watching this after this western final defeat😭the height and defense are what we missing this year
Yeah. But even If we only had Dwight I firmly believe that we would have won that series. Dwight would tire Jokic up and he wouldn't have been as productive as he normally would. To have AD and Dwight as the two defenders to guard you is terrible odds for any all-time great player in the history of the NBA. Jokic only averaged 21.8 points 7.2 rebounds and 5.0 assists in 5 games versus the Lakers in the 2020 Western Conference Finals and the season after he won his first MVP.
@@andreasmakoben2455 dont forget McGee. Them 3 giants defending the paint will disrupt the Denver's offense
Kcp and Dwights connection on those lobs was just incredible
Dwight has brought so much energy to the Lakers this year and I LOVE it!
I bet LA would not have won the title a year ago without Howard! What he brought to the team doesn't show up in the box scores! He was the glue, cheerleader and his energy was contagious!
Dwight did what so many former stars fail to do. Realized he couldn't lead a team anymore but knew he still had plenty in the tank to be agreat role player.
His movement on rebounds insane. And all over of those years he still the strongest player in NBA
Man I miss Dwight on the lakers especially after that wcf
This is what 22-23 lakers needed to compete
Mind you… this version of Dwight is half the speed and half the strength of 2007-2017 Howard.
3:10 is what we missed last year. Fighting for that rebound....glad to have him back!
Something about watching dw play is soo satisfying😂🔥🐐
The way he dunks it, so effortless
How u not love this man
Lakrs let LeBron run point gaurd
His decision making is so great
thats is how they punished nba teams that year ,, 2020 lakers block party and transition play
This was truthfully LeBron's most complete team 1 through 15
Great.. Amin Nasirabad
Superman
Lakers needed now dwight howard to help davis in centers. Play offs is coming.
They go be tuff for a while
welcome back to LA superman
Back Dwight to Lakers 💪💪💪💪💪💪
Dwight Howard needs to consistently be on a roster where he’s accompanied by at least one elite NBA talent that possesses equal parts yearning to win & a youthful love of playing basketball.
It certainly seemed as if the business & media [scrutiny] aspects of The League, the timing of the ‘evolution’ of the game during his career prime that quickly began rendering big men(specifically those that can’t pose an outside(-ish) shooting threat) seemingly obsolete, & the few, unfortunate bad breaks of finding himself on lackluster squads &/or surrounded with halfhearted counterparts ripped the basketball soul from deep within his chest.
I can’t recall if he was one of the few who made the leap from high school to the NBA but, regardless, imagine being so young, & having put everything you have into attaining this one, titanic goal, just to finally arrive & discover it simply isn’t much fun. That’s a nightmare reality-even with the guaranteed money.
It’s on some fantasy sh t to contemplate current Dwight Howard, paired with Luka Doncic, a fired up/consistently solid presence at PF(a type such as Rasheed Wallace or Draymond Green)-honestly, just someone who brings the intensity/attitude/defensive mindset out on the floor, even if not a “star” or bringing anything close offensively-, a point guard that can simply protect the ball/not give up turnovers, & a tall, seemingly harmless presence off the bench that shoots 3’s efficiently enough when in the moment/hold is own on defense(like, a very LITE version of Peja Stojakovic running with White Chocolate/Vlade/etc. in those sick, classic King’s uni’s), competing together for a run at the Final’s.
Throw in a few veterans that are simply there for the love of the game, if not the possibility of some new, late-career jewelry, & a handful of hungry, underutilized, undeveloped players still only 1-3 years into their careers &, I sincerely feel, you have a team that would authentically be a threat to come for the trophy[*as well as a squad that doesn’t seem at all very far-fetched to find a way to acquire/construct*].
3:10 Enough said
Idk how anyone who knows basketball doesnt have him as a center on their team...
0:15 Drummond's footwork=useless
Kobe got him to the team and he would’ve proud of how he did
This 2020 rosters are better than 2023 rosters, i dont know why they trade all to get Westbrick??????????
It was because they didn’t wanna pay them. But I agree, dumbest decision by management.
Because Rob Pelinka was in IDIOT mode after 2021 Season and didnt watch the way the Lakers played defense on him dyring the 2020 playoffs.
There were mo and TT center players, but both were defective. I can't win with this
why pelinka didnt sign him last season is a mystery...
It was a planned move. Very smart on both ends. Lebron and ad faked an injury. Because of that dwight got paid and they got some crazy pieces
@@sharifnasser7635 lol
@@marksasunov4057 😂😂 I was sarcastic as hell that day
The Lakers will regret trading Kuzma
Screw Kyle Kuzma so STFU
Has Dwight redeemed himself?
yes
Absolutely. We don't win that chip in 2020 without him
Redeemed? Hell no. He had a good year though and glad to see his is mentally healthy.
Yes. Although his beast years from 2005-2011 no longer exist, his presence off the bench were a key to the Lakers Chip
桃園永豐雲豹🐆
他在NBA跟台籃打球的精彩度差太多😂 有好的隊友真的很重要
