- Hey sailors,
Each cruise ship is so different which will means each contract you do onboard will be unique. However, even though you may be on a different ship each contract, in a different location you will always go through the same 10 stages of your cruise ship contract.
You may be at sea for 4 months, 6 months or 10, regardless of the length of contract you will experience these 10 things.
On every ship I have worked on I have gone through these 10 stages so, this video is to reassure you that you are not alone in feeling these things.

I felt that last stage with you as you described it, and I've never even worked on a ship. lol
In retrospect, thats the exact feeling the first time you visit your family after you move abroad for a long time. Youre excited to travel and visit family, but you miss your flat mate and or significant other dearly even though you will maybe see them again in a few weeks.
