2010 Hyundai Accent Electric Fuel Pump Replacement

**Caution...Read the entire contents below before doing anything else**
**disconnect battery terminals before attempting****
**clean all gas spillage and ventilate car to disperse all gas fumes before re-attaching battery terminals and starting car**
I changed the fuel pump because the car was stalling when stopped, and there were no OBD-II Engine Light Trouble Codes.....which usuallly means that the fuel pump is not creating enough pressure.
brief summary:
1 disconnect batter terminals (both, not just one, 10mm socket)
2 removal of back seat, (12mm bolt in center of back seat)
3 removal of gas lines from fuel pump housing, (pinch with fingers)
4 removal of fuel pump housing ( phillips screwdriver)
5 dissassembly of fuel pump housing / removal of old fuel pump from fuel pump housing (small flat screwdriver and larger flat screwdriver)
6 Transfer plastic spacer from old fuel pump outlet to new fuel pump outlet
7 Transfer "O" ring from fuel pump housing to new fuel pump outlet, on top of spacer.
8 installation of new fuel pump into fuel pump housing
9 Install fuel pump housing into gas tank
************* TIPS *******************
tips on fuel pump screen (break the old one off if you have to)
make sure to buy a new screen when buying a new fuel pump....do not use the old screen.
transfer the "O" ring from the fuel pump housing to the new fuel pump.
transfer the spacer (located on the old fuel pump gas outlet) to the new fuel pump gas outlet.
***Use Aluminum foil to cover the gas tank opening (8inch dia. hole) after removal of the fuel pump housing********
**use Aluminum foil to cover all open gas lines and fuel pump housing outlets/inlets.*************
***take precaution to clean all gas spillage and completely ventilate car before re-attaching the battery terminals**
