Farms are a big hurdle for me, never made much more than aesthetic crop farms or tree fields. This video made me do another first; linking farms to one another.
I built his tree farm and hooked it up to this and made it toggle on and off, so I can choose wood or fuel. I just went afk on and off for a couple hours and already have a double chest of charcoal.
One of my favorite builds now, its too useful!
At first I was like "hmm that wouldn't make sense" but now I want to try it!

My friends and I have started a world and I’ve been making a bunch of farms: Skelton farm for xp and bones, fishing farm, iron farm, stick/emerald farm and was wondering what to do next and boom this shows up

One tip. Put charcoal (at least 2) in first slot of fuel feeding hopper than fill the other four slots with 1 dirt block each (or anything else that can't be used as fuel) to get charcoal in the chest faster.

Which ones do you mean?
The hoppers that feed into the back of the furnace. They will fill up with 5 stacks of charcoal. Or you can put something that doesn’t burn in the other four slots of the hopper and get the charcoal in the chest faster.

Have to wait until the autocrafter releases in 1.21. Right now, there isn't an automatic way to turn dried kelp into blocks.

Hey did you know if you put 2 fire protection on a netherite armor set you take no damage in lava
u shoud convert this farm to kelp block farm. it wont require any input after it has started. i converted your infinite bonemeal farm into dried kelp farm

I have a question. So the farm is completed and everybut but the charcoal that is made goes into the fuel section of the furnaces instead of the big chest where it should be. What did I do wrong ?

Not sure how efficient this is but definitely pretty neat and nice to have. I wonder if crafting the logs into planks would yield more charcoal or just the same as it may burn faster?

if the coal doesent distribute equally dont unite the chest at 2:00 and it solves the problem
If your charcoal stays at the droppers you have to set the repeaters to 4 ticks. Hope i helped:)

@@Trickster2147 first you need to take the charcoal out of the droppers and put it into the chest with charcoal in it and now it should work.

Logs to charcoal gotta be the worst trade off in minecraft
Logs are easily renewable. Plenty of trees are undesirable for building because of color. A tree farm of ugly trees gives you infinite coal and eliminates the need to go mining for torch fuel.

Its a nice system but i dont think you could say its faster than other charcoal farms. It looks convenient and will probably use something like this cuz i absolutely hate mining coal

Bamboo can burn. It'd take a ton of it though.

@@martinkasse1932 JC Playz exclusively does tutorials for bedrock because, one, kids play on bedrock and his tutorials are easy to follow, and two, because there aren't a lot of CZcamsr s who do simple bedrock tutorials. Hope that helps.
Not only that, but for people who have the game on consoles, JC is helping those folks out.
I personally got my son a Switch for Christmas a few years ago, and he loves playing Minecraft on his Switch. Haven’t touched Java since 1.17 and I don’t plan on doing so anytime soon. To each their own.

Kind of a waste. Coal is super easy to mine. You get way more than the same time spent getting wood.
The Villager Smiths will buy Coal and will not buy Charcoal.

While coal isn't HARD to find, wood is definitely much more convenient to source.
Plus, each log is 8 charcoal while you're probably not getting that many coals for each block you mine.
