@@AniMangHwa_They are making the face change realistic. In the manhwa, Jinwoo looked godly even before achieving his shadow monarch abilities, and sometimes looked goofy like the anime version. A1 pictures will probably bring his full change in the next cour/season with the haircut cuz that will make more sense. He gets stronger , smarter and better looking as he levels up. In the manhwa, it was not visible as all of it happens all together. Here it will be. In a preview released by A1 pictures before the anime aired, we saw Jinwoo's post haircut scene ( against demon king Barran) and he looked really good and exactly the same as in the manhwa.
Igris is a Favorite of mine! Also the reason Jinwoo could catch the blade is an effect of one of the gloves/gauntlets he equipped, it prevents any injury's to the hand
It's funny, how for us Manhwa readers, in Season 1 of Solo Leveling, the hypest part isn't the toughest battle of Sung Jin Woo, it's what comes after, i.e. ARISE.
Fun fact: igris was originally sitting on the throne but he thought it would make him look arrogant if he sat there when sung arrived so he stood behind the pillar instead
Details left off that some people might ask about: Jinwoo was weak compared to Igris, but when he was on the throne, he used that opportunity to hold his sword (with his recent armour), he used all his strength to throw Igris sword away, stabe him in the eye with his ability "fatal strike" (which gives critical hit in weak spot) and pushed Igris against the wall, then he proceeded to use almost ALL of his mana with multiple "Fatal Strike" (cost 70 mana) + his passive ability of "Dagger proficiency" which gives him 33% all stats when using daggers, he got both of those abilities in episode 10 (last ep). You can call that plot armour but I call that luck and right use of opportunity.
You should read the author's recent additional chapters to the Manwha, he shows this entire fight through Igris's perspective instead of Jinwoo and what he was thinking during the entire fight
