I rarely comment online but here’s my opinion: Jordy’s sweet nature naturally comes across and it’s obvious that he’s genuinely a good person. If it upsets you that others judge him or the relationship then by all means pull back but just know you don’t need to explain that he’s a good man. That comes across very clearly.

Agreed - it seems like a delicate time for Jordy’s family, so it could be good for everyone if you could focus on content other than your (and therefore his) personal life. It seems like the trip was to be a very special and meaningful time for his family. Special moments between the two of you can still be documented for you to share in the future without being shared for public comment. I’m sure it’s tough to come up with content, but sharing your personal life will open everyone you care about to critiques and others may not be able to handle that so well, even if they want to be able to support you.

I love this. It's so true. Maybe it's because I'm in my 40s now and didn't grow up with all of the "influencers" that younger people have now, but I think that people trying to go crazy with expensive gifts just to give extravagant gifts are missing the point. The thought put into a gift is where it's at. Jordy is an old soul with his thoughtfulness. The gifts that Michel has shared with us makes it evident that he really "sees" Michel.

I absolutely LOVE that Jordy does not care what anyone thinks or says. It's nice of you to share that part of your life but, remember that it's your life, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. As someone who has been watching you from the beginning of your channel, there is a clear difference between your relationship with Jordy and your relationship with your ex. Jordy is so outwardly supportive and loving and that's not at all what I saw with your ex. Just the way Jordy looks at you is beautiful and loving and that should be enough for anyone to know how he feels about you.
That's actually insane that people criticized Jordy for planning a thoughtful beautiful day in PARIS FRANCE and that was perceived as you not being treated well. Thats such an amazing gift and something you will always remember. I hate that that was misunderstood but I hope you can separate those misconceptions and cherish that time.

IMHO, I thought it was the most precious gift he gave you for Christmas. It probably took a considerable amount of time and planning and it took a lot of thought for all he arranged in Paris, I think he did fantastic.

I tend to be more protective of Jordy because I feel we have some things in common. My kind, gentle, loving husband was very mistreated by his ex-wife. I have never been married before. Sadly enough you are always going to find people who are judgmental and sometimes people say things that they might not want to hear to come across the way they do. I understand how sensitive and sad it feels when people judge without knowing those we love. But, that’s ok. Let them express what they think they see or feel. Because in all truth all that matters is that you know who Jordy is and how happy he makes you. I see Jordy as a kind, caring giving, respectful, supportive and loving young man. Very much like you, genuine and loving, caring kind souls. Unfortunately people are not always kind or don’t know how to be some what more reserved with their opinions. As an older girl, the gift of fun experiences is more meaningful. Those are the gifts that are remembered years later not a present that you open. As far as the culinary school…yay! If I can tell younger girls one thing, it is to keep learning what interests you. Makes you happier and intriguing to others.

I have severe psoriasis and I'm just at the tail end of a huge flare up due to my Mum passing and dealing with my family and your videos make me smile and give me hope of better times ahead, so thankyou to both of you ❤

Congrats on taking the next step towards a passion of yours.
I think you came across well in sharing what was on your heart. If what I am about to say doesn’t resonate, feel free to just discard this. I have had a natural tendency, like you, throughout most of my life to care about what others think and to not want to be misunderstood. I have spent so much time deliberating about what to say, to be cautious, and to try and see situations from all angles. What I eventually came to realize for myself (so not saying this must be true for you) was rather than trying to manage how I showed up in the world, was to go within and heal the parts of myself that cared so much or were in fear. I know that at the end of the day, people are going to have whatever perception or experience they are going to have because we are all creating our own reality and I can’t control what happens for others.
As for myself, my approach became to first connect in with my own sense of calm and wholeness and then invite in whatever fear or resistance I was experiencing in the moment. Years of therapy or processing couldn’t begin to compete with the effectiveness that this approach has had for me. It’s like being the child and the parent at the same time to myself. When a child is scared, a good parent believes unequivocally in the child’s wholeness, but sits and listens to the child for as long as they need, never rushing the child’s experience, until their emotional experience is resolved. But while a child may at first believe in their scary emotions or experience, the parent never loses sight of the child’s wellbeing (it's kind of like how Jordy is already so confident that he doesn't feel the need to explain himself, it's a deeper, unshakable knowing). Children tend to pattern their sense of self based off of how the parent patterns their sense of self. So, when we connect to our own wholeness and then listen with unconditional love to the parts of ourselves that are temporarily aligned with anything less than the truth of our wellbeing, in time, the non-truth resolves and we move forward in life with more peace. We can't rush it. We just show up with love.
Having deeply done this own practice for myself over the past year has led to massive amounts of healing. Stuff I just couldn’t figure out with my mind or talk myself into for years and years has shifted dramatically. Just two days ago, I received a curt and slightly aggressive email from someone that months before would have sent me into a huge tailspin of emotions. I would have immediately wanted to explain my good intentions and would have spent days obsessing over my own hurt feelings and whether I could get this “situation” to turn out the way I meant for it to turn out. But instead, after seeing the email, I felt a tiny twinge of discomfort within myself, showed up for that feeling with compassion, and then deleted the email because true wisdom (which I now had more access to) showed me that there was nothing that needed to be done. Such a difference! There is a whole new world of emotional freedom available to me now and I'm sure still so much more to come.
Anyhow, if this perspective makes you feel hopeful or empowered that’s great. But if not, just let it go. There’s more than one path to self-love. Take care and happy 2024!

Congrats on culinary school, I am challenging myself to become a certified pharmacy technician this year, it is my retirement job plan. I really wanted to be a pharmacist but my family finances stopped me from doing that. You are never too old to learn something new. Do not feel obligated to give constant updates on Jordy's dad's condition. You don't owe us that at all. I hope he recovers quickly and his health improves! But, I do have to say, you got yourself a good boy! For him and his siblings to plan, pay for, and surprise their parents with that trip is so sweet, kinda, and loving. Jordy really seems like such a good dude! Edit: I wrote this before I saw you saying people were being mean to Jordy...stop that. It's so obvious Jordy is a genuinely good dude. He clearly loves and cares for her. Stop projecting and sometimes we should keep our opinions to ourselves if it might hurt someone.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with healthy communication. You expressed your desires and he made them come true. What a great guy. We should strive for doing that ourselves. Keep communicating and keep fulfilling each others dreams. You'll go so far with that level of communication.
This is exactly why I yelled at my screen (not literally lol) about a week or two ago when you said you were thinking about, but hesitant, about starting a podcast with Jordy. DON'T! It would be this every week for the duration of your podcast and ever more while recordings exist. If you had the same attitude as Jordy, MAYBE it wouldn't be a bad idea. But that's not you and that's okay. Please protect your relationship at all costs. It's too precious to put out there for what exactly?

Everyone's relationship is different with certain allowances, inside jokes, expectations and just all around culture. I laughed when Jordy gave you that stationery from the gift cupboard. I thought the gifts were personal and thoughtful each. My SO & I did art tee shirts plus stockings for each other and it was awesome. Others might find that "not enough" but that's on them and they don't know our hearts. I hope you can shake off those negative comments and revel in the first Christmas morning together in Oceanside. I noticed them when I watch and it made me feel sick to think people thought they knew enough about your amazing relationship to comment the things they did, especially knowing what you have been through with your last relationship. I’m so glad you’re not letting the opinions of ignorant people get to you and I’m sorry that you felt guilty in any way for the actions of others. Dear Michel, I'm always impressed of how articulate and deep you analyze and process your feelings! Honestly, since Jordy came into the picture, it is evident by all means that he brings good to you and your life and we're all super happy for you ❤ unfortunately there will always be people who interpret with their own glasses or even trolls.
