In your previous video (the router jig) promised you that I'm going to make a similar one and if it works with different bit sizes I will subscribe to your channel ... guess what ???? You have a new subscriber ... good build :-)
Hahaha! Love this. Thanks!
One of those videos where im initially jealous of your shop. When in reality im jealous of your organization, cleanliness, free time and most importantly, your skills. This is impressive
Super fun idea! And so handy for when you can't decide if you want to go surfing or stay at home playing video games all day.
Ha! I’m a mom of 3 so I never have those days.... but yeah! Thanks!
I wish I could like this video twice...
" I wanted to save on paper so i designed only half a template......................" You deserve a double thumbs up for just that statement. Bravo !!!! I wish i could subscribe again and again.
Hahahaha I wish you could too! 😂😂 thanks!
She looks very good on a balance board!
Very cool. Will plan to build one of these!
Have fun!
Great general woodworking tips even if not building the board. Thanks for the video.
Glad you found it informative!
👍👍👍 Excellent DIY video!!! Fantastic idea!!! 👍👍👍
Best regards from Germany 🏄
Thanks!
Project came out awesome! Love the inlay ... such a nice touch. It's cool the board can work in the X- and Y- directions.
Thanks! Yeah one way is easier than the other so it’s great the little kids can use it too
People that complain about CNCs better be doing all their making Wood By Wright style. Great fun project!
Haha! Right?! Thanks!
The thin strip jig is awesome. Looking forward to the video on how you made it. Thanks for sharing your skills.
Awesome. I’ll work it for next week!
Tamar!! You are very talented!! Your videos are encouraging!
The inlay looks amazing. Fun toy for the kids.
Thanks!
The inlays made an ordinary balance board very special. You have two very special talents: design and woodworking. Your choice of carpet tape worked just fine; FYI for the future - Liquid Nails Fuse*It would have also worked.
Thanks so much! I’ll remember that for the future
I love your channel and your builds. Don't worry about people getting upset about using a CNC. It is a shop tool. I also hope to have one very soon. Keep the videos coming!
Thanks so much! Yeah I just want people to open their minds a bit. Hopefully the next time someone complains about the use of a cnc I can just point them to this video. Ha
Power tool woodworker using holdfasts? Gasp! Love my holdfasts. Cool, simple project. Nicely done.
Haha! They are so much quicker and easier than any other clamp I have
This will work out really good for my son. He's a toe walker and it started messing up his tendons so he needs to start stretching out his Achilles and this might actually get him to do it since it turns it into a game.
Awesome. Glad it was useful!
Great job!
Thanks!
Your videos always crisp and to the point. Glad to see you getting some sponsors.
I glad too! Ha! Thanks for the feedback!
Thanks great job
The finish always makes the wood come to life, but that was awesome! This was a super fun project to watch and you make it look really attainable! 👍🏻
I liked that part of the video too ☺️ thanks so much!
Awesome build, I like the design of the board a lot! Reminds me of a surfboard
Thanks! That’s what I was going for!
Awesome and straight forward build! Plus, I have a cornhole set on my to do list and inlays like that would look slick! Thanks for all you do Tamar!
Oh! That would look awesome! Glad it was helpful! Thanks!
That turned out really nice!!! Back when I built my son a balance board for skateboarding. I used a 1X6 and a pvc pipe. Nothing fancy.... I love the inlay you did also!!!!
Thanks! I debated painting the design on but inlays are More fun. Ha!
Like always a great looking project achieved with clever use of standard tools and inventive jigs. I so love watching your videos!
Thanks! I really appreciate that!
Great video, thank you!
Glad to hear! Thanks!
Loved the inlays ideas, opens the door to endless possibilities. Very well done Tamar.
Thanks so much! Totally agree. Excited about it
I love your projects!
Thanks! This one was fun
DIYPD she’s amazing!
I want to make this just so I can hang it in my apartment because it's so pretty!
Hahah it’s a toy I actually don’t mind displaying in my playroom!
I like to focus more on design, thought process, and problem solving than matching one's method of creating something. If someone makes something with a CNC that I like the design of, I'll figure out how to do it with out a CNC. Might be more difficult to execute, but I also don't have to go through all the designing, tool paths, troubleshooting, etc, so I'm sure it all evens out in the end. Unless you're going to make a lot, in which case, sign me up for the CNC Lol
Rule #1 of internet woodworking, anytime a CNC is used, the have-nots will come out in droves lol I like the pattern, and appreciate the work regardless of whether it's CNC or by hand (though what does that mean, it's still a motorized router, and a guide that only puts you in control of moving it in one axis, so is it really that much different overall? lol) Do it with a saw, chisel and router plane and you'll get comments like "a router would be so much faster", so really you can't ever win :-D
Hahah so true! You can’t win.... that’s how I look at all these videos too. How can I make that work with what I have!
Awesome instruction video. Loved it, and ended up making my own Balance Board using your instructions, inlay, and all. Must admit yours are ten times nicer than my final result, but this was, to my defence, also my first time using my new Router, so all in all satisfied. As I do not have a tabletop-saw, I ended up using what size of strips I could buy, with the result of having to make two passes with the Router for each groove. Made it difficult to achieve a perfect fit. Next time I will either invest in a saw or buy a Router bit that fits the broadness of the inlay stripe.
Awesome. Sounds like lessons learned fir the next project!
Very cool piece! I love how you mimicked the lines on your logo.
Thanks! Yup! That’s what I did!
Thanks for the video! Project turned out great!
Thanks!
The router jig is so clever ! Congrats for this build and for your good ideas 👍
Thanks so much! I love that jig
I can't even balance on the floor never mind a balance board!
Haha! It’s such a good work out!
@@3x3CustomTamar the only workout I would be getting would be getting back up off the floor!
animationcreations42 haha! That’s always a good one.
Great job on the inlay! I love the contrast!
Thanks so much! Me too! I didn’t want to cover it with grip tape. Ha!
You are amazing. Love the vids
Thanks so much!
@@3x3CustomTamar Half way through my balance board
That came out very nice. I'd like to try also that inlay technique. Looks quite easy but of course can not really say until I try it myself.
It is very easy! Thanks so much!
You're the Queen of Jigs. Awesome.
Ha! Thanks! Anything to make my life easier
Wow. Great idea I like how you did the inlays and using the router jig you made. Very nice!!
Thanks! He jig was really useful!
Tamar rocking it as always. You give me inspiration. Now time for me to head back in the shop.
Haha! Awesome! Get to work!
Nice work Champ! Super impressive
А я тебя уже потерял))..интересная штука, молодец!👍 Удачи тебе,в твоих проектах.
Judging by the thumbs up. I’m going to say thanks you!
Nice! Looks like a fun project!
It was fun! Always fun to make stuff for the kids
Cool vid!
Getting to know your Jigsaw better !!! It looks Great. You need heat in your garage to protect your tools and keep warm !!!
😭😭😭 it’s so cold!!! This jigsaw is the best one I’ve ever used
I love how you’re making a project based on surfing while wearing snowboarding clothes!!😂😂 cool project especially since it’s for the kiddos!!
Haha! I wish I didn’t have to wear my snowboarding gear....
I know the feeling!! I’ll be in mine this weekend in my shop!! 🙈🙈
Preston Daniels good luck!
Merry Christmas
You too!
Love all your videos Tamar. Any chance of you doing a surfboard build video from a kit...?
Thanks. Not planning on it
It's amazing. I loves to see your whims datails and finish.
Thanks so much!
Thanks for showing & sharing that
Thanks so musch I build in sweden my own Board. Got som tips from you. 👍
Very nice board...and feet!
Awesome video! Very well explained too
Thanks so much!
This board is beautiful!
Thanks so much! It was fun to do
Yeah, it looks like it... I want to make one now, too!
Kaylee Gallisdorfer do it!
When I'm done with surgery recovery, I think I will!
Really cool Tamar! 👍🏻👊🏻
Thanks so much Fred!
I've seen you make half MDF molds, and I find the idea brilliant especially on objects that have to be as geometric as possible, such as skateboarding and rocking. That way with half the mold and with the help of the mill you would have more refined jobs. Sorry for the observation, but not all of us see only the whole work, but also the smallest detail.
It is very cool
Thanks!
Very cool piece! I absolutely love your design. Definitely would like to try and make one myself, maybe not so fancy though 😋 It would be a great addition to the gym for a fun balance workout.
Thanks! Yeah. The inlay isn’t necessary at all. I just like to make my life hard. Ha! It’s such a fun workout
3x3Custom - Tamar haha 😂 No you do it because you’ve got the awesome skills (and tools) to and cause you can so why wouldn’t you!
Besides there’s only one way to get the fine skills you’ve got and it’s not by keeping things simple.
Great project. Thanks for sharing.
So glad you like it!
Nice
So beautiful, I liked it very much!!!
Awesome! Thanks so much!
Why would anyone get upset about using your CNC? It's a shop tool too!
Well. They said they thought they would learn how to do the inlay pattern and we’re upset they couldn’t replicate it. 🤷🏻♀️
Looks like fun! And a great way for me to break my nose. 😂
Haha! It’s def a challenge for sure!
So cool!!!
And such a great exercise! 😉
Great job
Thanks! This was a fun little project
Ok, now I get it! This is awesome, I want one 👍
Ha! Yeah! It’s super fun! I keep stealing it from my kids. Ha!
Thanks
thank you very much for the information I intend to buy my next Dewalt tools I already had this very good brand of drill also
Glad you liked it! Yeah this is a Great jigsaw
Joli travail bravo salut Jeannot 😉🛠
Thank you! ☺️
Good job and funny, thanks for the video.
Thanks! Glad you liked it 😂
good night, very cool this project, mes says about this new jig saw Dewalt is good ?, And that has not yet been released here in Brazil this model
Thanks! This is the best jigsaw I have ever used
beautiful work! you are really good at what you do :)
Thanks so much!
With the 3/4” thick plywood, would it be strong enough for a length of 48” board? I want to make a snowboard style balance board like yours but possibly with a 16” width. What do you think?
Not sure! Try it out!
Lovely
I Really like it
Thanks so much! Glad you do!
Nice work!
Thanks so much!
I love your videos and your jigs...
Decided to make one for my kids yesterday. I used you templates and it turned out really nicely. Didn't do your inlays (they were too complicated for me), but simple cross instead. I really like the end result.
One question of I may, which oil do you use that makes the wood so lively?
Thanks again, Nir
Awesome! So glad you made it! I think I used wipe on poly here
Good project.
Thanks! The inlays were fun
Beautiful project Tamar! Some surfboard wax might be good if the feet sweat.
Thanks!
Build a surfboard!!!!!!! :)
I’ve watched a few videos. Maybe one day
Looks good
Thanks!
I love your work! I will definitely give it a shot!!! How thick is the plywood?
Love the walnut inlay!!! The video and the thought is lovely.. definitely will subscribe to your channel. I will add anti slippery to the board, an epoxy sand thing will keep the look and give the out come. Thx!
Glad you liked it! Thanks!
@@3x3CustomTamar what was the thikness of the plywood?
Mati Hir 3/4”
@@3x3CustomTamar so far so good... Can't share the pics from the progress. What kind of finish did you use?
Mati Hir wipe on poly
Nice work
Thanks!
Eu comecei a treinar ontem
What the plywood thickness? Great tutorial!
3/4. Glad you like it!
Good information ok thank you
Glad you liked it!
Miss Tamar, I bet your next video will be, how to build "crutches"!!! 😂LMBO!!! You be careful!!! LOL 😀 I will be buying some of that 3 in 1 dry lube. Nice build and take care!! ☆Jay☆ "miles of smiles".
Hahahah! I hope not!!! I’m getting better at it. Just takes some practice!
@@3x3CustomTamar I hope not too. 😁😁😁. I guess you STILL have no heat in your shop???
I built a DIY Indo board about a year ago for my wife and used grip tape instead of inlaying it. Even cut her name out for it. I definitely am up for a challenge, and your inlay job was beautiful. Was that a #4 plane you used to finish the inlay?
That sounds awesome. Yup. That was a #4
Top
👍👍👍good
Thank you!
What kind of table is your bench dog work bench? The one that you use your hold fasts on in this video
It’s from Armor Tool
Hello, at minuts 6:18, which oil do you use?
Thanks \m/ awesome work!
Beautiful board! Which plywood did you choose? Is it beech? Do you know "Bredder Boards" from Tübingen in Germany?
Thanks! It’s birch
Thanks, cool. How stronge is the pipe? Would it hold an adult? Generally, I don't like wood works who make things that that are noveties, but your stuff is alway cool.
Thanks! My husband is 6’4” 200 and it held him just fine.
Is Tamar not an adult?
Wait, I've seen the way she plays around at the end of her videos... don't answer that.
Jeff Mansfield hahah! It’s how young you feel, right?
I know you didn't do this in this video but why do you use tape as a drill stop instead of spending $4 to get set of 7 drill stops from Harbor Freight (HF is just one example, Amazon sells them for $7.49)? I'm just curious, your way works fine.
Ha. Better yet. Why do I use tape when I already own those drill stops ? I just always seem to forget about them.
@@3x3CustomTamar Btw, the balance board looks great. Thanks for doing the videos. I'm just getting into wood working and appreciate your insights.
Allanar Starfyre awesome! Glad you like them!
groovy ;)
Thanks ✌️
Ahaha I live in Australia so it’s 35degrees Celsius.
My knowledge of Celsius is that 20 is comfortable. So that sounds hot
I'm in Switzerland. What's the material of the shelf liner of?
It’s some sort of rubber material
