    I've been looking for this. I'm considering getting your book, but first I want to try a couple more of those sweet jazz improvisation lines. *sniffs. I'm practicing these a lot!

    Due to popular demand from customers (thank you for the overwhelming support of the book by the way, it means a lot), I'm working on videos of all the contents included in this book.
    (This will be available for customers only).
    It will take me a few weeks to record, edit, and most importantly, find the right way to share it with the buyers, but rest assured I'm working on it!

    EDIT: Now 4 QR code links to the full book are included in the PDF.

    Very good, thanks! I´m wondering though, in the first exercise in B (1:49): up to the fifth would be F# i guess, not F?

      Thank you!
      If you think in Major triads yeah, it would be F#, but for this exercise I'm using in the Diatonic Triads from C Major.

    Juan, could you teach us how to apply the segments that we’ve had transcribed? I really like to transcribe and I have some talent transcribing, but I really don’t know how to apply in my implementations. Could you record a video talking and explaining this process? Thank you for your great job.

    Is it possible for a playlist of the licks in book ? I have the book but it would help me enormously to be able to listen to what the exercises should sound like. A reference. Great site content my friend ❤

    Hi teacher! Great work! I just want to know if we need to practice the left hand like this as well? Cause I think for beginners like us, we seldomly play both hands lines together, our left hands only play the voicing comping. So what if I practice Jazz Hanon only by right hands, and play the voicing in my left hands, would that be a more efficient way for us beginners to learn bebop? Thank you!!!😊😊

    • @JuanOrtizPiano
      @JuanOrtizPiano  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Hi, thank you for your great question.
      In Jazz, it's of course much more common to play melodies/improv in right hand while playing some kind of voicing in the left hand.
      That's primarily why I made the first part of the book Unison. Because we are not used to playing lines in the left hand. It's of course not the more common way to play, but the point of practicing technique is to "get you ready to be able to play anything, SPECIALLY the things that you don't use in real life often"
      So, in case you ever NEED to play like that, you actually CAN do it.
      Hope this helps.
      Best!

    Exercises are great, but didn't really understand how you're approaching the thirds in the first technique

    • @JuanOrtizPiano
      @JuanOrtizPiano  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Hi, thank you 🙏!
      Thethirds in the first exercise are approached twice (once from below and once from above). Two different groups of enclosures put together for the purpose of this specific exercise.
