanks Natalie! Love your tutorial!❣️
I am so thrilled to learn this
I haven't embroidered in several decades, maybe it's time to start again. It'll help me to get away from the technology. Great video Natalie.
That’s sich a good idea to do handstitching! Today everyone uses the machine embroderie, which is too Perfect for my Taste
thank you!
I'm so excited to see these. Request...please sit and have the camera close up to your stitches.
Is this what you use to outline signatures? Or is there another option?
Natalie, I notice that you stitch from right to left. I want to go left to right. Is there a right or wrong direction to start?
Hello! I’m not Natalie, but my mom put thread and needle in my hands at about 6 years old. I’m not claiming experthood, however, I do believe you must go in the direction your mind dictates. Lefties will naturally go opposite of righties. If you work in comfort with your mind (right or left) your work will show it and frustration will be replaced with enjoyment. I can not imagine going opposite direction of my natural inclination and producing my best work. Happy stitching, and remember “every stitch makes you a stitch better”.😊
Natalie, Maybe you could number each of your episodes so we can be sure not to miss one?
