Maya: (Head)Lights With Fog

  • There are two ways to create this cool film look with fog and dust particles in the air. Also interesting: Can we switch the effect on and off selectively? We can!
    For the intro video I use the Nissan model by senthil23051987, the crickets and car-passing-by sounds by Stebanqui and Sotiris Laskaris. Here are the three links:

    This is a great video. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge! I have been looking for a method to create light beams in Maya and this looks great. I had previously used mental ray but perhaps this method is the way forward using Arnold.

    I love the problem solving approach of your videos. Feels natural.
    I turned the 'x' thing ON but it's not visible.. why? Bz some other 'y' needs to be ON/OFF.
