- Hey party people! thanks so much for hanging out with me while I share with you this new shopping adventure! I went to a couple of thrift stores near me, well I should say they were antique stores! I love them so much but sometimes the prices are a little outrageous but I find that shopping the antique stores are the absolute best places to find vintage gems, and unique items! those are my favorite! My style is grandma so I'm leaning into it. haha I also stopped by homegoods in south tampa and shared what they had! and since every single last one of you have been begging me for the trader joes haul I filmed but never shared I added it here! thanks so much for hanging out with me while I shop around and find some cool finds to fill up the new rooms in our house!!

My girl, coming from an Army wife who has had to redo an entire home every few years down to curtains let me give you some advice. You will have a nervous breakdown if you keep up this way!🤣 Take a photo and wall measurements of each room. Write down the priorities for each room and then assign yourself one room at a time. Choose the room that's the most pressing or most fun and finish that room before moving onto the next. It will save your sanity and the process will actually go faster that way. Also- love love love that you respected your daughter's request to not be on camera. Good mom!

Okay …. I’ve come up with an idea that i think will work for you!!! You need to choose one thing you love for a room. Just one thing …. Once one thing is bought you will start matching and working with the loved piece. That is why the dining room worked. You started with one thing and then it snowballed. I think you should buy that beautiful white mirror, the big one, then other things will start to fit with it into your bedroom. Try it friend…. I think it will work for you and give you a style and feature for each area.

I totally get how you feel overwhelmed because you are in need of so many things for your home at once! I think it would help to go room by room, make a list, take measurements if needed and just shop one room at a time😘! It helps me to keep my mind in order to go room by room. Today I said goodbye to my 49years old dad, all I wanted was to go home and have time with Kim, to have something positive. It is a hard day but for this time of the video I could rest and forget. Sorry to be negative, but you bring sunshine in every day!

I can totally see your office being the Lilly Pulitzer Blue toned wallpaper behind the fireplace the Lilly looking couch a nice bright rug and Medium toned wood furniture to ground the room with a nice wood mantle over the fireplace and so Coastalesque decor on the mantle. It would be beautiful and your happy place 😊
So that you don't get overwhelmed with all of the styles and colors....what I would do if I were you is choose one piece, like a rug, or a pair of chairs, sofa or wall art, that you love the style, color or print of, then style the room around that. It may take a bit of time to collect everything, but in the end, it will be fabulous, and you will love it.

I know you have five kids and not a lot of time. But I also know you're artsy and crafty. My daughter bought old table and little wooden school chairs for her kids and handpainted each one differently (an outer space theme on one, an artist theme on another, and a robot theme on the third) along with the table, to create a maker's space for her kids. So, I just saw another comment suggesting Eleanor paint a chair for Meredith. Same idea. That way you have the colors you want, and it's a one-of-a-kind piece.

I adore your thrift store! The room that attracted me most had a wood piece, a colored piece and white piece. I love how you don't do everything white, or everything matchy matchy. Biggest thing I learned that I like is pops of color. You don't want to be overwhelmed, and contrasting pieces. Like a white fire place with a wood framed mirror over top, a colored desk chair, wood desk.
Go back thru your footage from thrift store and and ask yourself what colors attracted you most in each room. It was more than likely combinations of contrasting pieces.

Thrifting with you is so much fun! My parents used to be antique dealers and restored so many treasures. Every time that you take us thrifting brings me back to my younger memories. I can’t wait to see what you come up with!! I know it will be great!!

That light blue velvety chair that was on clearance for $99 with the second white mirror and then one or both white lamps from the 1st store with the blue rose print lamp shades.... Love💙💙💙
My advice for your office….. Find one piece that you absolutely love and design around it, or pick one accent color and by a picture, an area rug ect and add pieces to it.

Did you see the last video from Clutterbug where she did her son's room & he wanted a hotel style?
She hooked up with a store that does a consultation with an interior designer so they sat & shared ideas until they came up with something they loved.
Not sure if they'd sponsor you so you don't pay but with all the overwhelming expensive decisions you have to make, I think it would be worth paying for a service like that, it was online but face to face & it seemed really casual & helpful, then you see the design which I think would help massively, you don't have to buy all the stuff from there either.
Milo's room is so calming, relaxing but looks high end, that boy has class! ☺️
Those 2 striped club chairs would be perfect for on the wall under the tv in your bedroom. You could always get them recovered in a different fabric. They appear to be super high quality pieces that you could move around if you wanted them in other rooms too. They are lifetime pieces that you never get rid of.
I laughed so hard when you were at Home goods and point the camera at the bunny near the stacked eggs and say "Look at this little lady" right as a little lady walks towards you! She probably thought you were talking about her! 😂

Maybe make a list of furniture you need and measure the space you would want them to fit into for proportion. Perhaps that will narrow the selection so it’s not so overwhelming. Those antique stores were loaded with so many gorgeous pieces.
I saw a pink flamingo painting at the first place you went that was the perfect shade of pink with navy accents. I say get that and do your office on the pinks and blues that make you sooo happy and add in some natural wood accents like the pie safe.

Probably easier to carry a note book with each room detailed out as size for the furnishings. Do 1 room at a time, maybe bring the child whose room you’re wanting new items for. Just a thought. I always have items in my mind for areas in my house but never find anything quite to my wants. Happy decorating

The beachy couch at the thrift store for the office totally beautiful. The blue chair and the large white mirror the 200 and some mirror perfect for the bedroom the chairs do not need to match you can always find another one in a blue color to go in therejust came up with those ideas when I saw your video. Love your style by the way.

Oh! You can frost the windows on the glass-doored cabinet! We've used colored tissue paper and watered down white glue. Easy to change but looks great!

Loved shopping along and the idea meander. I appreciate your not just filling your home with cookie cutter crap that looks like every other McMansion. I love that you also like to choose from energy of good memories of your grandmother and your travels in Europe and your whimsy of being a Florida girl. Maybe make several vision boards based on the ideas you have and mull over what the outcome is that you love the most. I feel that you like most to find the piece that speaks to you the most and build around that idea. Something between French provincial, old Florida and old south, and then there’s a bit of a jag towards those pink modern chairs which is a whole other vibe but could be worked into a Lily vibe if wanted. The original pink chairs you loved and were gone were really what you loved visually. As they aren’t an option figure out if you want more formal like the French country or more whimsy and energy as the Lily stuff is. I love both but love the Lily for you. Not sure how a Lily office might look and how it works with a fireplace but hey, there’s some card shuffling and vision boarding to be done. I liked the big fancy white framed mirror just for what it was. Not sure for where. Lol I enjoyed some other pieces. I also see your love of being a mom in some of those pieces and maybe can add some color to art on wall with a mother and children painting whether it’s your family or just something that lends itself to that. Maybe kids and mom at the beach or floral fields kind of vibe or something like that. Beachy vibe for Lily and mom and kids in lavender and sunflowers for provincial. Lol
Maybe look at some actual bed and breakfast type images in southern France and Italy for ideas of how you really want your vibe to be. That seems the vibes you are trying to recreate for the downstairs including office.

I love home goods etc I’ve bought many pieces your style in these stores. Also with large walls and areas larger furniture looks much better and smaller places also look better and bigger with larger pieces. My daughter bought a beautiful mirror like you liked. In home goods. Looks great. Happy shopping.
The floral chair n the floral frame would look great in your office. The wall behind the fireplace can be painted pink as an accent wall. It will tye it all together.
I think it will be easier for you if you think about a theme / vibe you want in each room and stick with that, then go from there because even if you have a lot of good ideas if it doesn't go with the theme you can leave it out then you can see more what you want to focus on..

Find a piece of furniture and just paint it! It’s so easy…it’s just choosing the right paint. I’m in Tarpon Springs and I can help you… I would go with neutral color furniture and just accessorize with the colors you love….example pick out a neutral color chair and then add a pink throw pillow.

I'm in the middle of trying to find my style and I'm finding that i love the antique cottage style. Plus candles, taper ones, preferably the beeswax candles. They have the most incredible soft sweet smell and so much better to burn. Slowly getting our small home decorated the way I want it to be.❤

I still haven’t made it through the video but I think you could definitely buy the mirrors if you love them and if they don’t work in the spot that you anticipated then there’s always plenty of other rooms/ spaces for it to go :) and that’s a great way to look at it for any other pieces you buy.
