It is funny, but makes no sense why would Bobby phone and ask Victor to answer it? How would he know that Victor would have a great line to say? There’s a few thing like this that don’t add up. But it’s comedy!
For me this has to be one of the best comedies ever made, right down to the very last episode. Everyone should have a jack and victor as drinking buddies.
I LOVE this episode. Sylvester McCoy is just amazing. And I still sing "hauld on the noo, the buildings on fire" every time! Thanks so much for posting these.
This is one of those moments when we see the good side of the neds. Clubbing together to get an old hermit a nice meal! They may be annoying and rude as hell, but the Neds are still good hearted people in the end :3
What a show Sylvester is such a brilliant actor, a superb performance in this, i would have loved him to have been a regular, a tremendous actor, so suited to this show.
I love the idea that in Scotland an old hermit forcibly leaving his residence for the first time in decades is an event that the locals come out to not only watch, but also cheer for!
Just a great comedy series. Like the one about boot through the telly in 1966. Year my wife and I married but sadly I never got to put my boot through the telly in response in all the years since and probably never will. 😅
It’s funny how people usually talk about how much cheaper stuff was back then, but it’s usually the other way around with technology. Those TV’s would sell for a fraction of that price today.
Cheaper nowadays on purpose so the lamestream media and government can keep people in fear and hypnotise people with propaganda. Threw mine out 7 years ago. Best thing I ever did.
Crazy, this reminds me of my 14 inch portable tv I had in my bedroom, how on earth did I see anything on that wee thing, I remember still having it at 21 before my cat puked down the back of it while I was away camping and it blew up when I came back and turned it on ha ha

This is one of my favourite episodes, as I can relate to it well I stayed indoors for over a year, never once went out, for some reason it happens once in a while My longest spell indoors was about 18 month I may as well of been in the jail, I'm well over 6ft and I went down to under 10st, people very quickly forget about you tho unfortunately, Archie stayed in, then I don't think we hear from him in any other episodes, nor is he mentioned
That is Scottish people all over at the end " Thanks for the dram & leave the telly building to the Japanese"........Total misconception Scottish people are tight with money, I would share my last tenner wi somebody that didn't have a pint.
Thats a racist myth started by British politicians and in their media after their army massacred the highlands , killing whole clans inc children btw and laying waste the whole area which led to some highlanders going down south looking for work etc . They weren't welcome . .. Imagine a people knowing nothing of their history .

I think at this point in the show, Fergie was trying to improve on himself. That's why he's a completely different man in season 7.
