What a Smooth interview!
Ma boi!
Hey carlos......keep CHILLIn'.....
SMOOOOTHH OPERATOORRRR
Vamos!
How does this comment not have more likes??????!!!!!!??? It's the SMOOOOOTH OPERATOOOOOOOOR
The way he talks about McLaren. It’s impossible to dislike him
I can't even like this comment cause there is 69 likes and I don't want to ruin it
yeathebois YT u will by not liking it
@@SeshvirSeodutt All these like chasers are so stupid and sad...
Man how classy does McLaren management sound in all this? I’m floored by the culture there. So open, reasonable, human, understanding, professional.
Especially compared to the Ron Dennis days
@@711leon even just compared to a few years ago in the fernando days, the changes zac brown has made with bringing in Seidl and restructuring everything has brought them a long way forward
McLaren has changed from a down-to-earth all-about-business team into a fun-loving team with a more positive outlook. Sure, they still take their job seriously when they need to, but it's a nice addition when a team has fun and give immense emotional support to their drivers.
I was thinking by giving off a positive culture esp. when you’re leaving you would like to think of coming back when the time is good. Esp. if you’re going to Ferrari w/c is one of the most toxic teams.
So great to see this in Formula 1....especially when you see Renault, Haas etc...
McLaren felt more like a lot of mates gone racing, rather than a serious team, and it worked out perfect for them!
A team can also act like the most serious crew out there, yet not have cohesion and run like sh!#. This McLaren crew works as a team having excellent cohesion... and it shows in their performance as of late. If Sainz can somehow unite the red over there in a similar fashion regardless of whether he is in front of Leclerc or not, there will also be similar results. Or at least they will be observably heading in that direction. Not sure how fast Sainz can pull the tide so to speak.
The one interview we all wanted. Carlos must feel the pressure now.
In the pass, he had to deal with that kind of pressure...maybe worth with Mister Marko.
I would think he was feeling more pressure at the beginning of last year. He was almost out for a year, and HAD to prove himself in order to keep a seat open for himself.
not really, he's expected by most people to be number 2 in Ferrari to Leclerc in terms of speed, so all the pressure is on Leclerc
No real racer sees a seat at ferrari as pressure if he's sure of himself
Some people perform best under pressure... soon p20 to p2
I had been a fan of Carlos. From this transfer I have also become a fan of Zak Brown and Mclaren the team. Very professional and more importantly such humane and understanding behaviour. Unlike Squirrel Irritable.
Yeah, totally agree.
It’s funny because it’s the same team that got fined $100 million for spying on other teams.
For some who might not get the joke. It's Cyril Abiteboul , Renault cheif and a douche
@@fl3669 yeah it's "funny". It was 13 years ago and different leadership if that matters to you, doubt it will because you just ignore everything else about the team lol
F L funny because Renault is the same team that got banned from racing because they purposely crashed out a driver to let Alonso win ;)
He has had more coverage in one week than in 5 years
That's what happens when Ferrari signs you!
@@willywillywillywillywilly*Ferrari sainz you
it is what it is.
Haha well said
He's seriously a smooth operator in and out of the car. He's extremely well media trained and very natural.
I wonder how smooth he is with women
What a great lad! So genuine! Sad to see him leave Mc Laren but he deserves to wear Red. Hope he and Charles get along well and that Ferrari's bureaucracy doesn't ruin his spirit.
My feelings exactly
Luke Brincat of course not...remember he is the smooooth operator
"Gut gebrüllt Löwe" !
I see a new Massa.
I think Carlos is one of the person who got the more lucky team changes
Losing his seat at Renault to get one at McLaren, the than worse of the two teams, just getting better at the season of his change and now the change to Ferrari. Amazing!
Lets hope Ferrari will improve with him
I just don't think it's luck though. He's worked hard and taken the opportunities that have come along the way. He has the attitude to allow these doors to open for him.
Opposite to Alonso!
@@pms3068 I don't understand why people cant fucking get over Alonso already. He's good, but gotta let go
@@peekabooicancu it is luck. It does not take to just be a good driver, to end up at one of the best cars.
I mean, look at alonso's path after 2007. He returned to renault only to be received with a terrible car, so he went to ferrari. Ferrari then happened to have a not-so-great car, and even then, alonso made miracles with that car. He left ferrari for Mclaren, and we all know how that went.
Sergio Perez is another example. He did well in sauber in his first years, and made the move for Mclaren (similar to alonso's ferrari) only to end up at a not-so-great car (of course, as SP is not an Alonso, he did not make any miracles).
Sainz is a great driver, but he has had excellent luck also.
Zak Brown really feels like a leader everyone should have.
seems like a good dude
Very smart business man... people & drivers will see how they have reacted to this and see a person who is willing to give people a chance and keeps his word... just look at how Renault reacted to Riccardo leaving. Wouldn’t want to be around that!!!
Because he doesn’t have spine.
MM93GAMING sjonxu📻💿📲
Carlos went from SMOOOTH OPERATOOOOOR to GRAZZZZZZZZIIIIIEEEEEE RAGAZZZI, real quick :)
Muhammad Aqeel Abdulla HAHAHAHAHA
grazie operator or smooth ragazzi?
Imagine Vettel's engineer start singing Smooth Operator along with Carlos Sainz
@@PiMoNFeeD no if you are in Ferrari you meant to say Grazzi Ragazzi thats like the minimum requirement to become Ferrari Driver
_"Operatore liscia"_ is the phrase to learn for next year
I loved Carlos before. But I respect him a phenomenal amount after hearing how much he communicated and respected the team
Carlos is a gentleman and hard worker (in this, he remembers me the best of the bests, Schumi). He deserves it. I can't wait to see my two favourite drivers driving in my favourite Scuderia. Go for it, "double C"! (Charles and Carlos, banana and chilli). It will be nice to see my flag and hymn (Spain) at the top of the podium as well.
I hope that Carlos can get a world championship he really deserves it
He's good, what has he done to 'deserve' a wdc?
Sohan Chopdekar have you seen how this carlos drives? He’s a fantastic driver
Winning before Max would be awesome! What a turn of events haha
I have great hopes, but I fear he is gonna be an other bottas in mercedes, perez in mclaren, gasly in redbull, fisichella renault, so on. Ferrari doing it on purpose. This i what they want.
Weeb yeah I do fear that as well, I just hope he can prove that he is good enough too drive to win now that he’s in a car capable of winning a Grand Prix
Ferraris team be like:
Banana Leclerc and Carlos Heinz
Sharl "I am stupid." Legrerg & Carlos "Holy shit, gringos. I'm on televisión!" Sainz
Hairloss sainz*
Carlos "elhombredelquenadaseesperaynadahace" saez vs Legay
Stop
Carlos science will improve the ferrari car aero
7:40 'and even if next year, when I'm with Ferrari, trust me, nothing would make me happier than seeing McLaren back at the front.'
Grade A gent.
Trust me, as a McLaren fan, nothing would make me happier than seeing Carlos do well next year.
I can see Carlos having a good season, and leaving McLaren having played a much bigger part in its story than his two years would suggest. All because everyone approached this like adults.
One of the most genuine drivers on the grid. I really appreciate Sainz. I hope he's not in for sour surprises at Ferrari, hate to think he left a team which had fairly transparent dynamics to one which is most often run (and ruined) by internal politics.
Yeah, Carlos is one of those drivers who needs transparency. He doesn't just like to get along with his team, he creates bonds
Honestly, everything is falling into place for him. From losing his Renault seat and moving to Mclaren where he’s really improved to now moving to Ferrari🙌🏾
Carlos is such a great professional! The way he talks is so mature. I wish him all the best!
carlos deserves all the good things that come his way. great sportsman and already an exceptional driver
*Just realized that "Charles" and "Carlos" are the same name but in differents laguages..*
Well done Ferrari
They re all "Carlo" s now :D
Charlos...erm... I meant Carles
Same for Daniel and Daniil in Red Bull in 2015 (and beginning of 2016...).
It’s like when the Ducati MotoGp team had two riders named Andrea.
The Monte-Carlo team
Content like this make you apreciate even more will's passion on his job.
Ferrari better not screw this guy over. Carlos mentioned clarity and openness - thats not how Ferrari operates. I really hope Carlos shows Ferrari that he isnt just a no.2.
Oh please ...if he was at Red Bull and kept getting his 6th 7th 8th places he wouldve been cut.........he is most definitely a No 2 at ferrari ....Leclerc is far beyond him at the same point in his own career
@@Skippy-id9yt this aged well
Carlos is so pure. I will always support him.
Great questions by the interviewer. Carlos is a class act and props to McLaren for allowing a smooth transition. Very happy for the guy! Curious to see the dynamic between him & Leclerc.
Zak is fantastic in that regard, very genuine and easy-going. I have high hopes for McLaren's future.
@@Svartasvanen18 yeah I have no doubt that Zak wants Carlos to find the most success possible. He's still good friends with Alonso apparently
Carlos is very precise and calculated person. Charles will feel the heat.
from being expected nothing (toro rosso) to being expected to be in the points (renault) to being expected to be best of the rest (mclaren) to being expected to be on podium (ferrari)
Now interview Vettel
Yes 🥺😭😭😭
Yes please,
If that happens I gonna eat my beard. Oh wait....
Saw this on the f1 app! I just love Carlos. Such a sportsman, very kind hearted. Makes me really sad about the driver market and how drivers like him (not necessarily at this moment) are affected by the politics of the sport.
Carlos and McLaren have the most respectful and open relationship in motor sport.
Can we all take a moment and appreciate how awesome Will is at the moment with everything he's been doing, like these interviews? So awesome!
Sainz is a such a class act.
His reply to being asked what type of driver Ferrari are getting is excellent. Not just professional, authentic. Impressive. A pioneer of positive energy and relationships in a very cutthroat industry. ;)
This Sainz guy looks like Smooth Operator.
Carlos is such a genuine guy, loved the interview Will
Carlos would likely have been very successful in any area with this work ethic, attitude towards collaboration and teamwork, leadership etc. He is just a solid person with A LOT of positive attributes. F1 is lucky to have him. This was a great interview.
I hope he and Charles will be fighting eachother, without a clear 1st and 2nd driver split.
Lmao No
That's how last year fell apart tho.
@@lol__VEVO without repeating Brasil 2019 ofcourse😂. Just a clean racing rivalry
Bottas 2.0 im afraid
I hope for a Mercedes like relationship at least for the first year, fights are allowed but one of them still has to follow orders to benefit the team, it worked pretty well for the past 3 years in Mercedes
Sainz is such a sweet character!
what a guy!
He seems like a new Barrichello to me in that sense
Ok so it's impossible not to love the smooth operator Carlos x
I've grown to like sainz more and more in the last couple years. A real stand up guy.
Is it my perception or has Carlos grown a lot in these past couple of seasons mentally too? I really like how he talks about Mclaren and the whole thing. May sound like "diplomacy", but he sounds really genuine. From a Ferrari fan: welcome to the team, looking forward to seeing such a great drivers combination for 2021!
Carlos is a true gentleman and a pleasure to listen to him. Outstanding! Congratulations.
Smooth Operator! 🤙
Smooth operatiooonnn!! 😂😂👍
Operatore Regolare
Damn Carlos's gonna be wearin red next year, all the best
Congratulations and well deserved. Complete respect for Carlos as a driver.
Carlos, you've used all your screen time for this year
Carlos, you will NOT have the screen time!
One of the genuinely wonderful people in F1. Carlos is so obviously lovely and although I'll miss seeing the harmony of the McLaren team, he fully deserves a top seat. I hope Ferrari can give him a good car and I hope he doesn't get relegated to being a number 2 driver. Vamos Carlos!
im so happy for carlos to get this opportunity, he is such a good guy and i think a very big talent, and always enjoy watching him race, and now we will actually see more of him on tv ( they basically never showed him)
Carlos sir -- you are so humble and down to earth. All the answers are so honest. Best wishes!
Very much like his father. Also not very preoccupied with social media. Very articulate and focused.
Carlos has a great temperament! Good luck at McLaren for this year and at Ferrari for the future!!
A just reward for Carlos. I am sad he is leaving "my" team but very happy for him that he has got the recognition he deserves.
God, I love Will and Carlos here. What a great interview.
So humble and grateful. He is a unique person. So happy for this successes.
Good luck Carlos! Will be cheering for you mate.
Carlos, you are such an example of working hard always pays you back. What an example of humbleness and passion for racing. I wish all the best this year with your current team, (I'm McLaren fan since 1979) and looking forward to seeing you fighting for a championship in red. All the best for you.
I want leclerc v sainz to be like hamilton v rosberg rather than hamilton v bottas
That would be exciting, but Ferrari wouldn't let that happen.
but only in terms of on-track performance, not off-track relationship
Finally a Ferrari driver that I can get behind and support!
Now let’s get an interview with Ricciardo I’m curious to see his story about how everything happened with Renault. I imagine it was the opposite of this. Proper job McLaren. Good luck to Carlos!
I'm so happy for him🥺
An excellent interview on both sides. 2020 to 2022 will be very interesting
What a great guy!
Carlos has become my favourite driver in F1, as he's proven very adept at swimming with the sharks.
I've not wholeheartedly cheered for a Ferrari driver since Gilles Villeneuve, and cannot wait for 2021.
What a sweet and beautiful man! Happy for Carlos!
A great interview Will, thank you and well done. You seemed to get the best out of Carlos. I enjoyed listening to him. Would be great if you could get a slot with Danny and ask some similar questions. Thanks again.
I love Carlos, I feel like he's very underrated
What a wholesome guy...
Excellent interview grazie ciao
Wishing all the best to my favorite drivers Daniel, Carlos and Charles
Really cool guy, it's nice to see his emotions about F1.
Will miss him @McLaren!!! Such a light
He's such a nice guy, how could you not be happy for him :)
Excellent interview well played and driven
He's such a genuine guy
My respect for Carlos rose exponentialy.
That's mathematically improbable
I wish for the best of him in Ferrari next year and hopefully will be able to return to McLaren at some point. For me. I would prefer him rather than avocado. Well, time will tell. Fingers crossed 🤞
Carlos might be the only guy that can make me like Ferrari for once.
What a nice guy and what a driver!!! As a Ferrari fan, i cannot wait to see him in the Red Car...oh and, i miss F1 too😔
Man I’m going to miss Lando and Carlos
Will you’re a legend. And Carlos, you’re on the way to become a BIG one!
Smooth interview
A great man... I love his personality.
Carlos....class guy. Great interview and good luck to you Carlos
what a great interview
What an incredibly likable guy
Edit: Both of them actually - even though i meant Carlos
He’s such a humble chap! Quite mature.
Welcome to the Scuderia Carlos
He's the nicest, pure gold
What a genuine, likable guy. Hoping he does well at Ferrari and takes the fight to Charles.
great interview!
Carlos is such a genuine and sweet guy
It's about time Carlos got his big chance. I think Ferrari has got a great set of drivers now. Its gonna be great to watch them go up against each other.
I'm saying this for you to look back at in the future.
"Carlos gonna give Ferrari second thoughts on whom are they gonna make as their first driver. I'm not saying Charles gonna be demolished by him but Carlos' future performance will cause some stir in Ferrari's mind."
we all wil be surprised. just wait.... he has epic genetics, check his dad, can do much better (and he did great actually)
He is currently beating Charles in the championship by several points with 7 races to go.
Carlos is a class act all the best to you buddy
Im glad he will finally get the screentime he deserves
I am really happy for Carlos!
He proved a lot when he from P20 to P4 last year
What a pleasant humble hard working guy! I’ve never cheered for a Ferrari in my life, but with him, I will actually be happy when he wins his first race.
He is such a wonderful guy.
Grande Carlos, eres un grande, te meelo mejor crack
