Hug was the greatest kickboxer of all times, the man could fight Cro Cop and leukemia at the same time. Mad respect for this absolute legend and crazy entertaining fighting style!
Definitely not. Benny the jet takes it for me

To each their own ;)
I respect your opinion
@@51dodoc yes sir just my personal opinion is all 😉😂
Only in Wonderboy's comment section will you find such nice, respectable reply exchanges. That's why he's the NMF.

Im swiss and im impressed that you even pronounced it correctly. Keep up the good work!

Love from switzerland
I've been training every day for a long time.from the time I added running i would scream " FOR ANDY" everytime. R.I.P Hug
Imma steal that
love that you're giving recognition to this kick. To many MMA people just call both hook and wheel kick the same thing
"spinning shit"
Wonderboy, I've been binging on your channel since i found it a couple days ago to the point of almost watching every single video posted and I'm not even an athlete. That's how good your content is
I've been binging too lol. Great fight Wonderboy just had!
Andy hug absolute legend rip !!!,one of my top fighters ever,no one done axe kicks better then him,and that sick spinning leg kick ko never seen before, and he fought in legend era to,
What’s the difference between hook and wheel kick?
Joe Rogan: yes.
Joe rogan calls all spin kicks wheel kicks*
Lol that was funny!!
Nah Joe knows his shit
But in real time it's hard to tell which one exactly unless we see in a slow mo
Public service announcement: if you are trying this for the first time and you’re working it on a heavy bag, watch your knee on your kicking leg. You can really jack it up doing this on a bag. Great video WB!
yeah i never like throwing anything with a completely straight leg. that bend before contact is important.
Try doing a little bend on the knee just before you hit, like Wonderboy said ( 3:40 ). On top of the dig, it should help in distributing the impact throughout your whole leg.
Of course you have to bend a little bit and snap. It's dumb to lock the knees
That's another reason to bend your knee a bit when its landing
Also stretch your damn hammies! I pulled mine from not warming up properly trying to axe kick like andy
Spin wheel kick Neal’s leg for us
Andy Hug , Peter Aerts and Dennis Alexio are my alltime favs ,man im happy you did this tutorial ☺
Me its Jérôme le Banner and Cro Cop
@@rush7313 i also like cro cop a lot and fedor but strictly my fav K1 fighters are those three , wish K1 and Pride where still a thing
looking trim there WB, must preparing for a fight.
He is. I forgot with who though
@@JohnSmith-gc4rm think it was with geoff neal

Love watching wonderboy throw anything every move he makes in the octagon is superb he has truly polished every move in his arsenal to perfection
Please Stephen, let`s reacting about videos of Andy Hug. You and him are two important mentors of Karate !
Love the channel Stephen. Thanks for all the lessons and insights. Best of luck in your upcoming bout 🙏✌
Thanks for the content Wonderboy!! 🙏✌️
Amazing video bro, it is super cool because some time ago I`ve writted under another one of your videos to display some of Andy`s Hug kicking techniques and here it is!!! Great fighter and great human being I`m super thankful to you that you display such a Person to wider public as I consider Andy Hug a role model. OSS!
I love the distinction and break down of these kicks. Most people categorize these kicks the same but there are very subtle but important differences. Also many people don’t talk about the spinning crescent kick also looks like a wheel kick but different
I’m a little late on this but….love seeing Wonderboy giving it up for legendary Kyokushin fighter Andy Hug. Loved the “Osu” at the end. Much respect!!!
Awesome technique execution, explanation and breakdown, absolutely love it 😊👍🏾🥊🥋
Love the vids man! Keep em coming!
Thanks bro, for the technique
Nice to see You bring a Legend like Hug. One of the Best kickers in combat Sports and an Incredible Karate Figther.
The way he kicked people with some nasty leg kicks, and how he feints the Axe kick, creating holes for other attacks.
One of the most intrincated, complex and effective kicking games.
Thanks Wonderboy
Knowing all these different kicks really helps me. Whenever my spinning back kick doesn't look right (often), I just say I was throwing a wheel kick.
Hey thanks for the tips - you rock man!
Amazing channel!
Love your content, especially the warmup! Must've been great to grow up with your Dad a Karate Sensei! Would you do a video on making your own home makiwara setup to toughen hands and feet etc.?
Thank you spinning kicks are my favorite kicks
Great video as always! Tuesday's kind of a lame day, but with some WB techniques 🙌
LOVE YOUR VIDEOS MAN.....
I will like every video jus bc u the man and my fav fighter!
Andy Hug would be very happy! Thanks Wonderboy
This is how I understood learning a Mui Thai roundhouse from a karate roundhouse. This is a great tutorial thanks man. Keep up the great work.
Nice!!! Make another mindset video pleaseeee!
You and ShaneFazen are the only ones that touch on this kick! I checked everywhere and everyone mistakes the wheel kick for a hook kick. Thanks for the helpful tutorial.
Great lesson bro, you're the masters ok kick's
Glad to see you got a fight coming up!
I see the title with name 'Andy Hug' on it, I click! Thank you for bringing up his legendary technique as this clear in your video!
RIP Andy Hug 🙏🙏🙏
Dude ya a legend!
You are the best! Love from India
Thanks for the breakdown, im gonna drill it and try this in sparring saturday! Aswell as look up those mafkin highlites!!
Love you wonderboy
I loved Andy hug in K1 back in the day
Those are the baggiest shorts I’ve ever seen haha. I love it great video
Omg a vidéo on Andy Hug 🙇🏻♂️
Great technic
Yes love it !
Blessings from Colombia
Nice, good to see my favourite ufc fighter talk about my favourite K1 fighter. Spinning attacks to the legs are criminally underrated in the ufc
I would sincerely love to come to your gym to train and learn some day. I would do it right now in fact if I could, I'm a fan. I did a good deal of martial arts when I was real young, I could actually kick back in those days, but I lost it all now, too stiff, so I know I would have my work cut out for me. Andy hug was a true legend, and you are great fighter and a true martial artist, big respect.
I live a couple of minutes away from andy's hometown. Legendary warrior.
Wonder boy you’re the man!
osu!
Can't wait for ur fight against Geoff Neal
I loved watching Hug fight
Andy Hug was great!
Thanks Wonderboy this video was awesome! Gonna keep knocking over water bottles in my room trying to practice it.
RIP ANDY HUG!!! Will you do a follow-up exploring his famous Axe kick? That was my favorite technique to throw in sparring since we don't use it much in Shotokan.
Dope.
Looking forward to your fight with Geoff Neal 😆
Man ur intro fires me up
Hell yeah! Cant wait to use what I've learned in ufc 4
my favorite K1 fighter is Jérôme le banner , he beat so much guy and so many wars with Hoost and Hunt
Sensi Seth will also be a legend! love technique tuesday.
Andy Hug awesomeness..hero from the golden age of kickboxers, also had the best axe kick known to man 🥋
For twenty years, I've been trying to find a breakdown of this kick. Thank you, wonderboy!
KARATE BLITZ TECHNIQUE TUESDAY SIR THOMSON
That axe kick, terrified people 😮
Andy 👍 from AG 🇨🇭was the Best Standup Fighter ever and none kicks like him! RIP K-1Legend
Wow!!!
My favourite fighter talking about my idol fighter.Osu
Need me to rewatch me some Andy Hug.
I throw a spinning "back hook" kick, the chamber is like a back kick but it extends like a question mark kick by curving up to the head.
I throw this because I prefer the spinning back over spinning side kick, it's a bit faster & more powerful but you do throw blind before seeing your opponent so it can be risky, but worth the faster delivery to me.
Wonderboy blessed
Champ!!
All I want for Christmas is a Wonderboy head kick KO on December 19th
Read Andy Hug and had to leave a like!
Back in the day, the school I was training at referred to it as a Spin Heel Kick. For obvious reasons. The closest I ever came to getting KO'd in class was a few weeks prior to testing for my black belt and one of the black belts at the school decided to lay one on me for whatever reason. I'm 5'6" and he's 6'2" and when he worked into position he fired one off and it blasted through my guard and put me on my back. I never blacked out but I had to sit the rest of the class out, plus a few more days. My instructor was super mad, it was too close to testing to be teeing off on people for fun. He ripped him a new one and delayed his next testing by 6 months. So yeah, that spin kick can be devastating and if it's done with a high degree of proficiency it can easily cause a TBI..
Love the Hunter X reference 😂
osu!
Love some Andy Hug boom shakalaka
Lol, I was not feeling the theme song at frist, but now I sing along every time. Even when I'm sick in bed lmao
HUG was so HANDSOME ALSO wow what a personality. AMAZING.
Hey Wonderboy I just started Kickboxing and I hope to one day be in the UFC just like you but I need advice on how to stay motivated to go to the gym as I'm really unfit, we also just started end of the year exams here in South Africa so that is another thing that has my attention. Do you have any advice for me?
We all miss Andy I started I have been his fan since 1995
Wish to see you fight again soon
i totally forgot about this wheel DONZO, have u guys tried flying low kick instead of flying high kick when u r chasing ur opponent, u know usually guys go attack upper body when they jump, i was thinking about using it as jumping low kick with a lot penetration power
I was alwsys hard on myself for theowing the spinning wheel kick because i felt i should throw the spinning hook. So noe ive spent so much time throwing variations of the spin hook and ive stopped really throwing the wheel. The spin wheel had more power especially if i bent knee a bit to dig in heel.
Kyokushin ❤️
My personal favorite kick from hug was his axe kick it just looked so viscous
Wonderboy wearing the 90s basketball shorts tho
The spin wheel kick is basically all of my spinning kicks especially when I jump
He was just a f*cking legend
For the spin wheel kick, can you hit with the bottom of the foot/toes instead of the heel?
Yeah!
How great I like Andy, impress you, you can make a similar video but this time about Rick Roufus or Benny Urquidez
Could you do one on bill Wallace too? Has he inspired your style???
Yessssssssss
Was the one you hit Ellenburger with a hook kick or wheel kick?
Would you ever do a technique Tuesday on faints
How do you condition the tops of your feet?
Shins are always good but tops of feet seem to be impossible to condition.
2020 is the 20 year anniversary since he passed away. RIP Andy Hug! You always will be my hero. I will keep using your signature move the spinning wheel kick to leg aka “Hug Tornado” .
entraning more FLEXIBLITY style karate
