  • The Looper X2 is the culmination of over a decade of experience developing easy-to-use standalone and combination pedals. The Looper X2 supercharges practice sessions as well as live performances by empowering the player to start jamming as soon as possible.
    The Looper X2 is a dual-footswitch operated looper pedal aimed at providing fast loop creation with no shortage of space to save your favorite tracks and samples. With 11 song banks, each bank featuring 7 save slots, the Looper X2 provides a total of 300 minutes recording time (2.5 mins per slot in bank 1-9, 10 min each in bank 10, 11). Each slot also corresponds to common song structures as to make organizing sections and tracks easier, as indicated on the front of the pedal. Save slots and recorded tracks can also be managed using the specialized editor software that can be downloaded for free, and compatible with Mac and Windows PCs.
    Additional features of the Looper X2 include a FADE knob for controlling and toggling the Fade out function for each loop. Users can also toggle an Auto Rec function to start recording a loop every time a guitar signal input is detected by employing the THRESHOLD knob. Additional knobs include separate volume level controls for Recording and Playback, as well as an 11-option knob for scrolling through the song banks. The dual footswitch setup offers familiar Looper controls and for users desiring more control, the Looper X2 also supports an external footswitch that can perform a variety of operations like cycling through different parts of the current selected song bank. See the manual for more information on compatibility.
    The Looper X2, like with other X2 devices, includes Stereo I/O and a ¼” External Control out for connecting a footswitch as well as True Bypass to stay quiet when not in use.

    Hey Mooer,
    is it possible to save a recorded loop without stopping it before? I just bought one and it seems not to work! Now i see at 1:20 that this artist stops the loop before he goes over to the next part of the song. If thats the only way, the looper is quite useless for live performance. Mooer - Please comment! Thank you!

    Nice unit. If I record a one bar loop, can I record a four bar loop on top that? I don't want the four bar loop to be shortened or constrained into the initial one bar loop length.

    • @GreenhamGuitar
      @GreenhamGuitar Před rokem +3

      Hopefully that'd be selectable, but not the only option, since there is the opposite issue with the Ditto X4 where you'd let an overdubbed note trail into the next loop only for it to go and double the loop length when you didn't want it to. It meant a whole second bar of dead air if you overdubbed one millisecond too long. Anyway, no manual seems to be available online just yet to tell us.

    If I connect the pedal with a USB cable to a computer running linux, will it show up as a storage device? Or do I need to use the software to access recordings?

      @@roycorroy Wine has an issue with USB ports, in my experience. I can't get it to function with either of the two devices I've tried that with, my GE200 and a Focusrite Saphire box. In both cases, it seems to be a USB port and wine issue. I would sure love if I could get either to work. I went to the pawn shop and got a used laptop running winblows 10 for it.

    2.5 min is not enough per track time. This effectively only gives me 2 songs of any length, 10 and 11. This is a step in the right direction but it needs way more recording time on tracks 1-9.

    • @ClarkStarr
      @ClarkStarr Před rokem +1

      I just wrote to them for clarification. The text below the video says it's 2.5 minutes per slot in banks 1-9. So that's 17.5 minutes per bank.

    This wasn't a good demo as you showed no features of the drum section??? Simple question, can you set the drum function to pick up your guitar tempo, and start playing after picking up your tempo without manually setting yourself? Please answer as I sent you an email without answer weeks ago.

    Nobody is making loopers, without midi functionalities this days. I think it's a big downside in this range, of X2 pedals. Hope mooer could fix it. They do have the best sounding ones in this price range. But there's a lack of essential things....

  • @RobKMusic
    @RobKMusic Před rokem +3

    I use a looper for live performing solo acoustic REAL songs... not jamming. I LIVE-loop on the fly (nothing pre-recorded) while singing. It would be nice if ANY of these companies would consult with someone like me. Would be nice to just have LOOP-ONLY output to send to a drummer. Don't need FX. Don't need multiple banks. Don't need any gimmicks. And I'm certainly not bending over to make adjustments while performing. Seriously you guys...
    If I wanted to do what the person in this demo is doing I'd open a DAW (ProTools, Logic, Garageband even). This person is NOT on stage in front of people, 3-5 days a week, for 3-4 hours at a time, making money, using a looper in this manner. Nobody is.

    • @RobKMusic
      @RobKMusic Před rokem

      @@blueeyedsoulman Where I play here on the west coast of Florida, the local tourist beach-bar music scene is acoustic solo, and what is pejoratively called "strum & drum". It's typically an acoustic guitarist/singer and a drummer/percussionist as a duo. I loop a lot as a soloist so I can do some guitar solos and accent stuff, otherwise every song would be only 2 minutes long and boring. Not playing originals here. When I play with a drummer they need to be able to follow my loop. When I'm singing over it, or soloing on top of the loop, more often than not, the drummer loses it. I have a few key guys I use that are pretty reliable but let's face it, most drummers have spent their entire lives SETTING the time, not following it. So a click, or at the very least a "loop-only" out that I can send them would solve it.
      There are literally HUNDREDS if not THOUSANDS of "strum & drum" performers just in my area that would benefit from this simple feature. For most of us, this is our full-time job. There is THAT MUCH work here.
