I got my first dive computer! I'm no expert in dive equipment, but so far I think this computer will serve me well. Let me know what you use if you dive.

Great video! I would like videos like this one here and there. And I really dig your motivational "shorts" (akwardly scratching my head). There was a young woman called "Nighbirde" who had participated inAGT in 2021. She had cancer and sadly died a year ago at the age of 31 😢. She said at the talent show: "You can't wait until life isn't hard anymore before you decide to be happy." Man, that hit me like a freight train ...
Crazy what those watches do today. My watch can only show time and date, nothing more 😅. But it still looks stylish. A diving license is on my bucket list.

Oh you're getting a diving license? I'm sure you'll like that. I did my 1978 at the age of 14 in Spain.Of course, this was only possible with the permission of my great parents who thank God were not helicopter parents.Of course, I had to learn to snorkel in a swimming pool for many hours and make the first dives with a breathing apparatus before I was let into the sea.At that time I was the smallest and youngest in the diving school and they didn't even have a wetsuit for me at first. When you think of diving paradises, you always think of Australia or Hawaii, etc., but Europe is also absolutely great.Nowhere else are there so many shipwrecks or different climates in such a small space, whether you dive in Norway or in the subtropical Mediterranean. I still proudly have an old big ship's compa on my desk ,Which I and my diving friends (of course you never dive alone) have recovered from an old German freighter and which I then restored. Diving in reservoirs here in Germany is also interesting. In the Möhnesee, for example, is an old village under water, with the church and houses and what is a bit creepy also the old cemetery over which you then float.
Always nice to see people who get excited to finish their course! Which agency did you do the certification with? I'm assuming PADI? I'd suggest going further and take these courses:
- AOW (so you can legally dive up to 30m)
- NITROX (very very recommended especially if you dive and travel a lot and does multiple dives in consecutive days, it makes you less tired than normal air)
- Peak Performance Buoyancy (only if you struggle with Buoyancy...this will improve your air consumption a lot more)
- Rescue Diver (it's always good to have knowledge on how to perform underwater rescue)
- Self-reliant (sometimes it's just better to dive alone, and this teaches you the necessary equipment and skills to be self reliant)
- Sidemount (once you go Sidemount, you don't go back!)
I've never heard of the brand of your dive computer. I mostly use Suunto, ScubaPro and Shearwater (but this one is mostly used for TecDive, for recreational, it's just too glorified lol).
I got my Atmos last month, but I would not sleep with it! It is way too thick! I have this watch for my diving, but I usually wear my Garmin 745 otherwise. Underwater the visibility of the watch is good, but don't plan to use it as a torch replacement.🙂
Funny never knew Atmos did also dive computers. I know the sell camera periferals. That said I like the Suunto D5, got it last year. Seems to be out of stock atm. All the best for the exam, but do concentrate on the exam, not the watch. 😉

Honestly I never bought or used a single Apple product!! Even a watch!!

The real truth is Apple watch Ultra is just another out-of-ordinary smart watch!! Not a dive computer!!!
But because of a mobile application called "oceanic+"(thats a different company which sells their own dive computers) it transforms into a dive computer!! The app literally does everything!! The most basic features for dive computers are in the app!! Apple didn't built in to there smart watch!!
Without that app its just a ordinary smart watch that'll be useless underwater!!!
