Might be the best pro cycling video I've seen. Practical, easy to follow, and transparent. Thanks Harry!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Yep awesome!
i'm totally agree, that was great
Probably the best nutrition video made by a pro cyclist I’ve seen so far besides Alex Dowsett 🤝 This is the content the people need 🤘🏻
Thanks for the support! Let me know what else you’d like to see
Dowsett doesn't understand nutrition though, so the educational value in his video is 0.
Proof that healthy food doesn't have to be boring, one of if not the best video I've seen on cycling nutrition.
Absolutely! Glad you enjoyed it
Amazing advice. “Hunger is a better indicator than counting calories.” That’s really reassuring to know, thanks Harry. 🙂 Top content.
Keep in mind that he is a pro athlete who's done this for years (and seems to understand nutrition and sports nutrition too) so even when he says things like "eat off hunger, and not calories" or "I don't really weigh my food" etc. this doesn't mean it's all chaotic. When you understand what you are doing and have experience you can improvise. It wouldn't work for someone who doesn't understand nutrition which is not just about the macro nutrients and calories, but also about supplying the right amount of micronutrients. He's likely done calorie counting and macronutrient tracking before so even if not intentionally counting them anymore, he is aware of how much is roughly in every meal.
Absolute legend. Great recipes - healthy, easy, and all with a relaxed attitude and good sense of humour. Keep up the great work Harry.
Thanks Harry, I really enjoyed this detailed video. Its was more MasterChef than ProCycling which was great! I would be interesting in seeing a similar story about your rest day nutrition.
I’ll try and do that 👌
This video is superb - I found it really interesting. Love some of your recipes and you’ve inspired me to finally get round to making my own pasta.
Oh my gosh! What a lovely and surprising video from you! Thanks so much!! Keep the cooking videos coming. Very helpful and fun to learn new recipes. Well done!!
What a joy to watch! Thanks for giving us a behind-the-scenes look! Good luck with the upcoming races and we'll be cheering you on!
Thank you! Let me know if you have any requests
Watching the video every once in a while. Love the approach and the scientific evidence behind that. Keep it up Harry!
Such a wholesome video! Super fun to see other people sharing my passion for cooking and cycling! Earned my sub :D
Wow amazing to see such great quality content! Pleasure to watch, your channel will surely grow! Such quality food you are eating!
I saw your post on r/peloton and am glad I checked you out. Thanks for the quality content
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for the Anzac recipe. Hope your season is going great and you’re doing well.
Great work Harry. Some great and fresh meal ideas in there. 👍
Bro. ABSOLUTELY enjoyed it man, subscribed just from one vid. Wow. I easily agree with many other comments, by far the most tasty-looking "what this athlete eats in a day" video, legend Harry! Keep up the great work (on the bike, but also with these videos!!)
Thanks for the support, I appreciate it! You’ll like what I’ve got coming in a few days then 👌
Another great video - really interesting and inspirational! Good luck for the forthcoming race season
Well done on the lamb! Love that you cook based on fresh ingredients and keep it simple!
Avo smash looked great as well
Absolutely 👌
I knew you were a pro when I saw that onion dicing technique. Awesome video, I will buy the cookbook when you bring it out!
Hahahaha done 👌
So much good advice in this video. Love the smoothie recipe and have never tried Nesquik Chocolate Powder before so have just ordered some...
Don’t get hooked too hard
Great video bruv! I just have to say I love your kitchen.
Mate you’re chopping skills are on point? keep up the good vids
King! I didn't know it was even possible to cook (and make....) such healthy food. Congrats and thank you for the inspiration. Learned a lot here.
Thanks for sharing, brutal workout too 😯
Great Video Harry, Im enjoying this!❤️
Thanks Mate!
Best insight on this topic on CZcams! Amazing.
i'm in recovery from an eating disorder and this is all so helpful and inspirational. i've struggled with anorexia for 20 years and i'm currently trying to reintroduce lots of foods back into my life. especially carbs have been a big challenge for me. thank you for sharing all of these delicious looking, healthy meals. this is what i need - tempting myself with real, delicious and nutritious food 🧡
Watching this in a hotel room while being on the roads bikepacking for 1.5 months, and just drooling from your delicous home cooked meals. Love to cook myself, something I really miss, and will definitely save this video to make all of these things when I get back home! Keep them coming, it’s very inspiring!
Glad you enjoyed it 👌
Great vid Harry thanks for creating this.. 🤩🚴🚴🚴👍 good luck for all your upcoming races
Cheers mate!
Great practical advice, but sort of doubles as a home cooking show! Man, I'm starving....love it!
The food you made is so tempting, you are good chef!
Thanks for this video that can help us to have ideas ! Maybe you could make more recipees !
Dude, those recipes have inspired me for sure! Videos are sweet thanks for posting them! Do you meal prep anything? I really enjoy cooking, but some days after work or training its the last thing i feel like doing...
Glad you enjoyed it! No I don’t meal prep because as long as I have the basics like rice or pasta cooked it’s usually really quick to finish off the meal in a more creative way
Great video! Very practical eating advice.
Keep making videos! I really enjoy them
Such a great video with some delicious meal ideas 😍
love this type of content! thanks for sharing mate
No worries!
Love to cook myself, would be awesome to get more videos like this with tips and recipes on meals/snacks for athletes!
Sounds good 👌
Thanks for taking the time to make and share. Really helpful and motivating (from a CAT 4)
Very authentic, thanks for the video man!
Awesome mate! Keep ‘em coming
Hi Harry, great video !! Thank you for sharing, i think we crossed our paths few weeks ago in Saint Laurent d Eze, next time i will try to start a quick chat about cooking 😁😋
Haha sure thing 👌
awesome video, thanks. if you're into making food from scratch, you could make oat milk in your blender or cashew milk or soy milk even. keep up the great work, Sweeny!
Cracking video, Harry - cheers, mate!
🤝
great video love your channel harry
Thanks so much for sharing this super helpful information. Keep up the excellent work!
Glad you found it helpful
This content is brilliant!! Love to see more
Really enjoyed the video! Keep it up!
Best nutrition video from a pro! Thanks
Glad you found it helpful!
Massively refreshing to see and your comments on weight and cycling. As a trained chef but also someone who is an avid cyclist but at the same time plagued with the disordered side of eating, this has really helped me👍🏻
Glad it helped you out 👌
Impressed with your cooking and eating. That snack is a like a full meal for me.
Glad you enjoyed the video!
Very enjoyable to watching you made meals. Thanks
Great video, very informative and to the point, thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Struth Harry - From Pro cyclist to Pro chef one day. Thanks for stopping to help fix a flat a few years ago out near Nudgee beach ;)
Harry, great video. Thank you. Perhaps a suggestion for a future video would be an example of your go to core workout. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed, I’ll make that happen 👌
@@HarrySweeny98 thank you 🙌🏻
Excellent video! Looking forward to more
Great idea to make Anzacs as a large slice.
Practical and professional. Great vid.
😉
I really enjoyed this video. Everything is easy to follow not to much fuss about it, all look delicious. And have to say you have decent cook for a bike rider 😉🤙
Glad you enjoyed it! Might have to do a follow up with some more recipes then
Great video! Very inspiring! I feel like cooking now!
Loving the chanel Harry. Cheers (Roger)
Great video.. I race enduro mtb and the Anzac slices will come in handy :) If only you could tell me how to make sure they make it to the fridge, rather than all being eaten before they even cool down 🤣🤣
Finally some decent food in one of these videos! Apart from the Nesquik though! Also I would need to wait 4 hours to train after eating that breakfast and would probably fall asleep, plus those 4 huge flapjack things amd carbs in the bottle during training! Wow! Good job you guys have team cars so the carbs don't run out!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Very nice. You got to start making your own bread, sourdough ofc! You'll never want to eat that sad toast again. I've baked well over a hundred loaves myself, the process is super forgiving, and worth it!
Superb Athlete ! Superb Diet 👌🏻🌟
We have the same bars but in the UK is flapjack made with golden syrup which is goated
Absolutely slaps for training 👌
This is the most delicious What I Eat in a Day video from any athlete I follow
Amazing
Thank you!
Great video. Top notch knife skills!. Definitely going to give making my own peanut butter to go. 🇳🇿🚴🏼♂️🇦🇺
Legend thanks!
What a nice video. The best I have ever watched from a pro-cyclist. Thank you very much Harry.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for sharing. You use knife like a real chef! Impresive! ! !
Great video! Really enjoyed watching. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it 👌
First, I just found your CZcams channel and I think you do a great job. The "having a beer with Matteo" was very entertaining.
That said, for the recipe ingredients you provided for the ANZAC, can you provide the instructions as to how to put it together properly?
Don't know if this helps, but I remembered seeing this recipe on "Tasting History with Max Miller": czcams.com/video/9NEyzsxjc2w/video.html
I can't get enough avocado toast! Here in 'murica I put my avocado on Dave's Killer Bread with a slice of Swiss cheese. I gotta try your version of toppings.
👌
Absolutely amazing! Thank you for taking the time to share this with us. May I ask did you have electrolyte carb mix in all 4 bottles during your ride or just the 2 bottles to start?
Usually only the first 2 when training and if it’s hard I’ll take every tabs but I don’t sweat a whole lot of salt
@@HarrySweeny98 Thank you for taking the time to respond! I am excited for your growing success at the TDF and on CZcams!!
Inspirational. More recipes please 😀
Oww Harry! Such a nice guy. Hope you keep uploading much more videos like that and showing us the life of a pro cyclist. So nice👌🏼
Glad you enjoy it 👌
@@HarrySweeny98 How much time are you use to taking after having breakfast to digest?
Good thing you are young and extremely active because there is quite a bit of junk in your diet that less active people would not get away with. Thanks for posting this video as it was interesting to see what a pro eats in day.
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks from Oregon US., Harry!
Man that gnocchi looks good, going to have to make it myself some time.
One of the things I do with my smoothies is to have a large handful of kale or spinach so that I get a load of dark leafy greens in as well
Thank you for sharing the foods that you eat. I’m surprised how much servings eat and still being lean. Do you recommend any cook book I like the kinds of food that you made?
I started watching your videos because of the cycling, but now I only want to learn more recipes!
Nice video. Would like to see the core and strengthening stuff as well
yea same
Yeah me too ✋️
I’ll see what I can do!
If I could add, how you mix your core and strengthening within your program. Thanks in advance Harry.
Great vid. I like to put some peanut butter and dark cocoa powder in my recovery shake to get some fat in too. Tastes amazing.
Good sauce mate. You’re so right, just eat good natural food and so much of the complexities around sports nutrition aren’t a worry
Great video Harry. The food looked truly delicious. Question: you seem to have a lot of sugary items. How do you find this on your daily energy levels? Do you find you’re constantly in peaks and troughs? I gave up carbs a year or so ago to help sustain my energy (I compete at age group triathlon standard) and it worked well.
Some super ideas there! Thanks a lot. Going to copy a few ones here :) you got any recipe collection somewhere?
I might have to put one together 😉
@@HarrySweeny98 Yes please, do!
Harry you should look into commentating on races as well, you could join the team on SBS. I mean that alongside pro-athlete cooking and your interviews of other cyclists.
Harry, where did you buy the magnetic strip for your kitchen utensils? A very interesting video. Have you been chosen for the tdf?
Nice channel, great content🔥💪🏼
Thank you!
Keep up the awesome content mate
Cheers 👊
Amazing video! Thank you a lot.
Good stuff! Where did you get the neat world food map? Best of luck this season.
It’s off Amazon that one!
You have a new fan now!
Glad you enjoyed it
great content mate keep it up, serious question is there an easy way to take a leak in those bibs? surely there is..always wondered as it's a so annoying..
Hahaha absolutely, you can pull the front down easily for a leak in the bushes 😂
As soon as u took the peanut butter I had to pause the video to go for a spoon XD, loved the video!
I've seen you did not eat or mention junk food through the video, how do you treat these? Do you eat any during or after a workout as a treat for the effort?
I usually find that when I eat really well (enough) I have very little cravings for that, but when I do I usually would replace the carbs from my recovery shake with haribo or whatever it is :)
super nice video, I cook as a profesianal chef every day for the same grou of people, this movie gave me new inspiration. keep it up
Glad you enjoyed it!
Greetings, how long and at what temp do you cook the Anzac at or do you just mix them and let them sit in a mold?...thanks great video...
Question mate love your cooking I can't have egg or dairy what could I substitute to make the sweet potato pasta you had with lamb
Loved this video!
Glad you enjoyed it
