Thanks. I like you webcam reviews! I recently returned Logitech Brio 500 as was way worse than my Logitech Streamcam. Looks like this new webcam might be good enough to upgrade my Streamcam and create 2 view set up. On for talking heads and one on the table. Just waiting until the price drops down from the introduction price which is always the highest. In UK it costs £219 now. I am willing to pay no more than £150 for a webcam.

maybe for streamers this is not the best cam for the price, but for IT guys working in dark rooms like trolls logitech produced excellent face quality just with light comming from monitors. This is the differentiating factor for me, and I tried elgato and other competitors and Brio 4k was on a different level, producing consistent quality in ligh and dark setups

I wonder what happened with the HDR off fuzziness though, watched another review from and the turn off the HDR and everything stays sharp, just the colors change. MiscastJoe review around 04:30.
It's hard to tell with that video for a couple reasons.
First is it's only been exported to 1440p rather than 4K and secondly most of the screen capture is through G Hub which is a smaller and lower resolution image than if it was recorded directly with OBS.
But yeah, I've been doing a lot of A/B testing and I'm pretty sure HDR on this works similar to how phones post-process images. Sharpness filter added, contrast adjustment, etc. in real time. Which is why his lights in the background were flickering so hard.

Hi! I have a question about the microphones in the MX Brio webcam. I am testing a webcam and noticed that when recording audio from a microphone, the sound of the right and left microphones is different. Are these stereo microphones or something else? Because the left one sounds bright, and the right one sounds very deep.
Great review! Do you know of a software app that would allow me to change the camera's field of view on my phone while sitting 6 feet away from my laptop? I currently have to stand up, walk to my laptop, change the field of view on the app on my laptop, and then sit back down again six feet away. Thank you!

Elgato Wave XLR. Software is a bit bloated, but I like it overall.

Excellent product considering that Razer Kiyo Pro Ultra is way too expensive. The quality of this MX Brio is excellent and I believe Logitech will probably release some fixes and firmware updates that will make it even better within time. Thank you for your excellent review my man.

@@tharumaravi Kiyo Pro Ultra. The image is sharper, and it has a larger sensor with a wider aperture lens. So there's less grain, and better bokeh. The only reason I'd get the OBSBOT Tiny 2 over it is if you specifically need the AI face tracking or PTZ.

I wish I had watched this before buying the MX Brio. Image quality is really good for what I need it for, work meetings and occasional family. But the adhesive backing really doesn't work, it immediately starts failing and you have to figure out ways to prop it up on your monitor that do not feel super stable. I've had it slip off the front of the monitor before during a zoom with friends which was no big deal, but I'd be pretty embarrassed if that were to happen when I was doing a training.
I'm kind of surprised the device didn't come with an alternate method of attachment - it seems like a regular clip would do the job much better and wouldn't add that much expense? I'm definitely considering returning it for this reason alone.
You really like that Razor Kiyo Pro Ultra. It (the Razor) has good optics, but its software is straight trash. This is why I prefer the Elgato Facecam and Facecam Pro these days. Elgato just updated the firmware and software to repair the one issue I had with the Facecam Pro, dedicated tint control. It fixed the greenish hue the camera gave off for people with darker skin tones I Never liked the Brio. Any version. The colors never seem right.
The fact that it removed biometric sign in makes it a no for me. I’ll keep my original 2017 BRIO, especially since I use a Rode Videomic Go II.
The difference is just NOT that much better to make the investment!
My issue with Razer is synapse is trash and I've had plenty of issues with Razer Web Cam and mice. The last Razer product I own is my PC case and my aio cooler

Razor's software is totally unacceptable. Returned two of them because it's flakey. So it's good to see Logitech catching up.
i still think the lumina camera looks better, the style is a clone .. but this camera is good.

But I am frustrated by boot up issues. I had my OBS, NVIDIA broadcast, and zoom lockup because the cam wasn't ready. I had to unplug and replug. My wife's a teacher. So it's vital it works flawlessly for her as she's non-techinical.
Also as you noted, blur factor on HDR. Even manual focus in HDR mode didn't help.
