yh I'm the same way, I just go about my day. Pleasantries are so fake to me especially the "how are you?". More time the other person doesn't care, they're just saying it to be polite. Personally I won't even ask if they're alright if I don't generally care. One time I said "u alright" to my employer as a greating, and she just went off. Started calling me disrespectful and that I should instead say "Hello, how are you?". Some people really take pleasantries to heart which's odd because pleasantries in the first place are not genuine.
I worry that this protest situation is going to backfire and deepen racial divides. It's always the loudest voices that get heard, and the loudest voices are usually the extremes. Never forget that most people are just trying to live their lives and make a good future for their family.
