You might get mistaken for having the DCT when someone hears your car from the outside, because the downshifts are so on point 👍🏼
You can tell with the upshifts!

its also a very fast revving engine which helps a lot with how fast he's doing it- not undermining the skill at all

The first time I heard an E92 M3, I was in the front of Flatout Motorworx in Phoenix. They were working on a stage 3 ESS supercharged one in the back and when they fired it up I thought it was an indy car. It ended up being an airport runway racer that was featured on the front cover of some Eurotuner mag, titled “Heat in the Desert”. I got to go with on a test ride to pick up lunch……neatest ride if my life.
Oh, if I remember correctly, it dyno’d @ 750 hp. A guy in a hopped up 370z pulled up and wanted to go from light to light. He took off while my driver was explaining the M3 tranny capability to me…I said, “that guys racing us”, as he already pulled 100 feet on us. The driver said,”wait…what?” Then smiled and said, “watch this….” I got flattened into the seat as we blew past the yellow 370z like he was driving in reverse. We stopped at the next light and I put down the window. He said “HF!!!, I KNOW I got a fast car, but that thing is INSANE!!!” Grinning from ear to ear, I said, “I know!!!”.

Damn, this car sounds insane. On a different note, your downshift R perfect. Like another commentor stated, they are so on point that you can definitely be mistaken for a DCT

Lukas I have a e92 11.75 6mt with Acra evo exhaust with Ess tune. Have owned since I ordered from the factory. Just put a new clutch in with fly wheel and replaced the rod bearings. It’s been my garage queen. 43k in 10 years. Decided to super charge. Nonetheless I have had my fun with the Manual transmission. However now that I am going to supercharger I realize that this vehicle was made to have dual clutch transmission. Transmission. If you want to push this car to the limit you do need DCT.

Connor V I completely agree. I literally waited 6 months to get my 6MT. Just saying that after 10 years of owner ship I have gotten second thoughts when it comes to the DCT especially when super charging. I got absolute love for my baby Manuel transmission and not taking any love alway:

the problem with US roads and highways are the speedlimits however and their quality is also not the best sometimes.
here in germany where i live you have basically still "car heaven", the roads are mostly in perfect condition compared to basically every other country, you can push on B-roads 120-130 km/h without being afraid of police radars too much, you have unrestricted highway areas where you just can go as fast as you want etc

sound literally sends shivers down my spine, i was on a road trip back from dc and one of these m3s pulled up next to me and i only got to hear a nice crisp downshift and minor rip because we got held up and split in traffic and i’ve never heard one like it sense this video just did that for me thank you🙏

Having the opportunity to drive one of these last weekend was an experience I will never forget. It was a DCT but man I smiled from startup to parking back at the location. I truly am trying to own one in my lifetime
I just drove one as well for the first time. Also a DCT🥲 Thing is an Absolute machine. But even with the DCT I still feel like I’m driving a manual.
I’m pretty sure this is my favorite sound of all time. Your videos make me want to buy an e92 with a Bomiz exhaust just for that sound. Good lord

Bro is living the dream congrats👍👍 This really is the second best sounding BMW engine for me after the S85. The V8 is a masterpiece but nothing comes close to that V10!

I absolutely LOVE the gauges and infotainment screen setup in these older bmws. The screen tucked under the bulge is so sick. I have a 2014 bmw and the quality and aesthetics are obviously better, but everytime I get in an older bmw it’s so sweet.
Oddly enough, I also prefer the E generation setup of the screen compared to the new ones. IDK it just fills the dashboard better IMO
Javian Johnson I agree, the integrated screen in the dash could’ve been modernized in a really sleek way. I still like the new set up but I wish they took the other route.

Ahhh skyline, woodside, bonny doon, Santa Cruz...... a paradise that I sometimes took for granted being born and raised in the bay area. Moved to New England a year ago, I miss this so much it's beyond words. Sold two of my cars, but couldn't part with my S2000. Drove it all the way cross country. Its getting beat to shit here, I'm really missing those days ripping it around highway 9 and the PCH with the top down and then tucking it away in a safe, warm garage. :'''''''(
Also I love the flat bottom wheel. It's perfect. I haven't driven a stick with the e9x style knob but I almost prefer it to this one.
Glad to say that I've finally purchased one and the main reason for that is coz of this godly m3 of yours. It really made my decision much easier

Really debating on pulling the trigger on a 80k mile E92 M3. That motor sounds epic. Never owned a BMW but people in that community are very passionate about the driving and experience. Definitely can see this car being a collector car in the future.
Go for it, but I gotta warn you, there is no 12 step program that cures BMW addiction!
Imagine driving this one in its homeland on the autobahn where you can go as fast as you want. Or on the Nürburgring race track. I can tell you, its just fantastic. I love my M3 E92 and the awesome high rev V8. Really nice sounding exhaust you have there. And its a manual! A rare sight in america. YOu made the right choice!

I saw that route too. Done it a hundred times. 84 is the main event here. He looked pretty timid pace-wise, but that's common for the newer/nicer cars that drive this area. The scene in the last decade or so has become more peacocking than serious driving.

E92 m3 hands down has the best v8 sound! Than it’s the 4.6 4v cobra engine when you tune them to make power all the way up to 8k rpm they sound like nascars with full kooks exhaust

I just installed the Wakaa carplay, and I’ve got to say I am impressed. Had to do some tinkering with the radio to get the sound quality back, but it was well worth it. Strongly recommend for E9x folks.
