Raj's father's war story alludes to The Dark Forest hypothesis, which is also the name of the second book in the series. In his story, he plays dead in order to survive his encounter with the enemies. If he doesn't stay silent, he will surely be found and killed. After he kills his enemies, he then takes his enemies' oxygen and supplies to give to his own soldiers because there is only a finite amount of resources available, which is another allusion to a part of the third book

Great video! I think it is pretty much a given that the other two guys playing the game (Galileo and Aristotle?) are from modern times and are real other players not NPC's, one of them wears modern glasses. I think during his time lens were a brand new invention
