Horizon Forbidden West is a future action role-playing video game developed by Guerrilla Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It is set to be released on February 18, 2022 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. It is the sequel to 2017's Horizon Zero Dawn, set in a post-apocalyptic open world with a third-person perspective. The player controls the protagonist Aloy, a machine hunter, as he travels to western America ravaged by massive storms and deadly machines.

all the haters can't accept how well he is charming alloy. She wants someone who can fight, think's other humans are odd and hilarious, and only takes the mission seriously, everything else is random human noise to be worked around.
that is a very good reflection, I think it is important to highlight that Erend has been with her from the beginning and remained until "the end".. and he will surely support her always, that is what really counts!

@@rDracoMb You are aware that 1) bisexuality is a thing and 2) whether Aloy hooks up with Seyka or not is entirely optional, and even if a player does have them hook up - they still part ways by the end of the DLC; meaning there's no guarantee they're still an item by the time the third game comes around.
I missed that interaction. I think it's the first time I see Aloy laughing and smiling which really warms my heart. She had such a difficult childhood and making social interactions can be difficult for her. Like Elizabeth, she puts her mission before anything else and sometimes forget who she is doing it for. I don't really see Aloy in a romantic relationship with any of the characters tbh but I can see that she is definitely making progress in connecting with her friends. I don't think she even knows how to be in a romantic relationship which is fine xD. I'm so glad they added a bit of character development because they make her look like a cold blooded killer at times.

@@GameslordXY it depends which interaction you pick. You can be cold to avad while you can be compassionate. Even when Aloy is compassionate she still dismisses Avad. I think she blushed because she was a bit embrassed and didn't know what to do with that info which can easily be misinterpreted as interest. I think she appreciates Erend's company more than others because he's funny and he cares for her. I think Avad would be like WTH if he sees Beta 🤣 I want to see his reaction in horizon 3

She didn't really dismissed him with Heart and even Pragmatic options.
She just wants to focus on currently most important thing instead of thinking about loosing her virginity and stuff while climbing insane hights and/or fighting Thunderjaws and other monstrosities.
This part of the game really decompresses pressure. I love how easy it is to laugh…and just be…

I'll be happy with whatever guerilla does, but I personally hope they end up together. The first game was her learning how to be around people at all, and the second game she becomes close to them and begins to trust and rely on them. She learns that Elizabet didn't do it alone, she had Tilda for a time, and even in these dire circumstances Varl and Zo fall in love and Zo is pregnant. Aloy is surrounded by signs that she is ALLOWED to have more while carrying the burden of realizing Gaia's repairs, not despite it. Erend is her longest friend by the end of Forbidden West and she's grown obviously comfortable with him.
Again, I'm personally a sap so I truly hope to see a romance between them (or options for romance) but if Guerilla keeps it off the table I respect that. Counting down the days to Burning Shores

Definitely. Not against if Aloy likes Seyka, but there is more story with Erend and others. Heck even Kotallo is more cooler than Seyka. The game made us think that Seyka is similar to Aloy, but if I want someone who just follows, then Alva is better.

Ain't nothing wrong with Aloy turning out to be bi (because to say she's a lesbian based on the DLC is to ignore all the moments where she's flirting with guys and being receptive to their attention in the previous games); however, slow burn romances are so much better than instantaneous 'love at first sight' crap (the DLC 100% reads/plays out like lazily written fanfic that is strongly inspired by the final act of Forbidden West. Seyka even fits the bill for a stereotypical self insert Mary Sue (more beautiful than any other female in the franchise, is just like Aloy in battle prowess, Aloy - being the main character and who has stated numerous times she doesn't have time to have a relationship with anyone because she can only focus on her mission - falls for her almost instantly and wants a future with her, etc).
Nil and Erend. Nil makes me curious and Erend makes Aloy feel normal or comfortable.

Erend is cool but Nil is clearly not right in the head and murders just for the thrill but hey women love the crazy ones
@@jman140692 yeah I don't think women's or men's real-world choices are accurately reflected by a videogame cut-scene...since games aren't real life. But, either way, I'd say thats more for a r/niceguys discussion than a comment about a video showing a cute in-game cut-scene. Also Aloy doesn't mind killing bandits either, so if you must put it that way... they're both "crazy" for wanting to bring justice (and a bit of death) to the bandits.
Then again, Nil's dialogue and responses to Aloy's questions sometimes makes me think he's some 'kinda war spirit or something. He mentions being around as long as there's been war and before kingdoms. Could also be possible that he was one of the Faro people that extended their lives and hid out during the fallout within the ruins of the old -ones. Just a guess as i have no idea since i only meet him once so far lol. I been doing sidequests. Poor Erend still waiting for me to join him at Red Ridge Pass. xD

I'm pretty sure there will be a romance between them, unless Guerrilla is going to let the players choose. There's something going on between them. We know Erend is a simp for Aloy and that's no mystery, but are we going to ignore how much she smiles around him (just look at her when she sees him at the beginning of FW) or all those looks she gave him when 1) he went to Las Vegas at the end 2) he went to place that thing to mislead the Zeniths (when Varl gets killed)? Idk, I don't see it as a coincidence or as a brother-sister relationship 👀 they have the best interactions.
Yes, there’s something going on between them, that’s for sure, We will see what Guerrilla have prepared for Us on Horizon 3.! I really loved this game, one of the best I ever played, Maybe we will have some spice like on Witcher 3 LOL 😂

I hope every devs need to learn from what Dragon Age Inquisition did. You are not only visit them, but also can take them go with you when exploring and make quests even after endgame.

yeah, also in Dragon Age Inquisition, your gang stay at your base too. And the person you choose to have a relationship with can still have the option to kiss them again and again.
And it got decent dlc stories to explore and expand more into its worlds. So i hope GG did learn something there if... They want ofc.
Honestly, half of guerrilla was focused on pushing their environmental message, the other half was focused on what REALLY mattered to fans...
Escalating the shipping war. More hot men. More moments. More almost-romantic conversations that we can't actually take anywhere just because they like driving us crazy.

I'm honestly not all that impressed by Seyka as a love interest. Seems really cheap to me when a game introduces a character JUST to be a romantic partner for an established character, particularly when the new character's presentation and background are deliberately presented as tailor-made to sell the plausibility of the relationship.
Characters whose relationships evolve together and intertwine feel so much more natural. Even Alva would've felt like a better fit on that basis than Seyka because she has had some HUGE growth in the short span of Forbidden West that we work with her.

i hope they'll let us choose in Horizon 3 as I don't really want them to end up together. I think Aloy reminds Erend a bit too much of Ersa like Avad, which works really well for a brother sister relationship but not a romantic one. But this was one of my favorite interactions with himbo Erend in game. LOL I really cannot wait to see if they let him end up with someone who will it be that isn't aloy. Varl and Zo was such a wonderful, cute surprise and I want them to do that again with Erend.

@@nextbigthingthebeastincarn7216 No, i also think Varl's death was cheap considering Aloy only didn't die to the blood obsessed gorilla cause of plot armor. I think that is was a poor choice and left out a potentially interesting arc (Varl being a father and seeing Sona's reaction). There are a lot of issues with the Zenith's and that was one of them.
If my assumption is right, most of the cast is 5+ years older than Aloy with erend possibly being closer to his 30s. I do think Erend is interested in Aloy but I also think he's chasing after Ersa. He was a child soldier in the red raids, youngest he was was maybe 10 or 12, but its also possible he was older since he was a soldier in the vanguard. His sister raised him since their father was a useless abusive drunk and Erend has difficult facing his feelings as a result. Its why he snapped at Aloy over the fact she left and was drinking his sorrows away since he couldn't go with her as a result of getting his butt beat, Rather than being on the more understanding side like varl. Erend tries to soothe his feeling of uselessness and failing Ersa by trying to be helpful to Aloy. Not a good basis for a relationship.
Erend should be allowed to be a separate person and have a girl (or boy) separate from the protagonist he can develop a relationship with, without dying. If the stipulation is that he's expendable cause he isn't with Aloy, that's bad writing and makes varl's death even more pointless.

I really wish the story in this game was handled a bit better. I wouldve much preferred regalla being the main villian and maybe a horus activated by HAPHEASTUS as the final boss, and just show the zeniths, but let them be in horizon 3, so we dont get as far as all that nemesis exaggerated shit. I also wish the mission from the state of play was included in the game. A quest were we fight rebels in san fransisco with Erend in search of something important? Why would you delete a quest so cool as that. It would only make the bond between these two stronger. Oh well, still enjoyed the game.

Yeah that would have worked much better and the next game would be more interesting.
My biggest issue was with the ending - with Nemesis being a literal last second surprise, and no mention of Zenith's copy of apollo, it really felt like they ran out of time to make an ending, and just had aloy give that closing narration.
Literally, Aloy finding a functioning copy of apollo should have her almost bawling tears of joy.

It’s from the gameplay trailer for the game launch. It’s not actually in the game. You can visit the place that it’s at but Erend won’t be there. It took me A lot time to figure that out.

I could have seen that working if Aloy hadn't been so hesitant about it. He was clearly interested, and she was clearly at least a little hurt when she realized that the ship had sailed.
Since the first game I always got the vibe that Aloy's preferences are women instead of men. In HFW, I got a bit of a confirmation of that when we find out that Sobeck used to have a romantic relationship with Tilda. And let's not forget that Aloy is a clone of Elisabet. Just my thoughts...
Aloy is not Elisabeth or Beta the game specifies that the three of them are totally different person.

beyond her sexual preference, it's an excellent game, with unprecedented graphics, a story about the awareness that all human beings should have today if we don't want our future to be something like that... I'm not saying dominated by machines, but with a destroyed and contaminated ecosystem.!
