They detect wifi and cell phones because these are RF detectors working properly. If you want to discriminate against these then you need to buy one with that specific feature. Not only that, cameras which record to onboard storage without radio signals will obviously not be detected by an RF detector. I’m not sure what the point of saying that even is
You know what? It seems like a huge missed opportunity to just change the form-factor into a pair of red-tinted, dichroic glasses ringed with the red LEDs. Store the batteries in the glasses arms. Then you can go about detecting hands-free.

some do much more than just RF detection, some use Ghz and other methods.
