Thank you for watching our LIVE BLACKJACK video. We play basic strategy for the most part. Although even that varies for some, for example, we always split 4's against a dealer 5 or 6. Some strategy charts says never to split 4's (We disagree). Every now and again one of us will deviate though, like maybe we will get a little crazy and split our 4's against a dealer 4. Yes, we know the "rules" say not to do that, but hey, we may decide to just "go for it." It is our money after all. BUT, I will say, when we are on the table with other players, we respect that and will stick to playing firmly by "the rules." We get how frustrating it can be to have another player play wonky when you have money on the table. Thank you for watching and I hope you enjoy this new segment of our channel. We plan to make this a weekly segment and hopefully build to more than once a week. Unfortunately it has been difficult to get filming approval, but we finally have a few casinos willing to work with us. Some videos might be just Kelly, others just Jamie, but most often the two of us will play together. And hopefully we can eventually have some other fun people join in with us also. How much fun will that be!?!

Well done Kelly and Jamie, 100% match with the basic strategy chart! The true count was perhaps about +3 towards the end of the first shoe, giving you a tiny edge, nothing substantial though. Especially since you bet equally as much in the second one, where it was even more negative ;) Given that you could only spread from $25 - $100 it is impossible to win in the long run in such a game, by counting alone.

We typically don't play side bets. Maybe one day we will do a video with them.
at 4:56 you played it wrong, but , thanks to you, both won, so , it was not too wrong after all...
Hitting 12 vs 2 is optimal play according to basic strategy, nothing wrong there. And if youre going to construct your strategy based on the outcome after the hand is over, blackjack is gonna be an exhausting game for you...
There's always debate regarding a hard 12 vs a 2. I see people say hit, others say stay. Personally, after two years of playing hard, I've found that staying usually works out better

@@redwave1933 so you have recorded all your 12 vs 2 hands during your total blackjack career? Then you either 1) have an amazing memory or 2) simply played too little.
The pioneer of card counting, and several times winner of the award «Blackjack Hall of fame», and professor in math, Stanford Wong gives the EV (based on millions of computed hands) for standing in that situation -0.286, while hitting produces -0.113. That means if your bet is $50, you will lose $50 x -.286 = -$14.3 if you stand, while if you hit you will lose $50 x -0.113 = -$5.65 on average. These data can be found in «Professional Blackjack»: p321, by Stanford Wong. So take your pick, losing $14 or $5?
@@morgankane961 like I said, I've only been playing two years. In my own personal experience, staying has paid out more than hitting. Computer simulations don't mean anything to me frankly
Why not sidebets ? U got too many perfect pair... 3 of kind.. i play online.. perfect par is 25x and suitedtrips its 100X ... its 6 deck cards..
I just never played them. Maybe I will set aside $500 just for side bets and see how I do.
I think u should do it. But i dont know anything about how much u get payed there for sidebets. online is always much more.

We ALWAYS tip our dealers...very well mind you. We tip at the end before we leave the table so we can get accurate counts of win/loss for the videos. You are watching one part of several videos in a series. We filmed for about three hours.
