Definitely gonna need to see that comparison video, because coming from the gen 3's to the gen 4's after 6 or 7 years of use, i gotta say i loved them and still love and use my gen 4's to this day. With that being said, this new headset does seem to have some convenient features, but also some that i would find to be a hassle with my setup. We shall see when you make the next vid!

Ive owned my A50s for over 2 years now and they have held up exceptionally well. The paint hasnt chipped anywhere near this pair and the headband hasnt broke either. In terms of sound quality it doesnt compare to the new A50x or Maxwells but its fairly close and way better than a lot of other comparable headsets. Considering I picked them up for $280 and they are going strong after 2 years I am fairly happy with them - I am seriously considering upgrading to the Maxwells but spending another $300 when my A50s work well might be what stops me.

So when i press the EQ button on my headset. & it switches the base station from 1-2-3. Is that switching through “My Custom Presets” on Dolby Access? Please help. XBOX Series S.

Does the astro a50 for xbox need optical port to sound bettee or is the usb just as good
i have a question, not related to this video.. but i am looking at getting a new headset, and im lost. i have a budget, audeze maxwell, too much.. and im plugging into a sound bar, and i dont know if i should go wired or wireless
still rocking the gen 3 a50, better build and preferred sound over the gen 4’s… optical from base station to tv gives me wireless sound on all xbox, ps, switch, and a cheap wireless bluetooth dongle into the base station aux port gives me simultaneous bluetooth on everything too, mic fully functional on xbox and ps. no need for the a50x, y’all, gen 3 or 4 still great! thanks badintent!
How is the mic fully functional on both Xbox and ps5? You’d need a specified base station for the console in order to use the microphone.
I just picked up Gen 3s for $30USD YES 30 to replace my Gen1s that finally bit the bucket after 10 years!

Which do you you say you'd prefer? Open box Turtle Beach Stealth Pro or these gen 4 A50? Both are $220. PC Only. Don't care about bluetooth features.
The only problem I’m having with my a50 gen4 the light on the base station is getting dim like the light are dying oh something 😢 other than that everything works great , btw my gen4 is 2 years only and yes I’m using my oled c1 tv digital output pass through bitstream, everything works perfect I can control my eq settings game/chat balance and the Dolby. and I can get audio for all my consoles just like the new gen X , only problem with other consoles I can’t do the chat but I don’t care about that I only chat on my ps5 main console
Ive used most of the brands apart from the latest models and i can generally say Sennheiser 560s are the best ive used for gaming (£170) no built in mic
can you pin point footstep easy?
I've always used Astro headsets since i can remember but yesterday my A50's suddenly stopped working. If i look in the command center it says that my headset has never been updated (even tho i did) and that the battery is at 0%. They won't pair w the dock, won't charge etc. Idk what to do now bc it's useless and i'm considering to step away from Astro/Logitech headsets bc i don't trust them anymore and i don't wanna risk spending another 300 on a pair of headsets that might not function anymore in a couple years.
Have you tried IEM'S??? You probably wouldn't even worry about another headset ever once you start gaming with the right IEM
So I just bought these and so far love them but when I put my ps5 in rest mode the base station no longer stays on to charge my headset, it only stays on when my ps5 is on, is there a solution to this aside from just plugging directly into the wall?
There is a setting to let the PS5 continue to send power to the USB ports while it's in rest mode. Lmk if that works for you.

I just purchased this headset today and I can’t get it to work on my ps5. I have the station plugged into my ps and everything seems to work as it should but I don’t get audio or mic function any help?
Make sure your base station is on ps mode and if that doesn’t work maybe try updating your software thru the command center
Which headset is more comfortable with glasses? The A50 gen4 or Audeze Maxwell?
A50 Gen 4. For max glasses comfort, I'd look into the Cloud III though.

Anyone has issues with the Gen 4 hissing noise from the left earcup? I got a new one and been having this issue

Is it possible for the headphones to work for both consoles?
The new ones will yes, but with the gen 4's you can have 2 charging docks and one headset and it pairs almost instantly with just setting it on whichever dock is connected to your desired console. Got two docks for my gen 4's and its super easy
I just got the a50 a they wont stop ring and I can hear myself way to much. An I got Xbox so I don’t have all these extra settings
I had Astro a50 gen4 for a year and a half, and once I saw your review on the Penrose no joke I felt that I got scammed when I was using Astro

A50 easily g pro got blue snowball mic which is a terrible mic
i was forced to buy this one since i can only use the open back headphone, and it's the only wireless one.
didn't find any other wireless / open back gaming headphone
Had one of these for like 2 months it fell completely apart headband piece kept popping out. The screws the held the speaker on kept backing themselves out then eventually stripping. They sent me a brand new pair and I didn’t even have to send the old ones back
Head band piece also pooping it just bought today
If I was yall I’d just return it, 300 dollars for a piece of plastic that falls apart, some bullshit, my left earcup would emit a high pitched noise from the mic I had em for 4 days and returned them

I promise you guys….. on my second pair charger problems top of the headset is taped up to keep together they do not last
Nah you want bass with footsteps especially with CoD. I have these and if you wanna hear every footstep get these. The bass makes it amazing

Hmm, I tested this and it did charge for me. But it might need to be clicked in perfectly.

The orange light comes on and all the info pops up on base station but I've left it there all night and it eventually turns off but never charges. I've had this issue since I got the ps5, the base station and headset worked perfectly fine on ps4. I have the hdmi adapter and my headset works but I've never been able to charge the headset since ps5 the base station just sits there so I can connect. I've been using a cord to charge my headset and that gets it fully charged, but I have to lay my headset somewhere so that sucks.
Anyone know what the button does on the back of the right ride ear cup?
One of them is an EQ toggle. The other is a virtual surround sound effect. It basically alters the frequency response to be more tinny and adds reverb in post.
