Thank you sir, this will help me know what I am getting myself into. Will make the process a no-brainer.
Glad the video helped.
Thank you so much....just what I needed!
Glad it helped!
thank you
You're welcome
What about the diaphragm on the bottom? Mine is leaking from both. What kind of repair for that one? Thanks.
You are going to need to take off the carburetor to get to the bottom diaphragm.
Also, mine is a 2 barrel MC 2100 carburetor on a 1980 CJ5 jeep with a 258 inline 6 engine. Is diaphragm specific? Thanks.
I suggestion when looking for parts to look up your specific year of the vehicle to find the correct part.
I have the same carburetor. In a 78 Lincoln mark v. and I thought it was my acceleration pump gasket I replaced it and to come find out my carburetor is leaking from the bottom it’s 4 bolts right underneath the acceleration pump any idea what that is any insight will be helpful the gas in leaking onto my intake manifold.
If the carb is leaking between the carb and manifold it could be the gasket.
@@kurtpasewaldt ok thank you
What’s the 4 bolts under the acceleration pump. That where the gas coming from soon as I turn on my car I can feel the gas leaking from underneath
Where did you get the replacement diaphragm and what is it's part number? Thanks.
The diaphragm was part of a carburetor rebuild kit I bought a few years back. You can google Carburetor Accelerator Pump Diaphragm or Walker Products 15369D Carburetor Kit. Just make sure it fits your model carburetor. Hope that helps
what problem did this fix? just the leak? or some other indicator?
Just the leak. Gas would drip onto the manifold.
