      @jeanackle Před 3 lety +2

      Try doing a little bend on the knee just before you hit, like Wonderboy said ( 3:40 ). On top of the dig, it should help in distributing the impact throughout your whole leg.

    I throw a spinning "back hook" kick, the chamber is like a back kick but it extends like a question mark kick by curving up to the head.
    I throw this because I prefer the spinning back over spinning side kick, it's a bit faster & more powerful but you do throw blind before seeing your opponent so it can be risky, but worth the faster delivery to me.

    Back in the day, the school I was training at referred to it as a Spin Heel Kick. For obvious reasons. The closest I ever came to getting KO'd in class was a few weeks prior to testing for my black belt and one of the black belts at the school decided to lay one on me for whatever reason. I'm 5'6" and he's 6'2" and when he worked into position he fired one off and it blasted through my guard and put me on my back. I never blacked out but I had to sit the rest of the class out, plus a few more days. My instructor was super mad, it was too close to testing to be teeing off on people for fun. He ripped him a new one and delayed his next testing by 6 months. So yeah, that spin kick can be devastating and if it's done with a high degree of proficiency it can easily cause a TBI..

    I was alwsys hard on myself for theowing the spinning wheel kick because i felt i should throw the spinning hook. So noe ive spent so much time throwing variations of the spin hook and ive stopped really throwing the wheel. The spin wheel had more power especially if i bent knee a bit to dig in heel.
