Thank you for reacting to this song - IMO Swamp Dogg's cover was better but still great. People need to empathise more with those suffering from addiction - they're always trying to cover some pain, something broke them and they're trying their best to keep things together while hating themselves every day. Anyone that thinks an addict gets high for pleasure really doesn't understand what it's like.

great song, but that ice rink organ and most of all the electric sitar (I am guessing) are just ... way too period I guess is a nice way of saying it ...

Organ and synth in the background mucks up this song… live version is so much better
