Growing up my older brother bought a lightly used â65 Mustang 289 in 1965. I was 9 years old. Over the years I watched the Mustangs evolve. Loved the early Shelbyâs and the Trans-Am racing in the 70s. When the â71 came out I was disappointed. This almost Torino sized âStang was never gonna see a sports car track. Too big. When the Mustang ll showed up my brother bought a Mach 1 version. I was in HS and heâd let me borrow it. Girls used to ask if it was a Pinto. Took many years before Mustang got its mojo back.
I love these old retro commercials!! đ
"Restored in HD 1080p"
Nice conversion to CZcams video format. And thanks for not horizontally stretching 4:3 to 16:9.
But this is definitely not 1080 horizontal lines of resolution. Looks more like 300 to 525 lines.
Very cool
Picture a 16 year old girl seeing that red and black Mach 1, excitedly calling her Dad and asking for money to buy it. Sadly, Dad bought her a Pontiac full of sawdust that lasted a whole two weeks. :(
Ford Torino LOve
They built these cars for 40 years. Sure they changed the name styling and even which tires moved, but they did.
Pinto, Maverick/Granada, Mustang, Torino, LTD
Escort, Contour, Mustang, Taurus, Crown Vic
Fiesta, Focus, Mustang, Fusion, Expedition
Just like Pinto, Maverick if you bought it with manual transmission it likely lasts for many years.
The economy Ford car automatics have always been a pain.
Every time I see those early '70s LTD's, I think of the Dirty Harry movies...
brings back the good ole days when you got more car for your money people weren't so rotten as they are today music was better then today and children had respect before Covid-19 along with a screwed up society
Back in the days when you could tailor a car to your needs.
I love Fords, They âïž the problem so Chevy & Dodge guys can fix there Fords
Found On Road Dead!!!
Yep and Fix Or Repair Daily. đ
fastest on race day
found offroad retrieving dodges
Looking at the overall style and production values of these ads, I canât believe that I am old enough to remember when this was cool or even acceptable. They are all as corny as humanly possible. And tacky. I loved a few of the cars though.
Not cool like 1977 when Laurie Partridge's boyfriend went to space after whining about being sent to town on farm errand.
Not like every white teen actor trying to do rap
Not like Cool Man Biden in his mirrored shades.
".these ads..when this was cool or even acceptable..."
I was an 11 year old car nut in 1971. I remember finding these car ads cringey and condescending. But i thought it was just me.
@@antera77 it was just you.
@@STho205 "it was just you"
Recognizing that authoritarianism like yours, doesn't work as well as democracy, is a big part of why in 2021, humanity has the highest quality of life ever.
@@antera77 no it was just you. It is called tween angst... It is not a basis of reality.
Sadly the green peoples party of Germany and the EU environment chamber have banned all combustion cars after 2030, from 2025 on there will be only very limited fuel supply, only one gas station per city in the EU. In Scandinavia all combustion cars are banned from 2025 on too. At the moment they even discuss to forbid trade with used combustion cars including classics!
"Sadly...banned all combustion cars after 2030"
SADLY? It's called science, and saving the planet.
"they even discuss to forbid trade with used combustion cars"
Highly implausible. The same scare tactics that spread doubt about anthropogenic climate change.

@@antera77 you obviously don't like old cars Karen, do us a favor and be an sjw somewhere else...
@@telcobilly "you obviously don't like old cars "
Stopping producing new internal combustion vehicles after 2030, does not imply anything about existing old cars.
"Karen, do us a favor and be an sjw..."
Recognizing the science behind the overwhelming evidence for climate change, does not imply support for social justice warrior excesses.
