Mario & Sonic: Worlds Clash

- Through an unforeseen event, two of the worlds biggest video game icons are forced to switch worlds, and struggle to overcome the differing rules, mechanics and goals defined by each others games.
A Mario & Sonic crossover animation I created for a high school Media Project back in 2008. Due to time constraints, the version I submitted had scenes cut out and others rushed, and as a result, I wasn’t satisfied with the final product. Since then I’ve been animating on and off during my spare time to reach the point I intended the animation to be. And here it is :)

Awesome animation, humor, sounds and story. This was really epic tribute to both franchises! I say this is one of the if not THE best crossover animation I ever seen of them! All the hard work and years you put into this really shows and I applaud a million times for your dedication to this project. I loved when the characters get introduced and how they interact. Sonic and Mario adjusting to their opposing worlds had to be the funniest thing ever.. Everyone was hilarious and that ending was soooo great. the inner fan girl in me jumped for joy, watching this all... You really stayed true to the games and it came out flawless :D I'm reading all of the profolio now and I can't just say how admirable and inspiring how much work you put into this epic animation! It's awesome, I can't even begin to explain my love for this. :) Keep doing you!

It was actually very easy to read haha! I loved reading every page because of how in depth this project goes and how much details and study had gone into it. I think more aspiring Sprite animators who watch this should take note from that. :) It definitely inspired me to try to work as hard. I really love this! it's funny, the humor, the characters act the same as the games, it pleases both franchises, and it's balanced between both franchise instead of favoring the other one the most.

This will forever remain a staple of my childhood.
This was...REALLY well done. Funny, had a well written story and amazing action and it's really cool to see how fast they adjusted to each other's worlds. 100/10 gonna watch again

This is amazing! If there's ever a Mario and Sonic crossover game (an actual one, not a minigame compilation), they should hire you to animate the cutscenes! I know that's a bit of a stretch, but the point is, you're really good at animating! You deserve way more subscirbers!

Sadly, I was sorta expecting for Mario and Sonic to like...give a high-five or something when they were returning to their worlds. It would've made my day. Still though, the story, animation, and just the entire production itself is 200% wicked.

DAMN. It's 5 years old and I only get to see it know ? I feel like really missed something, that was SO Good. Gives me Super Mario Bros Z vibes but since it's shorter, I fell like there no "filler" or long conversation to slow down the pace. That was epic. When Sonic is running here, you REALLY feel his speed here. Props to you man ! Keep up the good work ! You've just earn a new subscriber !

Here I was just trolling through comedic video game animations when I stumbled upon this gem. It is beautifully animated, and captures the atmosphere of the RPG games of both series. The touches of humor stayed true to the original as well. Excellent work.

it wasnt about him rolling it was him learning how to _JUMP_ like Mario over Bowser. Thats why you hear the Mario jump sound effect when Sonic did it. Because Mario usually jumps over him.

I remember watching this back when I was like 4 or 5 and this being my fav video, just because it had my fav video game characters in it. And I was looking for crossover vids because I was in the mood and came across this video again. Brings back the memories.
Man, when Knuckles punches metal Sonic at 11:18 just as that awesome Death Egg boss remix drops, and then he teams up with Tails and Mario to fight Eggman together... that was insane! I seriously was not expecting to watch something this awesome when I clicked the video. Subscribed, can't wait to see more.

I remember when I was about 6 years old and I saw this as a child, suddenly it appeared to me and I did not hesitate to see it again, it is still as special and unique as it used to be

This brings me back to my days of scouring the internet for sonic flash animations & fan content and dreaming of doing something cool like that. This was nonstop ear and eye candy, story, animation and sequencing, editing everything, as is stated by 99% of the comment section. I also love how despite how obvious song choices can be in these videos, especially when pulled from recognizable games, these songs blended with the tone and events of the scene so well that you almost treat it like an original score. Same with the voice clips and such, even when sonic flips between Ryan and Jason lol. Perfect balance of humor, action, fanservice, pacing, etc. just wonderful.

they have made Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games, but I want a real Mario and Sonic with their friends actually defeating Bowser and Eggman. you could switch characters that be awesome!
