Good review. I've had a 1628 for 8 months and like you it lost 15 seconds per month ie 2 minutes. I use it for work as a painter and so far it has worked fine with no glitches. Set the time and date and don't really use many of the other functions apart from the back light which is excellent. Strap is very comfortable. The blinking + icon is completely pointless. Not sure why it's there? 😅 Thanks
Thanks. Yes. It's a cheap simple digital watch. I like the square design. I used to have 4 of them in different colours. The Skmei 1628 is not 100% reliable though. My Skmei 1628 did reset a few times and the buttons sometimes got stuck.
@@WorldReviews for the price they are great value especially as a hack tool watch. I just ordered 2 more from AliExpress. One as a backup and one for workmate. You get what you pay for at this price point, but at NZ $11.00 each they are a no brainer IMO. I've worn mine in the shower and WR seems to be fine. Cheers
@@Adrian_3006 11$ is ok, but I would recommend the Synoke 9620 instead, as it costs around 3$ with the choice deal (minimum order 3 items) The Synoke 9620 has the same square G-shock design, it does not have a timer or dual time (nor useless flashing cross), but it's a lot smoother to operate compared to the Skmei 1628 with its somewhat stiff buttons.
So +11 is quite acceptable. I'm thinking about getting the metal version. The issue of waterproofing, there is a guy here on CZcams who did several tests with this same watch and it held up very well, snow, freezing, extreme cold weather, diving in sea water, etc. czcams.com/video/yHU0m1CsQ-I/video.html
Hi friend! I've read some comments about the alarm sound and beep sounds on the 1456 being very low? Is that true? Did you notice any difference between the two? Did you notice it was too low? Thanks for the video
Hi amigo. Yes, the alarm volume on the 1456 is lower compared to the 1628, but the 1456 is easier to operate, the buttons are smooth, apply a gentle touch on the buttons and the module responds immediately. The buttons on the 1628 are harder to press and they sometimes get stuck.
@@WorldReviews Hmmm, interesting. Would you say the volume is really significantly low? Enough to be noticeable when not compairing, or would you say it´s not a deal breaker? I just bought one and is on it´s way from China, so I´m just wondering Thanks for the response C:
@@a_betancourth Yes, the volume is slightly lower than on other similar Skmei and Synoke digital watches, but it's not a deal breaker. I sold my 1456 because it was too chunky and heavy for my wrist. The 1456 is nice looking but it's not very comfortable on the wrist.
@@WorldReviews I wanted to know if the module of the metal one be put into the plastic one as i like the lightness of the plastic one but I like the 3 litter day on the metal one so was wondering if it could be installed into the plastic one.

@@WorldReviews oh ok, that's good to know. I'll have a look. If the skmei dies it's another option. Cheers 😉👍

Can the metal ones module be swooped into the black one?
There is a black version of the Skmei 1456 for the same price.

@@andyregan7889 I don't think the 1456 module fits the 1628 because the distance between the upper and lower buttons on the 1456 is shorter.
@@andyregan7889 The 1988 has the three letter day. Have you looked into that one?
