I agree with you. A drum machine is ideal to get your timing improved big, big, big time.The thing is a metronome screams "Discipline" and is intimidating where as a drum machine literally makes playing more fun. I use the Alesis SR16. It sounds much more 'real drummer' than others. It has been made untouch for 31 years. There are obviously used ones to buy and although they do hold their value the odd used one comes up cheap. I am a song writer in a power trio so working with the bass player and the D. machine is ideal as it is not loud and our drummer can be presented with a finished tune at a full rehearsal.This alone makes having a D. Machine invaluable.
Yeas. I also have the Alesis but find programming it long winded and counter intuitive. Having just bought the OMB and finding it intuitive in use it's the one I will keep going forward. I tried at least three other similar but sent them all back (thanks Amazon) as unsuitable for me even though they had 'programmable' drums that I was unable to make use of as the programmes either wouldn't operate or were reported by windows 11 as containing a virus.... I'm keeping the OMB as it works well, is intuitive and has enough variations using the 'Bar' control. Good review, thanks 😊
I had!!!! To get one man , I love my moore X2 and I have a looper on my G3 zoom pedal, but you have to use the drum machine on it to get stuff tight. But this sounds like a way better option for me. So it literally can sense the rhythm that you’re playing?
Hi, thank you for this review. I have two questions:1. What do you mean by DI file? Which fileformat is it? 2. Does the device detacts wheter the rhythm is subdivided in 8th or 16th notes? Without it won't be able to autocreate the right beat. There is a Nux Drum that can't.
When you make, example a 15sec basic riff loop and hit the button to record 30 seconds solo it will record only 15seconds of solo? or it will continue recording solo to make 2 times longer or more? I have Nux looper pro and it doesnt work like that.
4 mins. per loop slot, not 10. I am pretty sure. Still, a ton of loop time. My mistake and apologies. It is 10 mins. per loop slot. It was the Donner circle looper that has 4 mins. per slot. Pretty sweet ! Thx for the review and suggestions. 🎶🕺

That’s a great point! I’ve always recorded to a click, but the takes usually just sound better if I do the drums first.

It's kind of tricky - I had to keep pressing and holding the RH foot switch until the slot light turned red, and then it did the delete.
Double click to stop. Long click delete.

So in theory, with ten minutes per loop, you could upload 7 backing tracks and do a short solo artist set?
Yes, which is why I think it should have a metronome option!
If you put two tracks in each location you could have 14. You might need to use a DAW or Audacity to merge the files together.
or you could do the loops yourself and bring them to a gig for boys to check out
why wiould anyone buy THIS with a time limit as opposed to the X2 with No time limit ?
