I’m on my third dose of skyrizi after taking the first three loading doses (so 6 total). So far it’s working for me. Crohn’s for 15 years now. Still fighting fistula closure going on 13 months now ugh!

My doctor is about to try to switch me over to Skyrizi from remicade due to antibodies. I just wanted to ask if Skyrizi has been successful for you compared to the other biologics and for the air bubble you mentioned, if you keep your leg up does that keep the air bubble from being injected even at the end?
    Thank you!!

Hi Paul, I'm preparing for a stoma reversal surgery in January of 2024. Have you had problems with incontinence or leakage since your reversal surgery?
I'm weighing the pros/cons of keeping a bag or risking incontinence.
Are you happy you went through the reversal surgery?
    Thanks for any input.

I am extremely happy that I went through with the surgery. I had chronic prolapsing issues with my stoma going in and out several times a day. Eventually I was going to need a surgery whether I liked it or not due to the damage that was slowly occurring to my stoma. Now that surgery could have just been trimming the stoma back a little bit more but I decided to do the reversal. I am very happy that I did it, I feel back to normal I kept around sixty percent of my colon. Overall, I feel very well and I have 0 issues with incontinence.
Obviously the surgery is a major one, amd you have to be very careful with lifiting weight for atleast 2 months.
Could I have lived with my bag? Ofcourse, do I regret getting connected again? Absolutely NOT.
It's a big choice, but if you can get reversed and go back to normal try it.
I did have fears, don't get me wrong, that it would be to hard to adjust, that it would be worse then having the bag.
At the beginning it SUCKED. But it does get better, im regular down to 2-3 bathrooms breaks a day. And I have zero issues, feeling great.
I hope I helped you, if you have any questions please feel free to reach out!
