    It's hard to believe this is the final video from this trip. It never feels like the trip is REALLY over until I finish the final edit 😭. We hope you enjoyed watching this series as much as we enjoyed sharing it with y'all!

    Life's too short for instant coffee, especially if you're away from keurig/drip coffee maker. French press is our must have whenever we get going. 😊
    Even in the desolation of the landscape, beauty is everywhere to behold.

      If I'm being honest, usually the thing that keeps me from making real coffee is the percolator cleanup. Some mornings I just don't wanna deal with it. BUT ... I recently found out that percolator filters are a thing, which is muuuuuch better.
      How's the cleanup on a French press?

      @WheretoNextOverland all that's leftover is the grounds. Dump the majority in the trash, swirl some water for the leftover and toss away from the site. Its ground up coffee beans so it will go back into the earth. I don't know if that falls under bad camping manners, so correct me if im wrong.

      IDK if it's good camping manners or not, but I do the same thing. I find a tree / bush / plant a little outside of camp and dump the grounds at the base. I figure I've gotta be making that plant happy / fertilizing it .... right?? 🤣

    Sonoran desert is huge! Not a single person? Definitely adding this to the top of my list lol. Did you all have any issues with fuel? Great series 🙌

    • @WheretoNextOverland
      @WheretoNextOverland  Před měsícem

      Not a SINGLE person! It was (literally) wild. As for fuel, we actually cut it closer than we would've liked. Mapping it out, I didn't think fuel would be an issue since there were spots to bail along the route to gas up ... but with how slow going it ended up being, our fuel lights were definitely on by the time we were able to gas up

    • @WheretoNextOverland
      @WheretoNextOverland  Před 16 dny +1

      I think we only raised it once on the entire AZ trip, and that was just to climb a particularly gnarly rock ledge along the North Rim
