Mr Clyde Mattocks on the steel a North Carolina treasure. I think i was a tennager the first time Mr Mattocks came to our house to make music. My dad was a fiddle player and played in bands. This is how it would go. The call would go out, want to get together and pick some..... You never knew what you or who would show. From a piano out of suitcase to two steel players to double fiddles.

He stopped loving her today was brand new and I caught it on the radio..I remember I said to myself... That Is A Hit!!!... Well.. Also; "with my broken heart , two empty arms and through tear filled eyes I watched love die that day," very good writing. Freddy Hart had a similar song, called," I love you but I just don't like anymore. Also a good song. They look and sound like Hart, and the Wilburn Brothers.
