      McLaren has changed from a down-to-earth all-about-business team into a fun-loving team with a more positive outlook. Sure, they still take their job seriously when they need to, but it's a nice addition when a team has fun and give immense emotional support to their drivers.

      @chrishammer5925 Před 4 lety +2

      A team can also act like the most serious crew out there, yet not have cohesion and run like sh!#. This McLaren crew works as a team having excellent cohesion... and it shows in their performance as of late. If Sainz can somehow unite the red over there in a similar fashion regardless of whether he is in front of Leclerc or not, there will also be similar results. Or at least they will be observably heading in that direction. Not sure how fast Sainz can pull the tide so to speak.

      @@peekabooicancu it is luck. It does not take to just be a good driver, to end up at one of the best cars.
      I mean, look at alonso's path after 2007. He returned to renault only to be received with a terrible car, so he went to ferrari. Ferrari then happened to have a not-so-great car, and even then, alonso made miracles with that car. He left ferrari for Mclaren, and we all know how that went.
      Sergio Perez is another example. He did well in sauber in his first years, and made the move for Mclaren (similar to alonso's ferrari) only to end up at a not-so-great car (of course, as SP is not an Alonso, he did not make any miracles).
      Sainz is a great driver, but he has had excellent luck also.

    What a great guy!
    Carlos has become my favourite driver in F1, as he's proven very adept at swimming with the sharks.
    I've not wholeheartedly cheered for a Ferrari driver since Gilles Villeneuve, and cannot wait for 2021.

    I'm saying this for you to look back at in the future.
    "Carlos gonna give Ferrari second thoughts on whom are they gonna make as their first driver. I'm not saying Charles gonna be demolished by him but Carlos' future performance will cause some stir in Ferrari's mind."
